YHWH

The personal name of the God of Israel, written in Hebrew with four letters, Y-H-W-H, without vowels. Out of reverence Jews stopped pronouncing it and read "Adonai" (Lord), so many Bibles put "the LORD" or "Jehovah". This translation keeps the four letters. The name is related to the verb "to be" (Exodus 3:14-15). He is not a god other than Elohim: "YHWH Elohim" is the same Creator God, called by his name.

2 Chronicles 24:15-27

15Jehoiada grew old and was satisfied with days, and he died; he was a hundred and thirty years old when he died. 16They buried him in the city of David with the kings, because he had done good in Israel, and toward Elohim and his house. 17After the death of Jehoiada the officials of Judah came and bowed down to the king; then the king listened to them. 18They abandoned the house of YHWH, Elohim of their fathers, and served the Asherahs and the idols; and there was wrath on Judah and Jerusalem for this guilt of theirs. 19He sent prophets among them to bring them back to YHWH; they testified against them, but they did not give ear. 20The spirit of Elohim clothed Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest; and he stood above the people and said to them, “Thus says Elohim: ‘Why are you transgressing the commandments of YHWH? You will not prosper; because you have abandoned YHWH, he has abandoned you.’” 21They conspired against him and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of YHWH. 22Joash the king did not remember the loyal love that Jehoiada, Zechariah’s father, had shown him, and he killed his son. And as he died, he said, “May YHWH see and call to account!” 23And it happened, at the turn of the year, that the force of Aram came up against him; they came to Judah and Jerusalem, and destroyed all the officials of the people from among the people, and all their spoil they sent to the king of Damascus. 24For with a few men the force of Aram came, and YHWH gave into their hand a very great force, because they had abandoned YHWH, Elohim of their fathers. And on Joash they executed judgments. 25When they had gone from him —for they left him with many ailments —his servants conspired against him because of the blood of the sons of Jehoiada the priest, and they killed him on his bed, and he died; and they buried him in the city of David, but they did not bury him in the tombs of the kings. 26These are the ones who conspired against him: Zabad son of Shimeath the Ammonite woman, and Jehozabad son of Shimrith the Moabite woman. 27As for his sons, and the abundance of the burden upon him, and the founding of the house of Elohim, they are written in the treatise of the book of the kings. And Amaziah his son reigned in his place.

2 Kings 12:17-21

17Then Hazael king of Aram went up and fought against Gath and captured it; and Hazael set his face to go up against Jerusalem. 18Joash king of Judah took all the holy things that Jehoshaphat and Joram and Ahaziah, his fathers, kings of Judah, had consecrated, and his own holy things, and all the gold that was found in the treasuries of the house of YHWH and of the house of the king, and sent it to Hazael king of Aram; and he went away from Jerusalem. 19The rest of the acts of Joash and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 20His servants rose up and made a conspiracy and struck Joash at the house of Millo, which goes down to Silla. 21Jozabad son of Shimeath and Jehozabad son of Shomer, his servants, struck him, and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David; and Amaziah his son reigned in his place.
