Revelation 21:1–5
John sees a new heaven and a new earth, and God living with people
Study it word by word1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea is no more.
2And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.
3And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look, the tent of God is with humanity, and he will pitch his tent with them, and they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them.
4And he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, nor grief nor crying nor pain will there be any longer; for the first things have passed away.”
5And the one who sits on the throne said, “Look, I am making all things new.” And he says, “Write, because these words are faithful and true.”
