Awake,עוּרִיawake,עוּרִיput onלִבְשִׁיyour strength,עֻזֵּךְZion;צִיּוֹןput onלִבְשִׁיyour garmentsבִּגְדֵיof beauty,תִפְאַרְתֵּךְJerusalem,יְרוּשָׁלִַםthe holyהַקֹּדֶשׁcity;עִירforכִּיneverלֹאagainיוֹסִיף עוֹדwill there comeיָבֹאinto youבָךְthe uncircumcisedעָרֵלor the unclean.וְטָמֵא
Shake yourselfהִתְנַעֲרִיfrom the dust,מֵעָפָרrise up,קוּמִיsit,שְּׁבִיJerusalem;יְרוּשָׁלִָםfree yourself fromהִתְפַּתְּחִיthe bondsמוֹסְרֵיof your neck,צַוָּארֵךְcaptiveשְׁבִיָּהdaughterבַּתof Zion.צִיּוֹן
ForכִּיthusכֹהsaysאָמַרYHWH:יְהוָה“For nothingחִנָּםyou were sold,נִמְכַּרְתֶּםand notוְלֹאwith silverבְכֶסֶףwill you be redeemed.”תִּגָּאֵלוּ
ForכִּיthusכֹהsaysאָמַרAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH:יְהוִה“To Egyptמִצְרַיִםmy peopleעַמִּיwent downיָרַדat the firstבָרִאשֹׁנָהto reside as aliensלָגוּרthere;שָׁםand Assyriaוְאַשּׁוּרoppressed themעֲשָׁקוֹwithout cause.בְּאֶפֶס
And now,וְעַתָּהwhatמַהdo I haveלִּיhere,פֹהdeclaresנְאֻםYHWH,יְהוָהsinceכִּיmy peopleעַמִּיhave been takenלֻקַּחfor nothing?חִנָּםTheir rulersמֹשְׁלָיוhowl,יְהֵילִילוּdeclaresנְאֻםYHWH,יְהוָהand continually,וְתָמִידallכָּלthe day,הַיּוֹםmy nameשְׁמִיis despised.מִנֹּאָץ
Thereforeלָכֵןmy peopleעַמִּיwill knowיֵדַעmy name;שְׁמִיtherefore,לָכֵןin that day,בַּיּוֹם הַהוּאthey will know thatכִּיIאֲנִיam the same,הוּאthe one who speaks:הַמְדַבֵּר‘Here I am.’”הִנֵּנִי
Howמַהbeautiful areנָּאווּon the mountainsעַל הֶהָרִיםthe feetרַגְלֵיof the one who brings good news,מְבַשֵּׂרwho makesמַשְׁמִיעַpeaceשָׁלוֹםheard,מַשְׁמִיעַwho brings good newsמְבַשֵּׂרof good,טוֹבwho makesמַשְׁמִיעַsalvationיְשׁוּעָהheard,מַשְׁמִיעַwho saysאֹמֵרto Zion,לְצִיּוֹן“Your Elohimאֱלֹהָיִךְreigns!”מָלַךְ
The voiceקוֹלof your watchmen!צֹפַיִךְThey lift upנָשְׂאוּtheir voice,קוֹלtogetherיַחְדָּוthey shout for joy;יְרַנֵּנוּforכִּיeyeעַיִןto eyeבְּעַיִןthey will seeיִרְאוּthe returnבְּשׁוּבof YHWHיְהוָהto Zion.צִיּוֹן
Break forth,פִּצְחוּshout for joyרַנְּנוּtogether,יַחְדָּוruinsחָרְבוֹתof Jerusalem;יְרוּשָׁלִָםforכִּיYHWHיְהוָהhas comfortedנִחַםhis people,עַמּוֹhe has redeemedגָּאַלJerusalem.יְרוּשָׁלִָם
YHWHיְהוָהhas baredחָשַׂףhis holy armאֶת זְרוֹעַ קָדְשׁוֹbefore the eyesלְעֵינֵיof allכָּלthe nations,הַגּוֹיִםand allכָּלthe endsאַפְסֵיof the earthאָרֶץwill seeוְרָאוּthe salvationאֵת יְשׁוּעַתof our Elohim.אֱלֹהֵינוּ
Depart,סוּרוּdepart,סוּרוּgo outצְאוּfrom there,מִשָּׁםwhat is uncleanטָמֵאdo notאַלtouch;תִּגָּעוּgo outצְאוּfrom the midst of her;מִתּוֹכָהּpurify yourselves,הִבָּרוּyou who carryנֹשְׂאֵיthe vesselsכְּלֵיof YHWH.יְהוָה
Forכִּיnotלֹאin hasteבְחִפָּזוֹןwill you go out,תֵּצֵאוּnorוּ לֹאin flightבִמְנוּסָהwill you go;תֵלֵכוּןforכִּיYHWHיְהוָהgoesהֹלֵךְbefore you,לִפְנֵיכֶםand your rear guardוּמְאַסִּפְכֶםis the Elohimאֱלֹהֵיof Israel.יִשְׂרָאֵל
Look,הִנֵּהmy servantעַבְדִּיwill act wisely;יַשְׂכִּילhe will be raisedיָרוּםand lifted up,וְנִשָּׂאand will beוְveryמְאֹדhigh.גָבַהּ
Just asכַּאֲשֶׁרmanyרַבִּיםwere astonishedשָׁמְמוּat youעָלֶיךָ—soכֵּןdisfigured,מִשְׁחַתbeyond that of a man,מֵאִישׁwas his appearance,מַרְאֵהוּand his form,וְתֹאֲרוֹbeyond that of human beings—מִבְּנֵי אָדָם
soכֵּןhe will sprinkleיַזֶּהmanyרַבִּיםnations;גּוֹיִםbefore himעָלָיוkingsמְלָכִיםwill shutיִקְפְּצוּtheir mouths;פִּיהֶםforכִּיwhatאֲשֶׁרhad notלֹאbeen toldסֻפַּרthemלָהֶםthey will see,רָאוּand whatוַאֲשֶׁרthey had notלֹאheardשָׁמְעוּthey will understand.הִתְבּוֹנָנוּ
