For the director.לַמְנַצֵּחַA psalmמִזְמוֹרof David.לְדָוִדHappy isאַשְׁרֵיthe one who considersמַשְׂכִּילthe poor;אֶל דָּלin the dayבְּיוֹםof evilרָעָהYHWHיְהוָהwill let him escape.יְמַלְּטֵהוּ
YHWHיְהוָהwill keep himיִשְׁמְרֵהוּand give him life,וִיחַיֵּהוּand he will be called happyוְאֻשַּׁרin the land;בָּאָרֶץand do notוְאַלgive him overתִּתְּנֵהוּto the desireבְּנֶפֶשׁof his enemies.אֹיְבָיו
YHWHיְהוָהwill support himיִסְעָדֶנּוּon the couchעַל עֶרֶשׂof illness;דְּוָיallכָּלhis bedמִשְׁכָּבוֹyou have changedהָפַכְתָּin his sickness.בְחָלְיוֹ
Iאֲנִיsaid,אָמַרְתִּי“YHWH,יְהוָהshow me favor;חָנֵּנִיhealרְפָאָהmy soul,נַפְשִׁיforכִּיI have sinnedחָטָאתִיagainst you.”לָךְ
My enemiesאוֹיְבַיspeakיֹאמְרוּevilרַעof me:לִי“Whenמָתַיwill he dieיָמוּתand his nameשְׁמוֹperish?”וְאָבַד
And ifוְאִםhe comesבָּאto see me,לִרְאוֹתfalsehoodשָׁוְאhe speaks;יְדַבֵּרhis heartלִבּוֹgathersיִקְבָּץwickednessאָוֶןfor itself;לוֹhe goes outיֵצֵאoutsideלַחוּץand speaks.יְדַבֵּר
Togetherיַחַדagainst meעָלַיallכָּלwho hate meשֹׂנְאָיwhisper;יִתְלַחֲשׁוּagainst meעָלַיthey plotיַחְשְׁבוּevilרָעָהfor me.לִי
“A thingדְּבַרof perversityבְּלִיַּעַלhas been poured outיָצוּקon him,בּוֹand he whoוַאֲשֶׁרhas lain downשָׁכַבwill notלֹאriseלָקוּםagain.”יוֹסִיף
Evenגַּםthe manאִישׁof my peace,שְׁלוֹמִיin whomאֲשֶׁר בוֹI trusted,בָּטַחְתִּיwho ateאוֹכֵלmy bread,לַחְמִיhas made greatהִגְדִּילagainst meעָלַיthe heel.עָקֵב
But you,וְאַתָּהYHWH,יְהוָהshow me favorחָנֵּנִיand raise me up,וַהֲקִימֵנִיand I will repayוַאֲשַׁלְּמָהthem.לָהֶם
By thisבְּזֹאתI knowיָדַעְתִּיthatכִּיyou delightחָפַצְתָּin me:בִּיthatכִּיmy enemyאֹיְבִיdoes notלֹאshoutיָרִיעַover me.עָלָי
And as for me,וַאֲנִיin my integrityבְּתֻמִּיyou have upheld meתָּמַכְתָּ בִּיand set meוַתַּצִּיבֵנִיbefore youלְפָנֶיךָforever.לְעוֹלָם
Blessed beבָּרוּךְYHWH,יְהוָהthe Elohimאֱלֹהֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלfrom eternityמֵהָעוֹלָםand to eternity.וְעַד הָעוֹלָםAmenאָמֵןand amen.וְאָמֵן
