YHWHיְהוָהsaidוַיֹּאמֶרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁה“OneאֶחָדmoreעוֹדplagueנֶגַעI will bringאָבִיאon Pharaohעַל פַּרְעֹהand on Egypt;וְעַל מִצְרַיִםafterאַחֲרֵיthatכֵןhe will let you goיְשַׁלַּח אֶתְכֶםfrom here.מִזֶּהWhen he lets you go,כְּשַׁלְּחוֹhe will drive you outגָּרֵשׁ יְגָרֵשׁ אֶתְכֶםfrom hereמִזֶּהcompletely.כָּלָה
Speakדַּבֶּרnowנָאin the hearingבְּאָזְנֵיof the people,הָעָםand let them ask,וְיִשְׁאֲלוּeach manאִישׁfromמֵאֵתhis neighborרֵעֵהוּandוְeach womanאִשָּׁהfromמֵאֵתher neighbor,רְעוּתָהּarticlesכְּלֵיof silverכֶסֶףand articlesוּכְלֵיof gold.”זָהָב
YHWHיְהוָהgaveוַיִּתֵּןthe peopleהָעָםfavorאֶת חֵןin the eyesבְּעֵינֵיof the Egyptians.מִצְרָיִםMoreover,גַּםthe manהָאִישׁMosesמֹשֶׁהwas veryמְאֹדgreatגָּדוֹלin the landבְּאֶרֶץof Egypt,מִצְרַיִםin the eyesבְּעֵינֵיof Pharaoh’sפַרְעֹהservantsעַבְדֵיand in the eyesוּבְעֵינֵיof the people.הָעָם
Mosesמֹשֶׁהsaid,וַיֹּאמֶר“Thus saysכֹּה אָמַרYHWH:יְהוָה‘Aboutכַּmidnightחֲצֹת הַלַּיְלָהIאֲנִיwill go outיוֹצֵאthrough the midstבְּתוֹךְof Egypt,מִצְרָיִם
and everyוּ כָּלfirstbornבְּכוֹרin the landבְּאֶרֶץof Egyptמִצְרַיִםwill die,מֵתfrom the firstbornמִבְּכוֹרof Pharaohפַּרְעֹהwho sitsהַיֹּשֵׁבon his throneעַל כִּסְאוֹtoעַדthe firstbornבְּכוֹרof the slave womanהַשִּׁפְחָהwhoאֲשֶׁרis behindאַחַרthe millstones,הָרֵחָיִםand everyוְכֹלfirstbornבְּכוֹרof the livestock.בְּהֵמָה
There will beוְהָיְתָהa greatגְדֹלָהoutcryצְעָקָהin allבְּכָלthe landאֶרֶץof Egypt,מִצְרָיִםsuch asאֲשֶׁר כָּמֹהוּthere has never beenלֹא נִהְיָתָהandוְsuch asכָמֹהוּthere will never beלֹאagain.תֹסִף
But against anyוּלְכֹלof the sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלnotלֹאa dogכֶּלֶבwill so much as moveיֶחֱרַץits tongue,לְשֹׁנוֹagainstלְeither manמֵאִישׁorוְעַדbeast,בְּהֵמָהso thatלְמַעַןyou may knowתֵּדְעוּןthatאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהmakes a distinctionיַפְלֶהbetweenבֵּיןEgyptמִצְרַיִםandוּבֵיןIsrael.’יִשְׂרָאֵל
Then allוְ כָלtheseאֵלֶּהservants of yoursעֲבָדֶיךָwill come downיָרְדוּto meאֵלַיand bow downוְהִשְׁתַּחֲוּוּto me,לִיsaying,לֵאמֹר‘Go out,צֵאyouאַתָּהand allוְכָלthe peopleהָעָםwhoאֲשֶׁרfollow you!’בְּרַגְלֶיךָAnd afterוְאַחֲרֵיthatכֵןI will go out.”אֵצֵאAnd he went outוַיֵּצֵאfromמֵעִםPharaohפַּרְעֹהin hotבָּחֳרִיanger.אָף
YHWHיְהוָהsaidוַיֹּאמֶרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁה“Pharaohפַּרְעֹהwill notלֹאlistenיִשְׁמַעto you,אֲלֵיכֶםso thatלְמַעַןmy wondersמוֹפְתַיmay be multipliedרְבוֹתin the landבְּאֶרֶץof Egypt.”מִצְרָיִם
Mosesוּמֹשֶׁהand Aaronוְאַהֲרֹןdidעָשׂוּallאֶת כָּלtheseהָאֵלֶּהwondersהַמֹּפְתִיםbeforeלִפְנֵיPharaoh,פַרְעֹהbut YHWHוַ יְהוָהmadeיְחַזֵּקPharaoh’sפַּרְעֹהheartאֶת לֵבobstinate,יְחַזֵּקand he did notוְלֹאletשִׁלַּחthe sonsאֶת בְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלgoשִׁלַּחout of his land.מֵאַרְצוֹ
