ForγὰρI testifyμαρτυρῶabout themαὐτοῖςthatὅτιthey haveἔχουσινa zealζῆλονfor God,θεοῦbutἀλλ’notοὐaccording toκατ’knowledge.ἐπίγνωσιν
For,γὰρnot knowingἀγνοοῦντεςthe righteousnessτὴν δικαιοσύνηνof Godτοῦ θεοῦandκαὶseekingζητοῦντεςto establishστῆσαιtheir own,τὴν ἰδίανthey did notοὐχsubmitὑπετάγησανto the righteousnessτῇ δικαιοσύνῃof God.τοῦ θεοῦ
Forγὰρthe MessiahΧριστὸςisthe endτέλοςof the lawνόμουforεἰςrighteousnessδικαιοσύνηνto everyoneπαντὶ τῷwho believes.πιστεύοντι
ForγὰρMosesΜωϋσῆςwritesγράφειthatὅτιthe personὁ ἄνθρωποςwho doesποιήσαςthe righteousnessτὴν δικαιοσύνηνthat isτὴνfromἐκthe lawτοῦ νόμουwill liveζήσεταιbyἐνit.αὐτῇ
Butδὲthe righteousnessἡ δικαιοσύνηthat isfromἐκfaithπίστεωςspeaksλέγειthis way:οὕτωςDo notΜὴsayεἴπῃςinἐνyourσουheart,τῇ καρδίᾳWhoΤίςwill go upἀναβήσεταιintoεἰςheaven?τὸν οὐρανόν(thatτοῦτ’is,ἔστινto bring downκαταγαγεῖνthe Messiah);Χριστὸν
or:ἤWhoΤίςwill go downκαταβήσεταιintoεἰςthe abyss?τὴν ἄβυσσον(thatτοῦτ’is,ἔστινto bring upἀναγαγεῖνthe MessiahΧριστὸνfromἐκthe dead).νεκρῶν
Butἀλλὰwhatτίdoes it say?λέγειThe wordτὸ ῥῆμάisἐστινnearἘγγύςyou,σουinἐνyourσουmouthτῷ στόματίandκαὶinἐνyourσουheart;τῇ καρδίᾳthatτοῦτ’is,ἔστινthe wordτὸ ῥῆμαof faithτῆς πίστεωςthatὃwe proclaim:κηρύσσομεν
thatὅτιifἐὰνyou confessὁμολογήσῃςwithἐνyourσουmouthτῷ στόματίJesusἸησοῦνasLordκύριονandκαὶbelieveπιστεύσῃςinἐνyourσουheartτῇ καρδίᾳthatὅτιGodὁ θεὸςraisedἤγειρενhimαὐτὸνfromἐκthe dead,νεκρῶνyou will be saved.σωθήσῃ
Forγὰρwith the heartκαρδίᾳone believesπιστεύεταιforεἰςrighteousness,δικαιοσύνηνandδὲwith the mouthστόματιone confessesὁμολογεῖταιforεἰςsalvation.σωτηρίαν
Forγὰρthe Scriptureἡ γραφήsays:λέγειEveryoneΠᾶςwho believesὁ πιστεύωνinἐπ’himαὐτῷwill notοὐbe put to shame.καταισχυνθήσεται
Forγάρthere isἐστινnoοὐdistinctionδιαστολὴbetween JewἸουδαίουandτε καὶGreek;Ἕλληνοςforγὰρthe sameὁ αὐτὸςLordκύριοςis Lordof all,πάντωνrichπλουτῶνtowardεἰςallπάνταςwho call onτοὺς ἐπικαλουμένουςhim.αὐτόν
ForγὰρeveryoneΠᾶςwhoὃς ἂνcalls onἐπικαλέσηταιthe nameτὸ ὄνομαof the Lordκυρίουwill be saved.σωθήσεται
HowΠῶςthenοὖνare they to call onἐπικαλέσωνταιhiminεἰςwhomὃνthey have notοὐκbelieved?ἐπίστευσανAndδὲhowπῶςare they to believeπιστεύσωσινin himwhomοὗthey have notοὐκheard?ἤκουσανAndδὲhowπῶςare they to hearἀκούσωσινwithoutχωρὶςsomeone proclaiming?κηρύσσοντος
Andδὲhowπῶςare they to proclaimκηρύξωσινunlessἐὰν μὴthey are sent?ἀποσταλῶσινAsκαθὼςit is written:γέγραπταιHowὩςbeautifulὡραῖοιarethe feetοἱ πόδεςof those who announce the good newsτῶν εὐαγγελιζομένωνof good things!τὰ ἀγαθά
Butἀλλ’notοὐallπάντεςobeyedὑπήκουσανthe good news;τῷ εὐαγγελίῳforγὰρIsaiahἨσαΐαςsays:λέγειLord,Κύριεwhoτίςhas believedἐπίστευσενourἡμῶνmessage?τῇ ἀκοῇ
Soἄραfaithἡ πίστιςcomesfromἐξhearing,ἀκοῆςandδὲhearingἡ ἀκοὴthroughδιὰthe wordῥήματοςof the Messiah.Χριστοῦ
ButἈλλὰI say:λέγωIt is notμὴthat they did notοὐκhear,ἤκουσανis it?On the contrary:μενοῦνγεIntoΕἰςallπᾶσανthe earthτὴν γῆνtheirαὐτῶνvoiceὁ φθόγγοςhas gone out,ἐξῆλθενandκαὶtoεἰςthe endsτὰ πέραταof the inhabited worldτῆς οἰκουμένηςtheirαὐτῶνwords.τὰ ῥήματα
ButἀλλὰI say:λέγωIt is notμὴthat IsraelἸσραὴλdid notοὐκknow,ἔγνωis it?FirstπρῶτοςMosesΜωϋσῆςsays:λέγειIἘγὼwill provoke you to jealousyπαραζηλώσω ὑμᾶςwithἐπ’what is notοὐκa nation;ἔθνειwithἐπ’a nationἔθνειwithout understandingἀσυνέτῳI will make you angry.παροργιῶ ὑμᾶς
AndδὲIsaiahἨσαΐαςis very boldἀποτολμᾷandκαὶsays:λέγειI was foundΕὑρέθηνbyἐνthose whoτοῖςdid notμὴseekζητοῦσινme;ἐμὲI becameἐγενόμηνvisibleἐμφανὴςto those whoτοῖςdid notμὴask forἐπερωτῶσινme.ἐμὲ
