I sawרָאִיתִיAdonaiאֲדֹנָיstandingנִצָּבbesideעַלthe altar,הַמִּזְבֵּחַand he said,וַיֹּאמֶר“Strikeהַךְthe capital,הַכַּפְתּוֹרso that the thresholdsוְ הַסִּפִּיםshake,יִרְעֲשׁוּand shatter themוּבְצַעַםon the headבְּרֹאשׁof all of them;כֻּלָּםand the last of themוְאַחֲרִיתָםI will killאֶהֱרֹגwith the sword;בַּחֶרֶבnotלֹאone of themלָהֶםwho fleesנָסwill get away,יָנוּסand notוְלֹאone of themלָהֶםwho escapesפָּלִיטwill be delivered.יִמָּלֵט
Ifאִםthey digיַחְתְּרוּinto Sheol,בִשְׁאוֹלfrom thereמִשָּׁםmy handיָדִיwill take them;תִקָּחֵםand ifוְאִםthey climb upיַעֲלוּto the heavens,הַשָּׁמַיִםfrom thereמִשָּׁםI will bring them down.אוֹרִידֵם
And ifוְאִםthey hideיֵחָבְאוּon the topבְּרֹאשׁof Carmel,הַכַּרְמֶלfrom thereמִשָּׁםI will search outאֲחַפֵּשׂand take them;וּלְקַחְתִּיםand ifוְאִםthey conceal themselvesיִסָּתְרוּfromמִנֶּגֶדmy sightעֵינַיon the floorבְּקַרְקַעof the sea,הַיָּםfrom thereמִשָּׁםI will commandאֲצַוֶּהthe snake,הַנָּחָשׁand it will bite them.וּנְשָׁכָם
And ifוְאִםthey goיֵלְכוּinto captivityבַשְּׁבִיbeforeלִפְנֵיtheir enemies,אֹיבֵיהֶםfrom thereמִשָּׁםI will commandאֲצַוֶּהthe sword,הַחֶרֶבand it will kill them;וַהֲרָגָתַםand I will setוְשַׂמְתִּיmy eyesעֵינִיon themעֲלֵיהֶםfor evilלְרָעָהand notוְלֹאfor good.”לְטוֹבָה
And AdonaiוַאדֹנָיYHWHיְהוִהTsevaotהַצְּבָאוֹתis the one who touchesהַנּוֹגֵעַthe earth,בָּאָרֶץand it melts,וַתָּמוֹגand allכָּלwho liveיוֹשְׁבֵיin itבָהּmourn,וְאָבְלוּand all of itכֻּלָּהּrisesוְעָלְתָהlike the Nile,כַיְאֹרand sinksוְשָׁקְעָהlike the Nileכִּיאֹרof Egypt;מִצְרָיִם
the one who buildsהַבּוֹנֶהin the heavensבַשָּׁמַיִםhis upper chambers,מַעֲלוֹתָיוand has foundedיְסָדָהּhis archוַאֲגֻדָּתוֹonעַלthe earth;אֶרֶץthe one who callsהַקֹּרֵאfor the watersלְמֵיof the seaהַיָּםand pours them outוַיִּשְׁפְּכֵםonעַלthe faceפְּנֵיof the earth:הָאָרֶץYHWHיְהוָהis his name.שְׁמוֹ
Are you notהֲלוֹא אַתֶּםlike the childrenכִבְנֵיof the Cushitesכֻשִׁיִּיםto me,לִיchildrenבְּנֵיof Israel?יִשְׂרָאֵלdeclaresנְאֻםYHWH.יְהוָהDid I notהֲלוֹאbringהֶעֱלֵיתִיIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵלup from the landמֵאֶרֶץof Egypt,מִצְרַיִםand the Philistinesוּפְלִשְׁתִּיִּיםfrom Caphtor,מִכַּפְתּוֹרand Aramוַאֲרָםfrom Kir?מִקִּיר
Look,הִנֵּהthe eyesעֵינֵיof AdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWHיְהוִהare on the sinfulבַּ הַחַטָּאָהkingdom,מַּמְלָכָהand I will destroyוְהִשְׁמַדְתִּיitאֹתָהּfromמֵעַלthe faceפְּנֵיof the ground;הָאֲדָמָהexceptאֶפֶסthatכִּיI will notלֹאutterlyהַשְׁמֵידdestroyאַשְׁמִידthe houseבֵּיתof Jacob,יַעֲקֹבdeclaresנְאֻםYHWH.יְהוָה
Forכִּיlook,הִנֵּהIאָנֹכִיam commanding,מְצַוֶּהand I will shakeוַהֲנִעוֹתִיthe houseבֵּיתof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלamong allבְכָלthe nations,הַגּוֹיִםasכַּאֲשֶׁרgrain is shakenיִנּוֹעַin a sieve,בַּכְּבָרָהand notוְלֹאa pebbleצְרוֹרfallsיִפּוֹלto the ground.אָרֶץ
By the swordבַּחֶרֶבallכֹּלthe sinnersחַטָּאֵיof my peopleעַמִּיwill die,יָמוּתוּwho say,הָאֹמְרִים“The evilהָרָעָהwill notלֹאcome nearתַגִּישׁor confrontוְתַקְדִּיםus.”בַּעֲדֵינוּ
On that dayבַּיּוֹם הַהוּאI will raise upאָקִיםthe fallenהַנֹּפֶלֶתboothסֻכַּתof David,דָּוִידand wall upוְגָדַרְתִּיtheir breaches,פִּרְצֵיהֶןand raise upאָקִיםits ruins,וַהֲרִסֹתָיוand rebuild itוּבְנִיתִיהָas in the daysכִּימֵיof old;עוֹלָם
so thatלְמַעַןthey may possessיִירְשׁוּthe remnantשְׁאֵרִיתof Edomאֱדוֹםand allוְכָלthe nationsהַגּוֹיִםover whomאֲשֶׁר עֲלֵיהֶםmy nameשְׁמִיis called,נִקְרָאdeclaresנְאֻםYHWH,יְהוָהwho doesעֹשֶׂהthis.זֹּאת
Look,הִנֵּהdaysיָמִיםare coming,בָּאִיםdeclaresנְאֻםYHWH,יְהוָהwhen the plowmanוְ חוֹרֵשׁwill overtakeנִגַּשׁthe reaper,בַּקֹּצֵרand the one who treadsוְדֹרֵךְgrapesעֲנָבִיםthe one who scattersבְּמֹשֵׁךְthe seed;הַזָּרַעand the mountainsוְ הֶהָרִיםwill dripהִטִּיפוּsweet wine,עָסִיסand allוְכָלthe hillsהַגְּבָעוֹתwill melt.תִּתְמוֹגַגְנָה
And I will turn backוְשַׁבְתִּיthe captivityשְׁבוּתof my peopleעַמִּיIsrael,יִשְׂרָאֵלand they will buildוּבָנוּthe desolateנְשַׁמּוֹתcitiesעָרִיםand live in them;וְיָשָׁבוּand they will plantוְנָטְעוּvineyardsכְרָמִיםand drinkוְשָׁתוּtheir wine;יֵינָםand they will makeוְעָשׂוּgardensגַנּוֹתand eatוְאָכְלוּtheir fruit.פְּרִיהֶם
And I will plant themוּנְטַעְתִּיםonעַלtheir ground,אַדְמָתָםand they will noוְלֹאlongerעוֹדbe uprootedיִנָּתְשׁוּfromמֵעַלtheir groundאַדְמָתָםthatאֲשֶׁרI have givenנָתַתִּיthem,לָהֶםsaysאָמַרYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֶיךָ
