YHWHיְהוָהspokeוַיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto the sonsאֶל בְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלsaying:לֵאמֹרWhenכִּיa womanאִשָּׁהconceivesתַזְרִיעַand gives birth toוְיָלְדָהa male,זָכָרshe shall be uncleanוְטָמְאָהsevenשִׁבְעַתdays;יָמִיםas in the daysכִּימֵיof the menstruationנִדַּתof her infirmityדְּוֺתָהּshe shall be unclean.תִּטְמָא
And on the eighthוּ הַשְּׁמִינִיdayבַיּוֹםthe fleshבְּשַׂרof his foreskinעָרְלָתוֹshall be circumcised.יִמּוֹל
She shall remainתֵּשֵׁבthirtyוּשְׁלֹשִׁיםdaysיוֹםand threeוּשְׁלֹשֶׁתdaysיָמִיםin the bloodבִּדְמֵיof purification;טָהֳרָהshe shall notלֹאtouchתִגָּעanyבְּכָלholy thingקֹדֶשׁand she shall notוְ לֹאcomeתָבֹאintoאֶלthe sanctuaryהַמִּקְדָּשׁuntilעַדthe daysיְמֵיof her purificationטָהֳרָהּare completed.מְלֹאת
But ifוְאִםshe gives birth toתֵלֵדa female,נְקֵבָהshe shall be uncleanוְטָמְאָהtwo weeks,שְׁבֻעַיִםas in her menstruation;כְּנִדָּתָהּand she shall remainתֵּשֵׁבsixtyוְשִׁשִּׁיםdaysיוֹםand sixוְשֵׁשֶׁתdaysיָמִיםinעַלthe bloodדְּמֵיof purification.טָהֳרָה
Whenוּבִthe daysיְמֵיof her purificationטָהֳרָהּare completed,מְלֹאתfor a sonלְבֵןorאוֹfor a daughter,לְבַתshe shall bringתָּבִיאa lambכֶּבֶשׂa year oldבֶּן שְׁנָתוֹfor a burnt offeringלְעֹלָהand a youngוּבֶןpigeonיוֹנָהorאוֹa turtledoveתֹרfor a sin offering,לְחַטָּאתtoאֶלthe entranceפֶּתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדtoאֶלthe priest.הַכֹּהֵן
He shall present itוְהִקְרִיבוֹbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהand make expiationוְכִפֶּרfor her,עָלֶיהָand she will be cleanוְטָהֲרָהfrom the flowמִמְּקֹרof her blood.דָּמֶיהָThis isזֹאתthe instructionתּוֹרַתfor her who gives birthהַיֹּלֶדֶתto a maleלַזָּכָרorאוֹa female.לַנְּקֵבָה
And ifוְאִםher meansיָדָהּdo notלֹאsufficeתִמְצָאforדֵּיa lamb,שֶׂהshe shall takeוְלָקְחָהtwoשְׁתֵּיturtledovesתֹרִיםorאוֹtwoשְׁנֵיyoungבְּנֵיpigeons,יוֹנָהoneאֶחָדfor a burnt offeringלְעֹלָהand oneוְאֶחָדfor a sin offering;לְחַטָּאתand the priestוְ הַכֹּהֵןshall make expiationכִפֶּרfor her,עָלֶיהָand she will be clean.”וְטָהֵרָה
