2 Chronicles 14:12, word by word
- YHWHיְהוָהyehva
YHWH
The personal name of the God of Israel, written in Hebrew with four letters, Y-H-W-H, without vowels. Out of reverence Jews stopped pronouncing it and read "Adonai" (Lord), so many Bibles put "the LORD" or "Jehovah". This translation keeps the four letters. The name is related to the verb "to be" (Exodus 3:14-15). He is not a god other than Elohim: "YHWH Elohim" is the same Creator God, called by his name.

The context
11Asa cried out to YHWH his Elohim and said, “YHWH, there is none like you to help between the mighty and the one without strength. Help us, YHWH our Elohim, for on you we rely, and in your name we have come against this multitude. YHWH, you are our Elohim; do not let mortal man prevail against you.”

13Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar; and of the Cushites there fell until they had no life left, for they were broken before YHWH and before his camp. And they carried away very much spoil.
