YHWHיְהוָהsaidוַיֹּאמֶרtoאֶלMoses,מֹשֶׁה“Nowעַתָּהyou will seeתִרְאֶהwhatאֲשֶׁרI will doאֶעֱשֶׂהto Pharaoh;לְפַרְעֹהforכִּיwith a strongבְ חֲזָקָהhandיָדhe will let them go,יְשַׁלְּחֵםand with a strongוּבְ חֲזָקָהhandיָדhe will drive them outיְגָרְשֵׁםof his land.”מֵאַרְצוֹ
ElohimאֱלֹהִיםspokeוַיְדַבֵּרtoאֶלMosesמֹשֶׁהand saidוַיֹּאמֶרto him,אֵלָיו“Iאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
I appearedוָאֵרָאtoאֶלAbraham,אַבְרָהָםtoאֶלIsaac,יִצְחָקand toוְאֶלJacobיַעֲקֹבasבְּElאֵלShaddai,שַׁדָּיbut by my name,וּשְׁמִיYHWH,יְהוָהI did notלֹאmake myself knownנוֹדַעְתִּיto them.לָהֶם
I alsoוְגַםestablishedהֲקִמֹתִיmy covenantאֶת בְּרִיתִיwith themאִתָּםto giveלָתֵתthemלָהֶםthe landאֶת אֶרֶץof Canaan,כְּנָעַןthe landאֵת אֶרֶץof their residence as aliens,מְגֻרֵיהֶםin whichאֲשֶׁר בָהּthey resided as aliens.גָּרוּ
And Iוְ אֲנִיhave alsoגַםheardשָׁמַעְתִּיthe groaningאֶת נַאֲקַתof the sonsבְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלwhomאֲשֶׁרthe Egyptiansמִצְרַיִםare enslaving,מַעֲבִדִים אֹתָםand I have rememberedוָאֶזְכֹּרmy covenant.אֶת בְּרִיתִי
Thereforeלָכֵןsayאֱמֹרto the sonsלִבְנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵל‘Iאֲנִיam YHWH,יְהוָהand I will bringוְהוֹצֵאתִיyouאֶתְכֶםout fromמִunderתַּחַתthe burdensסִבְלֹתof Egypt,מִצְרַיִםI will rescueוְהִצַּלְתִּיyouאֶתְכֶםfromמֵtheir bondage,עֲבֹדָתָםand I will redeemוְגָאַלְתִּיyouאֶתְכֶםwith an outstretchedבִּ נְטוּיָהarmזְרוֹעַand with greatוּבִ גְּדֹלִיםjudgments.שְׁפָטִים
I will takeוְלָקַחְתִּיyouאֶתְכֶםfor myselfלִיas a people,לְעָםand I will beוְהָיִיתִיyourלָכֶםElohim;לֵאלֹהִיםand you will knowוִידַעְתֶּםthatכִּיIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim,אֱלֹהֵיכֶםwho bringsהַמּוֹצִיאyouאֶתְכֶםout fromמִunderתַּחַתthe burdensסִבְלוֹתof Egypt.מִצְרָיִם
I will bringוְהֵבֵאתִיyouאֶתְכֶםtoאֶלthe landהָאָרֶץwhichאֲשֶׁרI raisedנָשָׂאתִיmy handאֶת יָדִיswearing to giveלָתֵתitאֹתָהּto Abraham,לְאַבְרָהָםto Isaac,לְיִצְחָקand to Jacob;וּלְיַעֲקֹבand I will giveוְנָתַתִּיitאֹתָהּto youלָכֶםas a possession.מוֹרָשָׁהIאֲנִיam YHWH.’”יְהוָה
Mosesמֹשֶׁהspokeוַיְדַבֵּרthis wayכֵּןtoאֶלthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלbut they did notוְלֹאlistenשָׁמְעוּtoאֶלMosesמֹשֶׁהbecause ofמִtheir discouragementקֹּצֶר רוּחַand because ofוּמֵhardקָשָׁהbondage.עֲבֹדָה
YHWHיְהוָהspokeוַיְדַבֵּרtoאֶלMoses,מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Go in,בֹּאspeakדַבֵּרtoאֶלPharaoh,פַּרְעֹהkingמֶלֶךְof Egypt,מִצְרָיִםthat he letוִישַׁלַּחthe sonsאֶת בְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלgo out ofישַׁלַּחhis land.”מֵאַרְצוֹ
But Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהspokeיְדַבֵּרbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH,יְהוָהsaying,לֵאמֹר“Look,הֵןthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלhave notלֹאlistenedשָׁמְעוּto me;אֵלַיhowוְאֵיךְthen will Pharaohפַרְעֹהlisten to me,יִשְׁמָעֵנִיsince Iוַאֲנִיam slowעֲרַלof lips?”שְׂפָתָיִם
Then YHWHוַ יְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרtoאֶלMosesמֹשֶׁהand toוְאֶלAaronאַהֲרֹןand gave them a chargeוַיְצַוֵּםconcerningאֶלthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand concerningוְאֶלPharaoh,פַּרְעֹהkingמֶלֶךְof Egypt,מִצְרָיִםto bringלְהוֹצִיאthe sonsאֶת בְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלout ofמֵthe landאֶרֶץof Egypt.מִצְרָיִם
Theseאֵלֶּהare the headsרָאשֵׁיof their fathers’אֲבֹתָםhouses:בֵיתthe sonsבְּנֵיof Reuben,רְאוּבֵןthe firstbornבְּכֹרof Israel:יִשְׂרָאֵלEnochחֲנוֹךְand Pallu,וּפַלּוּאHezronחֶצְרוֹןand Carmi;וְכַרְמִיtheseאֵלֶּהare the familiesמִשְׁפְּחֹתof Reuben.רְאוּבֵן
The sonsוּבְנֵיof Simeon:שִׁמְעוֹןJemuel,יְמוּאֵלJamin,וְיָמִיןOhad,וְאֹהַדJachin,וְיָכִיןZohar,וְצֹחַרand Saul,וְשָׁאוּלthe sonבֶּןof the Canaanite woman;הַכְּנַעֲנִיתtheseאֵלֶּהare the familiesמִשְׁפְּחֹתof Simeon.שִׁמְעוֹן
