In the twenty-fifth yearבְּעֶשְׂרִים וְחָמֵשׁ שָׁנָהof our exile,לְגָלוּתֵנוּat the beginningבְּרֹאשׁof the year,הַשָּׁנָהon the tenthבֶּעָשׂוֹרof the month,לַחֹדֶשׁin the fourteenth yearבְּאַרְבַּע עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָהafterאַחַר אֲשֶׁרthe cityהָעִירwas struck,הֻכְּתָהon this very dayבְּעֶצֶם הַיּוֹם הַזֶּהthe handיַדof YHWHיְהוָהwasהָיְתָהupon me,עָלַיand he broughtוַיָּבֵאmeאֹתִיthere.שָׁמָּה
In visionsבְּמַרְאוֹתof Elohimאֱלֹהִיםhe brought meהֱבִיאַנִיto the landאֶל אֶרֶץof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלand set me downוַיְנִיחֵנִיon a mountainאֶל הַרvery high,גָּבֹהַּ מְאֹדand on itוְעָלָיוwas something like the structureכְּמִבְנֵהof a cityעִירto the south.מִנֶּגֶב
And he broughtוַיָּבֵיאmeאוֹתִיthere,שָׁמָּהand look,וְהִנֵּהa manאִישׁwhose appearanceמַרְאֵהוּwas like the appearanceכְּמַרְאֵהof bronze,נְחֹשֶׁתwith a linen cordוּפְתִיל פִּשְׁתִּיםin his handבְּיָדוֹand the measuring reed;וּקְנֵה הַמִּדָּהand heוְהוּאwas standingעֹמֵדin the gate.בַּשָּׁעַר
And the manוַ הָאִישׁspokeיְדַבֵּרto me,אֵלַי“Sonבֶּןof man,אָדָםseeרְאֵהwith your eyes,בְעֵינֶיךָand with your earsוּבְאָזְנֶיךָhear,שְּׁמָעand setוְשִׂיםyour heartלִבְּךָon allלְכֹלthatאֲשֶׁרIאֲנִיam showingמַרְאֶהyou,אוֹתָךְforכִּיin order to show it to youלְמַעַן הַרְאוֹתְכָהyou have been broughtהֻבָאתָהhere.הֵנָּהDeclareהַגֵּדallכָּלthatאֲשֶׁרyouאַתָּהseeרֹאֶהto the houseלְבֵיתof Israel.”יִשְׂרָאֵל
And look,וְהִנֵּהa wallחוֹמָהoutsideמִחוּץthe houseלַבַּיִתall around,סָבִיב סָבִיבand in the handוּבְיַדof the manהָאִישׁthe measuring reedקְנֵה הַמִּדָּהof sixשֵׁשׁcubits,אַמּוֹתeach a cubitבָּאַמָּהand a handbreadth;וָטֹפַחand he measuredוַיָּמָדthe widthרֹחַבof the structure,הַבִּנְיָןoneאֶחָדreed,קָנֶהand the height,וְקוֹמָהoneאֶחָדreed.קָנֶה
And he cameוַיָּבוֹאto the gateאֶל שַׁעַרthatאֲשֶׁרfacedפָּנָיוtoward the east,דֶּרֶךְ הַקָּדִימָהand went upוַיַּעַלits steps,בְּמַעֲלוֹתָיוand measuredוַיָּמָדthe thresholdסַףof the gate,הַשַּׁעַרoneאֶחָדreedקָנֶהwide,רֹחַבand the otherוְ אֶחָדthreshold,סַףoneאֶחָדreedקָנֶהwide.רֹחַב
And the guardroom,וְהַתָּאoneאֶחָדreedקָנֶהlongאֹרֶךְand oneוְ אֶחָדreedקָנֶהwide;רֹחַבand betweenוּבֵיןthe guardrooms,הַתָּאִיםfiveחָמֵשׁcubits;אַמּוֹתand the thresholdוְסַףof the gateהַשַּׁעַרbesideמֵאֵצֶלthe porticoאוּלָםof the gateהַשַּׁעַרon the house side,מֵהַבַּיִתoneאֶחָדreed.קָנֶה
And he measuredוַיָּמָדthe porticoאֻלָםof the gateהַשַּׁעַרon the house side,מֵהַבַּיִתoneאֶחָדreed.קָנֶה
And he measuredוַיָּמָדthe porticoאֻלָםof the gate,הַשַּׁעַרeightשְׁמֹנֶהcubits,אַמּוֹתand its pilasters,וְאֵילָיוtwoשְׁתַּיִםcubits;אַמּוֹתand the porticoוְאֻלָםof the gateהַשַּׁעַרwas on the house side.מֵהַבָּיִת
And the guardroomsוְתָאֵיof the gateהַשַּׁעַרtoward the east,דֶּרֶךְ הַקָּדִיםthreeשְׁלֹשָׁהon this sideמִפֹּהand threeוּשְׁלֹשָׁהon that side,מִפֹּהoneאַחַתmeasureמִדָּהfor the three of them,לִשְׁלָשְׁתָּםand oneוּ אַחַתmeasureמִדָּהfor the pilastersלָאֵילִםon this sideמִפֹּהand on that side.וּמִפּוֹ
And he measuredוַיָּמָדthe widthרֹחַבof the entranceפֶּתַחof the gate,הַשַּׁעַרtenעֶשֶׂרcubits;אַמּוֹתthe lengthאֹרֶךְof the gate,הַשַּׁעַרthirteenשְׁלוֹשׁ עֶשְׂרֵהcubits.אַמּוֹת
And a borderוּגְבוּלin front ofלִפְנֵיthe guardrooms,הַתָּאוֹתoneאֶחָתcubit,אַמָּהand oneוְ אַחַתcubitאַמָּהwas the borderגְּבוּלon that side;מִפֹּהand the guardroomוְהַתָּאwas sixשֵׁשׁcubitsאַמּוֹתon this sideמִפּוֹand sixוְשֵׁשׁcubitsאַמּוֹתon that side.מִפּוֹ
And he measuredוַיָּמָדthe gateהַשַּׁעַרfrom the roofמִגַּגof one guardroomהַתָּאto its roof,לְגַגּוֹa widthרֹחַבof twenty-fiveעֶשְׂרִים וְחָמֵשׁcubits,אַמּוֹתentranceפֶּתַחoppositeנֶגֶדentrance.פָּתַח
And he madeוַיַּעַשׂpilastersאֵילִיםsixtyשִׁשִּׁיםcubits;אַמָּהand toוְאֶלthe pilasterאֵילof the court,הֶחָצֵרthe gateהַשַּׁעַרall around.סָבִיב סָבִיב
And fromוְעַלthe frontפְּנֵיof the gateהַשַּׁעַרof entranceהָאִיתוֹןtoעַל לִthe frontפְנֵיof the porticoאֻלָםof the innerהַפְּנִימִיgate,הַשַּׁעַרfiftyחֲמִשִּׁיםcubits.אַמָּה
And there were closedוְ אֲטֻמוֹתwindowsחַלֹּנוֹתtoward the guardroomsאֶל הַתָּאִיםand towardוְאֶלtheir pilastersאֵלֵיהֵמָהinsideלִפְנִימָהthe gateלַשַּׁעַרall around,סָבִיב סָבִיבand likewiseוְכֵןfor the porticoes;לָאֵלַמּוֹתand windowsוְחַלּוֹנוֹתall around,סָבִיב סָבִיבinside;לִפְנִימָהand onוְאֶלeach pilasterאַיִלwere palm trees.תִּמֹרִים
And he brought meוַיְבִיאֵנִיinto the outer court,אֶל הֶחָצֵר הַחִיצוֹנָהand look,וְהִנֵּהchambersלְשָׁכוֹתand a pavementוְרִצְפָהmadeעָשׂוּיfor the courtלֶחָצֵרall around;סָבִיב סָבִיבthirtyשְׁלֹשִׁיםchambersלְשָׁכוֹתonאֶלthe pavement.הָרִצְפָה
And the pavementוְהָרִצְפָהwas besideאֶלthe sideכֶּתֶףof the gates,הַשְּׁעָרִיםcorresponding toלְעֻמַּתthe lengthאֹרֶךְof the gates,הַשְּׁעָרִיםthe lowerהַתַּחְתּוֹנָהpavement.הָרִצְפָה
And he measuredוַיָּמָדthe widthרֹחַבfromמִthe frontלִּפְנֵיof the lowerהַתַּחְתּוֹנָהgateהַשַּׁעַרto the frontלִפְנֵיof the innerהַפְּנִימִיcourtהֶחָצֵרoutside,מִחוּץa hundredמֵאָהcubits,אַמָּהon the eastהַקָּדִיםand the north.וְהַצָּפוֹן
And the gateוְהַשַּׁעַרthatאֲשֶׁרfacedפָּנָיוtoward the north,דֶּרֶךְ הַצָּפוֹןbelonging to the outer court,לֶחָצֵר הַחִיצוֹנָהhe measuredמָדַדits lengthאָרְכּוֹand its width.וְרָחְבּוֹ
And its guardrooms,וְתָאָיוthreeשְׁלוֹשָׁהon this sideמִפּוֹand threeוּשְׁלֹשָׁהon that side,מִפּוֹand its pilastersוְאֵילָיוand its porticoesוְאֵלַמָּיוwereהָיָהaccording to the measureכְּמִדַּתof the firstהָרִאשׁוֹןgate;הַשַּׁעַרfiftyחֲמִשִּׁיםcubitsאַמָּהits length,אָרְכּוֹand the widthוְרֹחַבtwenty-fiveחָמֵשׁ וְעֶשְׂרִיםcubits.בָּאַמָּה
And its windowsוְחַלּוֹנָיוand its porticoesוְאֵלַמָּיוand its palm treesוְתִמֹרָיוwere according to the measureכְּמִדַּתof the gateהַשַּׁעַרthatאֲשֶׁרfacedפָּנָיוtoward the east;דֶּרֶךְ הַקָּדִיםand by sevenוּבְ שֶׁבַעstepsמַעֲלוֹתthey went upיַעֲלוּto it,בוֹand its porticoesוְאֵילַמָּיוwere in front of them.לִפְנֵיהֶם
And there was a gateוְשַׁעַרto the inner courtלֶחָצֵר הַפְּנִימִיoppositeנֶגֶדthe gateהַשַּׁעַרto the northלַצָּפוֹןand to the east;וְלַקָּדִיםand he measuredוַיָּמָדfrom gateמִשַּׁעַרto gate,אֶל שַׁעַרa hundredמֵאָהcubits.אַמָּה
And he led meוַיּוֹלִכֵנִיtoward the south,דֶּרֶךְ הַדָּרוֹםand look,וְהִנֵּהa gateשַׁעַרtoward the south;דֶּרֶךְ הַדָּרוֹםand he measuredוּמָדַדits pilastersאֵילָיוand its porticoesוְאֵילַמָּיוaccording to these measures.כַּמִּדּוֹת הָאֵלֶּה
And there were windowsוְחַלּוֹנִיםin itלוֹand in its porticoesוּלְאֵילַמָּיוall around,סָבִיב סָבִיבlike these windows;כְּהַחֲלֹּנוֹת הָאֵלֶּהthe length,אֹרֶךְfiftyחֲמִשִּׁיםcubits,אַמָּהand the width,וְרֹחַבtwenty-fiveחָמֵשׁ וְעֶשְׂרִיםcubits.אַמָּה
And sevenוּ שִׁבְעָהstepsמַעֲלוֹתwere its ascent,עֹלוֹתָיוand its porticoesוְאֵלַמָּיוwere in front of them;לִפְנֵיהֶםand it had palm trees,וְתִמֹרִים לוֹoneאֶחָדon this sideמִפּוֹand oneוְאֶחָדon that side,מִפּוֹon its pilasters.אֶל אֵילָיו
And there was a gateוְשַׁעַרto the inner courtלֶחָצֵר הַפְּנִימִיtoward the south;דֶּרֶךְ הַדָּרוֹםand he measuredוַיָּמָדfrom gateמִשַּׁעַרto gateאֶל הַשַּׁעַרtoward the south,דֶּרֶךְ הַדָּרוֹםa hundredמֵאָהcubits.אַמּוֹת
And he brought meוַיְבִיאֵנִיto the inner courtאֶל חָצֵר הַפְּנִימִיby the south gate,בְּשַׁעַר הַדָּרוֹםand he measuredוַיָּמָדthe south gateהַשַּׁעַר הַדָּרוֹםaccording to these measures.כַּמִּדּוֹת הָאֵלֶּה
And its guardroomsוְתָאָיוand its pilastersוְאֵילָיוand its porticoesוְאֵלַמָּיוwere according to these measures;כַּמִּדּוֹת הָאֵלֶּהand there were windowsוְחַלּוֹנוֹתin itלוֹand in its porticoesוּלְאֵלַמָּיוall around;סָבִיב סָבִיבthe length,אֹרֶךְfiftyחֲמִשִּׁיםcubits,אַמָּהand the width,וְרֹחַבtwenty-fiveעֶשְׂרִים וְחָמֵשׁcubits.אַמּוֹת
And there were porticoesוְאֵלַמּוֹתall around,סָבִיב סָבִיבthe length,אֹרֶךְtwenty-fiveחָמֵשׁ וְעֶשְׂרִיםcubits,אַמָּהand the width,וְרֹחַבfiveחָמֵשׁcubits.אַמּוֹת
And its porticoesוְאֵלַמָּוfaced the outer court,אֶל חָצֵר הַחִצוֹנָהand palm treesוְתִמֹרִיםwere on its pilasters,אֶל אֵילָיוand eightוּ שְׁמוֹנֶהstepsמַעֲלוֹתwere its ascent.מַעֲלָיו
And he brought meוַיְבִיאֵנִיinto the inner courtאֶל הֶחָצֵר הַפְּנִימִיtoward the east,דֶּרֶךְ הַקָּדִיםand he measuredוַיָּמָדthe gateהַשַּׁעַרaccording to these measures.כַּמִּדּוֹת הָאֵלֶּה
And its guardroomsוְתָאָיוand its pilastersוְאֵלָיוand its porticoesוְאֵלַמָּיוwere according to these measures;כַּמִּדּוֹת הָאֵלֶּהand there were windowsוְחַלּוֹנוֹתin itלוֹand in its porticoesוּלְאֵלַמָּיוall around;סָבִיב סָבִיבthe length,אֹרֶךְfiftyחֲמִשִּׁיםcubits,אַמָּהand the width,וְרֹחַבtwenty-fiveחָמֵשׁ וְעֶשְׂרִיםcubits.אַמָּה

And he brought meוַיְבִיאֵנִיto the north gate,אֶל שַׁעַר הַצָּפוֹןand he measuredוּמָדַדaccording to these measures:כַּמִּדּוֹת הָאֵלֶּה
its guardrooms,תָּאָיוits pilasters,אֵלָיוand its porticoes;וְאֵלַמָּיוand it had windowsוְחַלּוֹנוֹת לוֹall around;סָבִיב סָבִיבthe length,אֹרֶךְfiftyחֲמִשִּׁיםcubits,אַמָּהand the width,וְרֹחַבtwenty-fiveחָמֵשׁ וְעֶשְׂרִיםcubits.אַמָּה
And its pilastersוְאֵילָיוfaced the outer court,לֶחָצֵר הַחִיצוֹנָהand palm treesוְתִמֹרִיםwere on its pilasters,אֶל אֵילָיוon this sideמִפּוֹand on that side,וּמִפּוֹand eightוּשְׁמֹנֶהstepsמַעֲלוֹתwere its ascent.מַעֲלָיו
And there was a chamberוְלִשְׁכָּהwith its entranceוּפִתְחָהּby the pilastersבְּאֵילִיםof the gates;הַשְּׁעָרִיםthereשָׁםthey would washיָדִיחוּthe burnt offering.הָעֹלָה
And in the porticoוּבְאֻלָםof the gateהַשַּׁעַרwere twoשְׁנַיִםtablesשֻׁלְחָנוֹתon this sideמִפּוֹand twoוּשְׁנַיִםtablesשֻׁלְחָנוֹתon that side,מִפֹּהto slaughterלִשְׁחוֹטon themאֲלֵיהֶםthe burnt offeringהָעוֹלָהand the sin offeringוְהַחַטָּאתand the guilt offering.וְהָאָשָׁם
And onוְאֶלthe side,הַכָּתֵףoutside,מִחוּצָהas one goes upלָעוֹלֶהto the entranceלְפֶתַחof the north gate,הַשַּׁעַר הַצָּפוֹנָהwere twoשְׁנַיִםtables;שֻׁלְחָנוֹתand onוְאֶלthe otherהָאַחֶרֶתsideהַכָּתֵףthatאֲשֶׁרbelonged to the porticoלְאֻלָםof the gate,הַשַּׁעַרtwoשְׁנַיִםtables.שֻׁלְחָנוֹת
Fourאַרְבָּעָהtablesשֻׁלְחָנוֹתon this sideמִפֹּהand fourוְאַרְבָּעָהtablesשֻׁלְחָנוֹתon that side,מִפֹּהby the sideלְכֶתֶףof the gate,הַשָּׁעַרeightשְׁמוֹנָהtables,שֻׁלְחָנוֹתon whichאֲלֵיהֶםthey would slaughter.יִשְׁחָטוּ
And fourוְאַרְבָּעָהtablesשֻׁלְחָנוֹתfor the burnt offering,לָעוֹלָהof hewn stone,אַבְנֵי גָזִיתthe length,אֹרֶךְa cubitאַמָּה אַחַתand a half,וָחֵצִיand the width,וְרֹחַבa cubitאַמָּה אַחַתand a half,וָחֵצִיand the height,וְגֹבַהּoneאֶחָתcubit;אַמָּהon themאֲלֵיהֶםthey would setוְיַנִּיחוּthe utensilsהַכֵּלִיםwith whichאֲשֶׁר בָּםthey would slaughterיִשְׁחֲטוּthe burnt offeringהָעוֹלָהand the sacrifice.וְהַזָּבַח
And the hooks,וְהַשְׁפַתַּיִםoneאֶחָדhandbreadth long,טֹפַחwere fixedמוּכָנִיםin the houseבַּבַּיִתall around;סָבִיב סָבִיבand onוְאֶלthe tablesהַשֻּׁלְחָנוֹתwas the fleshבְּשַׂרof the offering.הַקָּרְבָן
And outsideוּמִחוּצָהthe innerהַפְּנִימִיgateלַשַּׁעַרwere chambersלִשְׁכוֹתfor the singersשָׁרִיםin the inner court,בֶּחָצֵר הַפְּנִימִיwhichאֲשֶׁרwas besideאֶלthe sideכֶּתֶףof the northהַצָּפוֹןgate,שַׁעַרwith their frontוּפְנֵיהֶםtoward the south,דֶּרֶךְ הַדָּרוֹםoneאֶחָדbesideאֶלthe sideכֶּתֶףof the eastהַקָּדִיםgate,שַׁעַרfacingפְּנֵיtoward the north.דֶּרֶךְ הַצָּפֹן
And he spokeוַיְדַבֵּרto me,אֵלָי“Thisזֹהis the chamberהַלִּשְׁכָּהthatאֲשֶׁרfacesפָּנֶיהָtoward the south,דֶּרֶךְ הַדָּרוֹםfor the priestsלַכֹּהֲנִיםwho keepשֹׁמְרֵיthe chargeמִשְׁמֶרֶתof the house;הַבָּיִת
and the chamberוְהַלִּשְׁכָּהthatאֲשֶׁרfacesפָּנֶיהָtoward the northדֶּרֶךְ הַצָּפוֹןis for the priestsלַכֹּהֲנִיםwho keepשֹׁמְרֵיthe chargeמִשְׁמֶרֶתof the altar.הַמִּזְבֵּחַTheseהֵמָּהare the sonsבְנֵיof Zadok,צָדוֹקwho come nearהַקְּרֵבִיםfrom among the sonsמִבְּנֵיof Leviלֵוִיto YHWHאֶל יְהוָהto minister to him.”לְשָׁרְתוֹ
And he measuredוַיָּמָדthe court,הֶחָצֵרthe length,אֹרֶךְa hundredמֵאָהcubits,אַמָּהand the width,וְרֹחַבa hundredמֵאָהcubits,אַמָּהsquare;מְרֻבָּעַתand the altarוְהַמִּזְבֵּחַwas in front ofלִפְנֵיthe house.הַבָּיִת
And he brought meוַיְבִאֵנִיto the porticoאֶל אֻלָםof the house,הַבַּיִתand measuredוַיָּמָדthe pilasterאֵלof the portico,אֻלָםfiveחָמֵשׁcubitsאַמּוֹתon this sideמִפֹּהand fiveוְחָמֵשׁcubitsאַמּוֹתon that side;מִפֹּהand the widthוְרֹחַבof the gate,הַשַּׁעַרthreeשָׁלֹשׁcubitsאַמּוֹתon this sideמִפּוֹand threeוְשָׁלֹשׁcubitsאַמּוֹתon that side.מִפּוֹ
The lengthאֹרֶךְof the portico,הָאֻלָםtwentyעֶשְׂרִיםcubits,אַמָּהand the width,וְרֹחַבelevenעַשְׁתֵּי עֶשְׂרֵהcubits;אַמָּהand by the stepsוּבַמַּעֲלוֹתby whichאֲשֶׁרthey went upיַעֲלוּto it;אֵלָיוand there were pillarsוְעַמֻּדִיםbesideאֶלthe pilasters,הָאֵילִיםoneאֶחָדon this sideמִפֹּהand oneוְאֶחָדon that side.מִפֹּה
