and it went outוְיָצָאfrom Bethelמִבֵּית אֵלto Luz,לוּזָהand passed alongוְעָבַרtoאֶלthe territoryגְּבוּלof the Architesהָאַרְכִּיat Ataroth;עֲטָרוֹת
and it went downוְיָרַדwestwardיָמָּהtoאֶלthe territoryגְּבוּלof the Japhletites,הַיַּפְלֵטִיas far asעַדthe territoryגְּבוּלof LowerתַּחְתּוֹןBeth-horonבֵּית חוֹרֹןand as far asוְעַדGezer,גָּזֶרand its endsוְ תֹצְאֹתָיוwereהָיוּat the sea.יָמָּה
So the sonsוַ בְנֵיof Joseph,יוֹסֵףManassehמְנַשֶּׁהand Ephraim,וְאֶפְרָיִםreceived their inheritance.יִּנְחֲלוּ
And the territoryוַ גְּבוּלof the sonsבְּנֵיof Ephraimאֶפְרַיִםaccording to their familiesלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָםwasיְהִיthis:the borderוַ גְּבוּלof their inheritanceנַחֲלָתָםon the eastמִזְרָחָהwasיְהִיAtaroth-addarעַטְרוֹת אַדָּרas far asעַדUpperעֶלְיוֹןBeth-horon,בֵּית חוֹרֹן
and the borderוְ הַגְּבוּלwent outיָצָאto the sea,הַיָּמָּהwith Michmethathהַמִּכְמְתָתon the north;מִצָּפוֹןand the borderוְ הַגְּבוּלturnedנָסַבeastwardמִזְרָחָהto Taanath-shiloh,תַּאֲנַת שִׁלֹהand passed alongוְעָבַרitאוֹתוֹon the eastמִמִּזְרַחof Janoah;יָנוֹחָה
and it went downוְיָרַדfrom Janoahמִיָּנוֹחָהto Atarothעֲטָרוֹתand to Naarah,וְנַעֲרָתָהand touchedוּפָגַעJericho,בִּירִיחוֹand went outוְיָצָאat the Jordan.הַיַּרְדֵּן
From Tappuahמִתַּפּוּחַthe borderהַגְּבוּלwentיֵלֵךְwestwardיָמָּהto the Brookנַחַלof Kanah,קָנָהand its endsוְ תֹצְאֹתָיוwereהָיוּat the sea.הַיָּמָּהThisזֹאתisthe inheritanceנַחֲלַתof the tribeמַטֵּהof the sonsבְנֵיof Ephraimאֶפְרַיִםaccording to their families,לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם
together with the citiesוְהֶעָרִיםthat were set apartהַמִּבְדָּלוֹתfor the sonsלִבְנֵיof Ephraimאֶפְרַיִםwithinבְּתוֹךְthe inheritanceנַחֲלַתof the sonsבְּנֵיof Manasseh,מְנַשֶּׁהallכָּלthe citiesהֶעָרִיםand their villages.וְחַצְרֵיהֶן
But they did notוְלֹאdispossessהוֹרִישׁוּthe Canaaniteהַכְּנַעֲנִיwho livedהַיּוֹשֵׁבin Gezer;בְּגָזֶרso the Canaaniteוַ הַכְּנַעֲנִיhas livedיֵּשֶׁבin the midstבְּקֶרֶבof Ephraimאֶפְרַיִםtoעַדthisהַזֶּהday,הַיּוֹםand becameוַיְהִיforcedלְמַסlaborers.עֹבֵד
