Give thanksהוֹדוּto YHWHלַיהוָהwith the lyre;בְּכִנּוֹרwith a harpבְּנֵבֶלof ten stringsעָשׂוֹרsing psalms to him.זַמְּרוּ לוֹ
Sing to himשִׁירוּ לוֹa newחָדָשׁsong;שִׁירplay skillfullyהֵיטִיבוּ נַגֵּןwith acclamation.בִּתְרוּעָה
Forכִּיuprightיָשָׁרis the wordדְּבַרof YHWH,יְהוָהand allוְכָלhis workמַעֲשֵׂהוּis in faithfulness.בֶּאֱמוּנָה
He lovesאֹהֵבrighteousnessצְדָקָהand justice;וּמִשְׁפָּטof the loyal loveחֶסֶדof YHWHיְהוָהthe earthהָאָרֶץis full.מָלְאָה
By the wordבִּדְבַרof YHWHיְהוָהthe heavensשָׁמַיִםwere made,נַעֲשׂוּand by the breathוּבְרוּחַof his mouthפִּיוallכָּלtheir army.צְבָאָם
He gathersכֹּנֵסlike a heapכַּנֵּדthe watersמֵיof the sea;הַיָּםhe putsנֹתֵןin storehousesבְּאֹצָרוֹתthe deeps.תְּהוֹמוֹת
Let allכָּלthe earthהָאָרֶץfearיִירְאוּYHWH;מֵיְהוָהof himמִמֶּנּוּlet allכָּלthe inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵיof the worldתֵבֵלbe afraid.יָגוּרוּ
Forכִּיheהוּאspoke,אָמַרand it came to be;וַיֶּהִיheהוּאcommanded,צִוָּהand it stood firm.וַיַּעֲמֹד
YHWHיְהוָהhas annulledהֵפִירthe counselעֲצַתof the nations;גּוֹיִםhe has frustratedהֵנִיאthe thoughtsמַחְשְׁבוֹתof the peoples.עַמִּים
The counselעֲצַתof YHWHיְהוָהstands firmתַּעֲמֹדforever,לְעוֹלָםthe thoughtsמַחְשְׁבוֹתof his heartלִבּוֹfrom generation to generation.לְדֹר וָדֹר
Happy isאַשְׁרֵיthe nationהַגּוֹיwhose Elohimאֲשֶׁר אֱלֹהָיוis YHWH,יְהוָהthe peopleהָעָםhe has chosenבָּחַרas an inheritanceלְנַחֲלָהfor himself.לוֹ
From the heavensמִשָּׁמַיִםYHWHיְהוָהlooked;הִבִּיטhe sawרָאָהallאֶת כָּלhuman beings.בְּנֵי הָאָדָם
From the placeמִמְּכוֹןof his dwellingשִׁבְתּוֹhe observedהִשְׁגִּיחַallאֶל כָּלthe inhabitantsיֹשְׁבֵיof the earth,הָאָרֶץ
he who formsהַיֹּצֵרtheir heartלִבָּםall alike,יַחַדwho understandsהַמֵּבִיןallאֶל כָּלtheir works.מַעֲשֵׂיהֶם
The kingהַמֶּלֶךְis notאֵיןsavedנוֹשָׁעby a great army;בְּרָב חָיִלa mighty manגִּבּוֹרis notלֹאdeliveredיִנָּצֵלby great power.בְּרָב כֹּחַ
A lieשֶׁקֶרis the horseהַסּוּסfor salvation,לִתְשׁוּעָהand by its great strengthוּבְרֹב חֵילוֹit does notלֹאlet anyone escape.יְמַלֵּט
Look,הִנֵּהthe eyeעֵיןof YHWHיְהוָהis on those who fear him,אֶל יְרֵאָיוon those who awaitלַמְיַחֲלִיםhis loyal love,לְחַסְדּוֹ
to deliverלְהַצִּילfrom deathמִמָּוֶתtheir soulנַפְשָׁםand to keep them aliveוּלְחַיּוֹתָםin famine.בָּרָעָב
Our soulנַפְשֵׁנוּis waitingחִכְּתָהfor YHWH;לַיהוָהour helpעֶזְרֵנוּand our shieldוּמָגִנֵּנוּis he.הוּא
Forכִּיin himבוֹour heartלִבֵּנוּis glad,יִשְׂמַחforכִּיin his holy nameבְשֵׁם קָדְשׁוֹwe have trusted.בָטָחְנוּ
