And YHWHוַ יְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto the sonsאֶל בְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand sayוְאָמַרְתָּto them:אֲלֵהֶםWhenכִּיa manאִישׁorאוֹa womanאִשָּׁהmakes a special vow,יַפְלִא לִנְדֹּרthe vowנֶדֶרof a Nazirite,נָזִירto separate himselfלְהַזִּירto YHWH,לַיהוָה
he shall separate himselfיַזִּירfrom wineמִיַּיִןand intoxicating drink;וְשֵׁכָרhe shall notלֹאdrinkיִשְׁתֶּהvinegarחֹמֶץof wineיַיִןor vinegarוְחֹמֶץof intoxicating drink,שֵׁכָרand he shall notלֹאdrinkיִשְׁתֶּהanyוְכָלjuiceמִשְׁרַתof grapes,עֲנָבִיםnorוַ לֹאeatיֹאכֵלgrapes,עֲנָבִיםfreshלַחִיםor dried.וִיבֵשִׁים
Allכֹּלthe daysיְמֵיof his consecrationנִזְרוֹhe shall notלֹאeatיֹאכֵלanythingמִכֹּלthatאֲשֶׁרis madeיֵעָשֶׂהfrom the vineמִגֶּפֶןof wine,הַיַּיִןfrom seedsמֵחַרְצַנִּיםtoוְעַדskin.זָג
Allכָּלthe daysיְמֵיof his vowנֶדֶרof consecrationנִזְרוֹnoלֹאrazorתַּעַרshall passיַעֲבֹרoverעַלhis head;רֹאשׁוֹuntilעַדthe daysהַיָּמִםare fulfilledמְלֹאתfor whichאֲשֶׁרhe separates himselfיַזִּירto YHWH,לַיהוָהhe shall beיִהְיֶהholy;קָדֹשׁhe shall let growגַּדֵּלlooseפֶּרַעthe hairשְׂעַרof his head.רֹאשׁוֹ
Allכָּלthe daysיְמֵיthat he separates himselfהַזִּירוֹto YHWHלַיהוָהhe shall notלֹאgoיָבֹאnearעַלa deadמֵתperson.נֶפֶשׁ
For his fatherלְאָבִיוor for his mother,וּלְאִמּוֹfor his brotherלְאָחִיוor for his sister,וּלְאַחֹתוֹhe shall notלֹאmake himself uncleanיִטַּמָּאfor themלָהֶםwhen they die,בְּמֹתָםbecauseכִּיthe consecrationנֵזֶרof his Elohimאֱלֹהָיוis onעַלhis head.רֹאשׁוֹ
Allכֹּלthe daysיְמֵיof his consecrationנִזְרוֹheהוּאis holyקָדֹשׁto YHWH.לַיהוָה
And ifוְכִיsomeoneמֵתdiesיָמוּתbeside himעָלָיוvery suddenlyבְּפֶתַע פִּתְאֹםand makes uncleanוְטִמֵּאhis consecratedנִזְרוֹhead,רֹאשׁhe shall shaveוְגִלַּחhis headרֹאשׁוֹon the dayבְּיוֹםof his cleansing;טָהֳרָתוֹon the seventh dayבַּיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִיhe shall shave it.יְגַלְּחֶנּוּ
And on the eighth dayוּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁמִינִיhe shall bringיָבִאtwoשְׁתֵּיturtledovesתֹרִיםorאוֹtwoשְׁנֵיyoung pigeonsבְּנֵי יוֹנָהto the priest,אֶל הַכֹּהֵןto the entranceאֶל פֶּתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meeting.מוֹעֵד
And the priestהַכֹּהֵןshall offerוְעָשָׂהoneאֶחָדas a sin offeringלְחַטָּאתand the otherוְאֶחָדas a burnt offering,לְעֹלָהand make expiationוְכִפֶּרfor him,עָלָיוbecauseמֵאֲשֶׁרhe sinnedחָטָאon account ofעַלthe dead person.הַנָּפֶשׁAnd he shall consecrateוְקִדַּשׁhis headאֶת רֹאשׁוֹthat same day.בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא
And he shall separateוְהִזִּירto YHWHלַיהוָהthe daysאֶת יְמֵיof his consecrationנִזְרוֹand bringוְהֵבִיאa male lambכֶּבֶשׂa year oldבֶּן שְׁנָתוֹas a guilt offering;לְאָשָׁםbut the formerהָרִאשֹׁנִיםdaysוְהַיָּמִיםshall fall away,יִפְּלוּbecauseכִּיhis consecrationנִזְרוֹwas made unclean.טָמֵא
And this isוְזֹאתthe instructionתּוֹרַתfor the Nazirite:הַנָּזִירon the dayבְּיוֹםwhen the daysיְמֵיof his consecrationנִזְרוֹare fulfilled,מְלֹאתhe shall be broughtיָבִיא אֹתוֹto the entranceאֶל פֶּתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵד
and he shall presentוְהִקְרִיבhis offeringאֶת קָרְבָּנוֹto YHWH:לַיהוָהoneאֶחָדmale lambכֶּבֶשׂa year old,בֶּן שְׁנָתוֹwithout defect,תָמִיםas a burnt offering,לְעֹלָהand oneאַחַתewe lambוְכַבְשָׂהa year old,בַּת שְׁנָתָהּwithout defect,תְּמִימָהas a sin offering,לְחַטָּאתand oneאֶחָדramוְאַיִלwithout defectתָּמִיםas a peace offering,לִשְׁלָמִים
and a basketוְסַלof unleavened bread,מַצּוֹתcakesחַלֹּתof fine flourסֹלֶתmixedבְּלוּלֹתwith oil,בַּשֶּׁמֶןand wafersוּרְקִיקֵיof unleavened breadמַצּוֹתsmearedמְשֻׁחִיםwith oil,בַּשָּׁמֶןand their grain offeringוּמִנְחָתָםand their libations.וְנִסְכֵּיהֶם
And the priestהַכֹּהֵןshall present themוְהִקְרִיבbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהand offerוְעָשָׂהhis sin offeringאֶת חַטָּאתוֹand his burnt offering.וְאֶת עֹלָתוֹ
And he shall offerיַעֲשֶׂהthe ramוְאֶת הָאַיִלas a sacrificeזֶבַחof peaceשְׁלָמִיםto YHWH,לַיהוָהwithעַלthe basketסַלof unleavened bread;הַמַּצּוֹתand the priestהַכֹּהֵןshall offerוְעָשָׂהits grain offeringאֶת מִנְחָתוֹand its libation.וְאֶת נִסְכּוֹ
And the Naziriteהַנָּזִירshall shaveוְגִלַּחhis consecratedנִזְרוֹheadאֶת רֹאשׁat the entranceפֶּתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדand takeוְלָקַחthe hairאֶת שְׂעַרof his consecratedנִזְרוֹheadרֹאשׁand put itוְנָתַןonעַלthe fireהָאֵשׁthatאֲשֶׁרis underתַּחַתthe sacrificeזֶבַחof peace.הַשְּׁלָמִים
And the priestהַכֹּהֵןshall takeוְלָקַחthe boiledבְּשֵׁלָהshoulderאֶת הַזְּרֹעַof the ram,מִן הָאַיִלand oneוְ אַחַתunleavenedמַצָּהcakeחַלַּתfrom the basket,מִן הַסַּלand oneוּ אֶחָדunleavenedמַצָּהwafer,רְקִיקand put themוְנָתַןon the palmsעַל כַּפֵּיof the Naziriteהַנָּזִירafterאַחַרhe has shaved offהִתְגַּלְּחוֹhis consecration.אֶת נִזְרוֹ
And the priestהַכֹּהֵןshall waveוְהֵנִיףthemאוֹתָםas a wave offeringתְּנוּפָהbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH;יְהוָהitהוּאis holyקֹדֶשׁfor the priest,לַכֹּהֵןtogether withעַלthe breastחֲזֵהof the wave offeringהַתְּנוּפָהand withוְעַלthe thighשׁוֹקof the contribution.הַתְּרוּמָהAnd afterwardוְאַחַרthe Naziriteהַנָּזִירmay drinkיִשְׁתֶּהwine.יָיִן
This isזֹאתthe instructionתּוֹרַתfor the Naziriteהַנָּזִירwhoאֲשֶׁרvowsיִדֹּרhis offeringקָרְבָּנוֹto YHWHלַיהוָהforעַלhis consecration,נִזְרוֹbesidesמִלְּבַדwhatאֲשֶׁרhis handיָדוֹcan afford;תַּשִּׂיגaccording toכְּפִיhis vowנִדְרוֹthatאֲשֶׁרhe vows,יִדֹּרsoכֵּןhe shall do,יַעֲשֶׂהaccording toעַלthe instructionתּוֹרַתfor his consecration.”נִזְרוֹ
And YHWHוַ יְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto Aaronאֶל אַהֲרֹןand to his sons,וְאֶל בָּנָיוsaying,לֵאמֹר‘Thusכֹּהyou shall blessתְבָרֲכוּthe sonsאֶת בְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלsayingאָמוֹרto them:לָהֶם
May YHWHיְהוָהbless youיְבָרֶכְךָand keep you;וְיִשְׁמְרֶךָ
may YHWHיְהוָהmakeיָאֵרhis faceפָּנָיוshineיָאֵרon youאֵלֶיךָand show you favor;וִיחֻנֶּךָּ
may YHWHיְהוָהlift upיִשָּׂאhis faceפָּנָיוtoward youאֵלֶיךָand giveוְיָשֵׂםyouלְךָpeace.’שָׁלוֹם
Soוְthey shall putשָׂמוּmy nameאֶת שְׁמִיonעַלthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלand Iוַאֲנִיwill bless them.”אֲבָרֲכֵם
