YHWH

The personal name of the God of Israel, written in Hebrew with four letters, Y-H-W-H, without vowels. The name is related to the verb "to be" (Exodus 3:14-15). He is not a god other than Elohim: "YHWH Elohim" is the same Creator God, called by his name.

The context

1All the commandment that I am commanding you today you shall be careful to do, so that you may live and multiply, and go in and take possession of the land that YHWH swore to your fathers.

2 · This verse (above)

3He afflicted you and let you hunger and fed you the manna, which you did not know and your fathers did not know, in order to make you know that not by bread alone does a human being live, but by everything that comes out of the mouth of YHWH does a human being live.
