AndΚαὶwhenὅτεthey draw nearἐγγίζουσινtoεἰςJerusalem,ἹεροσόλυμαtoεἰςBethphageΒηθφαγὴandκαὶBethany,Βηθανίανatπρὸςthe Mountτὸ Ὄροςof Olives,τῶν Ἐλαιῶνhe sendsἀποστέλλειtwoδύοof his disciplesτῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ
andκαὶsaysλέγειto them,αὐτοῖς“GoὙπάγετεintoεἰςthe villageτὴν κώμηνthat isτὴνoppositeκατέναντιyou,ὑμῶνandκαὶat once,εὐθὺςas you enterεἰσπορευόμενοιintoεἰςit,αὐτὴνyou will findεὑρήσετεa coltπῶλονtied,δεδεμένονonἐφ’whichὃνnoοὐδεὶςpersonἀνθρώπωνhas ever yetοὔπωsat;ἐκάθισενuntieλύσατεitαὐτὸνandκαὶbring it.φέρετε
Andκαὶifἐάνanyoneτιςsaysεἴπῃto you,ὑμῖν‘WhyΤίare you doingποιεῖτεthis?’τοῦτοsay,εἴπατε‘The LordὉ κύριοςneedsχρείαν ἔχειit,αὐτοῦandκαὶhe will sendἀποστέλλειitαὐτὸνbackπάλινhereὧδεat once.’”εὐθὺς
Andκαὶthey went awayἀπῆλθονandκαὶfoundεὗρονa coltπῶλονtiedδεδεμένονatπρὸςa doorθύρανoutsideἔξωinἐπὶthe street,τοῦ ἀμφόδουandκαὶthey untieλύουσινit.αὐτόν
Andκαίsomeτινεςof thoseτῶνstandingἑστηκότωνthereἐκεῖwere sayingἔλεγονto them,αὐτοῖς“WhatΤίare you doing,ποιεῖτεuntyingλύοντεςthe colt?”τὸν πῶλον
Andδὲtheyοἱspokeεἶπανto themαὐτοῖςjust asκαθὼςJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςhad said;εἶπενandκαὶthey letἀφῆκανthem go.αὐτούς
Andκαὶthey bringφέρουσινthe coltτὸν πῶλονtoπρὸςJesusτὸν Ἰησοῦνandκαὶthrowἐπιβάλλουσινtheir cloaksτὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶνon it,αὐτῷandκαὶhe satἐκάθισενonἐπ’it.αὐτόν
Andκαὶmanyπολλοὶspreadἔστρωσανtheir cloaksτὰ ἱμάτια αὐτῶνonεἰςthe road,τὴν ὁδόνandδὲothersἄλλοιspreadleafy branchesστιβάδαςthat they had cutκόψαντεςfromἐκthe fields.τῶν ἀγρῶν
Andκαὶthose whoοἱwent aheadπροάγοντεςandκαὶthose whoοἱfollowedἀκολουθοῦντεςwere crying out,ἔκραζον“Hosanna!ὩσαννάBlessed isΕὐλογημένοςhe whoὁcomesἐρχόμενοςinἐνthe nameὀνόματιof the Lord!κυρίου
Blessed isΕὐλογημένηthe comingἡ ἐρχομένηkingdomβασιλείαof our fatherτοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶνDavid!ΔαυίδHosannaὩσαννὰinἐνthe highest!”τοῖς ὑψίστοις
AndΚαὶhe enteredεἰσῆλθενintoεἰςJerusalem,Ἱεροσόλυμαintoεἰςthe temple;τὸ ἱερόνandκαὶhaving looked around atπεριβλεψάμενοςeverything,πάνταsince the hourτῆς ὥραςwasοὔσηςalreadyἤδηlate,ὀψὲhe went outἐξῆλθενtoεἰςBethanyΒηθανίανwithμετὰthe Twelve.τῶν δώδεκα
AndΚαὶon the next day,τῇ ἐπαύριονas theyαὐτῶνcame outἐξελθόντωνfromἀπὸBethany,Βηθανίαςhe was hungry.ἐπείνασεν
Andκαὶseeingἰδὼνfrom a distanceἀπὸ μακρόθενa fig treeσυκῆνthat hadἔχουσανleaves,φύλλαhe wentἦλθενto seeifεἰperhapsἄραhe would findεὑρήσειanythingτιonἐνit;αὐτῇandκαὶwhen he cameἐλθὼνtoἐπ’itαὐτὴνhe foundεὗρενnothingοὐδὲνbutεἰ μὴleaves,φύλλαforγὰρit was notοὐκ ἦνthe seasonὁ καιρὸςfor figs.σύκων
Andκαὶhe respondedἀποκριθεὶςand saidεἶπενto it,αὐτῇ“May no oneμηδεὶςever againΜηκέτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶναeatφάγοιfruitκαρπὸνfromἐκyou.”σοῦAndκαὶhis disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦwere listening.ἤκουον
AndΚαὶthey comeἔρχονταιtoεἰςJerusalem.ἹεροσόλυμαAndκαὶenteringεἰσελθὼνintoεἰςthe temple,τὸ ἱερὸνhe beganἤρξατοto drive outἐκβάλλεινthose whoτοὺςwere sellingπωλοῦνταςandκαὶthose whoτοὺςwere buyingἀγοράζονταςinἐνthe temple,τῷ ἱερῷandκαὶhe overturnedκατέστρεψενthe tablesτὰς τραπέζαςof the money changersτῶν κολλυβιστῶνandκαὶthe seatsτὰς καθέδραςof those whoτῶνsoldπωλούντωνdoves.τὰς περιστερὰς
Andκαὶhe would notοὐκallowἤφιενanyoneτιςtoἵναcarryδιενέγκῃa vesselσκεῦοςthroughδιὰthe temple.τοῦ ἱεροῦ
Andκαὶhe was teachingἐδίδασκενandκαὶsayingἔλεγενto them,αὐτοῖς“Is it notΟὐwritten,γέγραπται‘MyμουhouseὉ οἶκόςwill be calledκληθήσεταιa houseοἶκοςof prayerπροσευχῆςfor allπᾶσινthe nations’?τοῖς ἔθνεσινButδὲyouὑμεῖςhave madeπεποιήκατεitαὐτὸνa denσπήλαιονof robbers.”λῃστῶν
Andκαὶthe high priestsοἱ ἀρχιερεῖςandκαὶthe scribesοἱ γραμματεῖςheard it,ἤκουσανandκαὶthey were seekingἐζήτουνhowπῶςthey might destroyἀπολέσωσινhim;αὐτὸνforγὰρthey fearedἐφοβοῦντοhim,αὐτόνforγὰρallπᾶςthe crowdὁ ὄχλοςwas astonishedἐξεπλήσσετοatἐπὶhis teaching.τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ
AndΚαὶwhenὅτανeveningὀψὲcame,ἐγένετοthey went outἐξεπορεύοντοofἔξωthe city.τῆς πόλεως
AndΚαὶpassing byπαραπορευόμενοιin the morning,πρωῒthey sawεἶδονthe fig treeτὴν συκῆνwitheredἐξηραμμένηνfromἐκthe roots.ῥιζῶν
AndκαὶPeter,ὁ Πέτροςremembering,ἀναμνησθεὶςsaysλέγειto him,αὐτῷ“Rabbi,Ῥαββίlook!ἴδεThe fig treeἡ συκῆthatἣνyou cursedκατηράσωhas withered.”ἐξήρανται
AndκαὶJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςanswersἀποκριθεὶς λέγειthem,αὐτοῖς“HaveἜχετεfaithπίστινin God.θεοῦ
TrulyἀμὴνI tellλέγωyouὑμῖνthatὅτιwhoeverὃς ἂνsaysεἴπῃto this mountain,τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ‘Be lifted upἌρθητιandκαὶthrownβλήθητιintoεἰςthe sea,’τὴν θάλασσανandκαὶdoes notμὴdoubtδιακριθῇinἐνhis heart,τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦbutἀλλὰbelievesπιστεύῃthatὅτιwhatὃhe saysλαλεῖis happening,γίνεταιit will beἔσταιdonefor him.αὐτῷ
Thereforeδιὰ τοῦτοI tellλέγωyou,ὑμῖνeverythingπάνταthatὅσαyou prayπροσεύχεσθεandκαὶask for,αἰτεῖσθεbelieveπιστεύετεthatὅτιyou have received it,ἐλάβετεandκαὶit will beἔσταιyours.ὑμῖν
Andκαὶwheneverὅτανyou standστήκετεpraying,προσευχόμενοιforgive,ἀφίετεifεἴyou haveἔχετεanythingτιagainstκατάanyone,τινοςso thatἵναyour Fatherὁ πατὴρ ὑμῶνwho isὁinἐνheavenτοῖς οὐρανοῖςmay alsoκαὶforgiveἀφῇyouὑμῖνyour trespasses.”τὰ παραπτώματα ὑμῶν
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
AndΚαὶthey comeἔρχονταιagainπάλινtoεἰςJerusalem.ἹεροσόλυμαAndκαὶas heαὐτοῦwas walkingπεριπατοῦντοςinἐνthe temple,τῷ ἱερῷthe high priestsοἱ ἀρχιερεῖςandκαὶthe scribesοἱ γραμματεῖςandκαὶthe eldersοἱ πρεσβύτεροιcomeἔρχονταιtoπρὸςhimαὐτὸν
andκαὶthey were sayingἔλεγονto him,αὐτῷ“ByἘνwhatποίᾳauthorityἐξουσίᾳare you doingποιεῖςthese things?ταῦταOrἢwhoτίςgaveἔδωκενyouσοιthisταύτηνauthorityτὴν ἐξουσίανtoἵναdoποιῇςthese things?”ταῦτα
ButδὲJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςsaidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“I will askἘπερωτήσωyouὑμᾶςoneἕναquestion;λόγονandκαὶanswerἀποκρίθητέme,μοιandκαὶI will tellἐρῶyouὑμῖνbyἐνwhatποίᾳauthorityἐξουσίᾳI doποιῶthese things.ταῦτα
The immersionτὸ βάπτισμαof John,τὸ Ἰωάννουwas itἦνfromἐξheavenοὐρανοῦorἢfromἐξpeople?ἀνθρώπωνAnswerἀποκρίθητέme.”μοι
Andκαὶthey were discussing itδιελογίζοντοamongπρὸςthemselves,ἑαυτοὺςsaying,λέγοντες“WhatΤίshall we say?εἴπωμενIfἐὰνwe say,εἴπωμεν‘FromἘξheaven,’οὐρανοῦhe will say,ἐρεῖ‘WhyΔιὰ τίthenοὖνdid you notοὐκbelieveἐπιστεύσατεhim?’αὐτῷ
Butἀλλὰshould we say,εἴπωμεν‘FromἘξpeople’?”ἀνθρώπων—they were afraid ofἐφοβοῦντοthe crowd,τὸν ὄχλονforγὰρallἅπαντεςheldεἶχονthatὅτιJohnτὸν Ἰωάννηνreallyὄντωςwasἦνa prophet.προφήτης
Andκαὶthey answeredἀποκριθέντεςJesusτῷ Ἰησοῦand say,λέγουσιν“We do notΟὐκknow.”οἴδαμενAndκαὶJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςsaysλέγειto them,αὐτοῖς“Neither do IΟὐδὲ ἐγὼtellλέγωyouὑμῖνbyἐνwhatποίᾳauthorityἐξουσίᾳI doποιῶthese things.”ταῦτα
