And I gathered themוָאֶקְבְּצֵםatאֶלthe riverהַנָּהָרthat flowsהַבָּאtoאֶלAhava,אַהֲוָאand we campedוַנַּחֲנֶהthereשָׁםthreeשְׁלֹשָׁהdays;יָמִיםand I observedוָאָבִינָהthe peopleבָעָםand the priests,וּבַכֹּהֲנִיםbut of the sonsוּמִבְּנֵיof LeviלֵוִיI did not findלֹא מָצָאתִיany there.שָׁם

And I proclaimedוָאֶקְרָאa fastצוֹםthere,שָׁםatעַלthe riverהַנָּהָרAhava,אַהֲוָאto afflict ourselvesלְהִתְעַנּוֹתbeforeלִפְנֵיour Elohim,אֱלֹהֵינוּto seekלְבַקֵּשׁfrom himמִמֶּנּוּa straightיְשָׁרָהwayדֶּרֶךְfor usלָנוּand for our little onesוּלְטַפֵּנוּand for allוּלְכָלour goods.רְכוּשֵׁנוּ

and I weighed outוָאֶשְׁקֳלָהto themלָהֶםthe silverהַכֶּסֶףand the goldוְ הַזָּהָבand the utensils,וְ הַכֵּלִיםthe contributionתְּרוּמַתfor the houseבֵּיתof our Elohim,אֱלֹהֵינוּwhichהַthe kingהַמֶּלֶךְand his counselorsוְיֹעֲצָיוand his officialsוְשָׂרָיוand allוְכָלIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵלwho were presentהַנִּמְצָאִיםhad offered;הֵרִימוּ
I weighed outוָאֶשְׁקֲלָהinto their handעַל יָדָםsix hundred fiftyשֵׁשׁ מֵאוֹת וַחֲמִשִּׁיםtalentsכִּכָּרִיםof silver,כֶּסֶףand utensilsוּכְלֵיof silverכֶסֶףworth one hundredמֵאָהtalents,לְכִכָּרִיםgold,זָהָבone hundredמֵאָהtalents,כִכָּר
and twentyוּ עֶשְׂרִיםbowlsכְפֹרֵיof goldזָהָבworth a thousandאָלֶףdarics,לַאֲדַרְכֹנִיםand twoשְׁנַיִםutensilsוּכְלֵיof goodטוֹבָהshiningמֻצְהָבbronze,נְחֹשֶׁתdesirableחֲמוּדֹתas gold.כַּזָּהָב
And I saidוָאֹמְרָהto them,אֲלֵהֶם“Youאַתֶּםare holyקֹדֶשׁto YHWH,לַיהוָהand the utensilsוְהַכֵּלִיםare holy,קֹדֶשׁand the silverוְהַכֶּסֶףand the goldוְהַזָּהָבare a freewill offeringנְדָבָהto YHWH,לַיהוָהthe Elohimאֱלֹהֵיof your fathers.אֲבֹתֵיכֶם
Keep watchשִׁקְדוּand guard themוְשִׁמְרוּuntilעַדyou weigh themתִּשְׁקְלוּbeforeלִפְנֵיthe leadersשָׂרֵיof the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִיםand the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּםand the leadersוְשָׂרֵיof the fathers’ housesהָאָבוֹתof Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵלin Jerusalem,בִּירוּשָׁלִָםin the chambersהַלִּשְׁכוֹתof the houseבֵּיתof YHWH.”יְהוָה
Andוְthe priestsהַכֹּהֲנִיםand the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּםreceivedקִבְּלוּthe weightמִשְׁקַלof the silverהַכֶּסֶףand the goldוְהַזָּהָבand the utensils,וְהַכֵּלִיםto bring themלְהָבִיאto Jerusalem,לִירוּשָׁלִַםto the houseלְבֵיתof our Elohim.אֱלֹהֵינוּ
And we set outוַנִּסְעָהfrom the riverמִנְּהַרAhavaאַהֲוָאon the twelfthבִּשְׁנֵים עָשָׂרof the firstלַ הָרִאשׁוֹןmonthחֹדֶשׁto goלָלֶכֶתto Jerusalem;יְרוּשָׁלִָםand the handוְיַדof our Elohimאֱלֹהֵינוּwasהָיְתָהupon us,עָלֵינוּand he delivered usוַיַּצִּילֵנוּfrom the handמִכַּףof the enemyאוֹיֵבand of the one lying in ambushוְאוֹרֵבalongעַלthe way.הַדָּרֶךְ

Those who had comeהַבָּאִיםfrom the captivity,מֵהַשְּׁבִיthe sonsבְנֵיof the exile,הַגּוֹלָהofferedהִקְרִיבוּburnt offeringsעֹלוֹתto the Elohimלֵאלֹהֵיof Israel:יִשְׂרָאֵלtwelveשְׁנֵים עָשָׂרbullsפָּרִיםforעַלallכָּלIsrael,יִשְׂרָאֵלninety-sixתִּשְׁעִים וְשִׁשָּׁהrams,אֵילִיםseventy-sevenשִׁבְעִים וְשִׁבְעָהlambs,כְּבָשִׂיםtwelveשְׁנֵים עָשָׂרmale goatsצְפִירֵיas a sin offering;חַטָּאתallהַכֹּלwas a burnt offeringעוֹלָהto YHWH.לַיהוָה
And they deliveredוַיִּתְּנוּthe lawsדָּתֵיof the kingהַמֶּלֶךְto the satrapsלַאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנֵיof the kingהַמֶּלֶךְand the governorsוּפַחֲווֹתof the other sideעֵבֶרof the river,הַנָּהָרand they supportedוְנִשְּׂאוּthe peopleהָעָםand the houseוְ בֵּיתof Elohim.הָאֱלֹהִים
