7-day plan: Holiness
A God completely set apart and completely just, who calls his people to live differently.
One passage a day, with a question to think it over. Your progress stays on this device, no account needed.
Day 1 · Holy, Holy, Holy
Isaiah sees Adonai on the throne, and the seraphim cry "Holy, holy, holy"
In the year of the death of King Uzziah, I saw Adonai sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and his skirts filled the temple. Seraphim were standing above him; six wings, six wings to each one; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said, “Holy, holy, holy is YHWH Tsevaot; the fullness of all the earth is his glory.” And the pivots of the thresholds shook at the voice of the one who called, and the house was filling with smoke. And I said, “Woe to me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and in the midst of a people of unclean lips I dwell; for the King, YHWH Tsevaot, my eyes have seen.”

For the name of YHWH I will proclaim; ascribe greatness to our Elohim. The Rock: his work is blameless, for all his ways are justice. An El of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is he.

Elohim is a righteous judge, and an El who is indignant every day. If he does not turn back, he will sharpen his sword; he has bent his bow and made it ready. And for him he has prepared weapons of death; he makes his arrows fiery.

Day 7 · His Anger at Evil
At the golden calf, God burns with anger and Moses pleads for the people
And YHWH said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and look, it is a stubborn people. Now let me alone, so that my anger may burn against them and I may consume them; and I will make you into a great nation.” But Moses pleaded before YHWH his Elohim and said, “Why, YHWH, does your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a strong hand? Why should the Egyptians say, ‘With evil intent he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to consume them from the face of the ground’? Turn from the heat of your anger and relent concerning the evil planned against your people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your servants, to whom you swore by yourself and said to them, ‘I will multiply your offspring like the stars of the heavens, and all this land that I have spoken of I will give to your offspring, and they shall inherit it forever.’” And YHWH relented concerning the evil that he had said he would do to his people.
