Remainμείνατεinἐνme,ἐμοίand Iκἀγὼinἐνyou.ὑμῖνJust asκαθὼςthe branchτὸ κλῆμαcannotοὐ δύναταιbearφέρεινfruitκαρπὸνbyἀφ’itselfἑαυτοῦunlessἐὰν μὴit remainsμένῃinἐνthe vine,τῇ ἀμπέλῳsoοὕτωςneither canοὐδὲyou,ὑμεῖςunlessἐὰν μὴyou remainμένητεinἐνme.ἐμοὶ
Iἐγώamεἰμιthe vine;ἡ ἄμπελοςyouὑμεῖςarethe branches.τὰ κλήματαWhoeverὁremainsμένωνinἐνmeἐμοὶand Iκἀγὼinἐνhim,αὐτῷheοὗτοςbearsφέρειmuchπολύνfruit,καρπὸνbecauseὅτιwithoutχωρὶςmeἐμοῦyou canδύνασθεdoποιεῖνnothing.οὐ οὐδέν
Ifἐὰνanyoneτιςdoes notμήremainμένῃinἐνme,ἐμοίhe is thrownἐβλήθηoutἔξωlikeὡςthe branchτὸ κλῆμαandκαὶwithers;ἐξηράνθηandκαὶthey gatherσυνάγουσινthemαὐτὰandκαὶthrow themβάλλουσινintoεἰςthe fire,τὸ πῦρandκαὶthey are burned.καίεται
Ifἐὰνyou remainμείνητεinἐνme,ἐμοὶandκαὶmy wordsτὰ ῥήματά μουremainμείνῃinἐνyou,ὑμῖνaskαἰτήσασθεwhateverὃ ἐὰνyou wish,θέλητεandκαὶit will be doneγενήσεταιfor you.ὑμῖν

Asκαθὼςthe Fatherὁ πατήρhas lovedἠγάπησένme,μεso Iκἀγὼhave lovedἠγάπησαyou;ὑμᾶςremainμείνατεinἐνmyτῇ ἐμῇlove.τῇ ἀγάπῃ
Ifἐὰνyou keepτηρήσητεmy commandments,τὰς ἐντολάς μουyou will remainμενεῖτεinἐνmy love,τῇ ἀγάπῃ μουjust asκαθὼςIἐγὼhave keptτετήρηκαmy Father’sτοῦ πατρός μουcommandmentsτὰς ἐντολὰςandκαὶremainμένωinἐνhis love.αὐτοῦ τῇ ἀγάπῃ

IfΕἰthe worldὁ κόσμοςhatesμισεῖyou,ὑμᾶςknowγινώσκετεthatὅτιit has hatedμεμίσηκενmeἐμὲbeforeπρῶτονit hatedyou.ὑμῶν
Ifεἰyou wereἦτεofἐκthe world,τοῦ κόσμουthe worldὁ κόσμοςwouldἂνhold dearἐφίλειits own;τὸ ἴδιονbutδὲbecauseὅτιyou are notοὐκ ἐστέofἐκthe world,τοῦ κόσμουbutἀλλ’Iἐγὼchoseἐξελεξάμηνyouὑμᾶςout ofἐκthe world,τοῦ κόσμουfor this reasonδιὰ τοῦτοthe worldὁ κόσμοςhatesμισεῖyou.ὑμᾶς

Butἀλλὰthey will doποιήσουσινallπάνταthese thingsταῦταtoεἰςyouὑμᾶςon account ofδιὰmy name,τὸ ὄνομά μουbecauseὅτιthey do notοὐκknowοἴδασινthe one whoτὸνsentπέμψαντάme.με
IfεἰI had notμὴcomeἦλθονandκαὶspokenἐλάλησαto them,αὐτοῖςthey would notοὐκhave hadεἴχοσανsin;ἁμαρτίανbutδὲnowνῦνthey haveἔχουσινnoοὐκexcuseπρόφασινforπερὶtheir sin.τῆς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν
Whoeverὁhatesμισῶνmeἐμὲhatesμισεῖmy Fatherτὸν πατέρα μουalso.καὶ
IfεἰI had notμὴdoneἐποίησαamongἐνthemαὐτοῖςthe worksτὰ ἔργαthatἃnoοὐδεὶςone elseἄλλοςdid,ἐποίησενthey would notοὐκhave hadεἴχοσανsin;ἁμαρτίανbutδὲnowνῦνthey haveκαὶseenἑωράκασινandκαὶhatedμεμισήκασινbothκαὶmeἐμὲandκαὶmy Father.τὸν πατέρα μου
Butἀλλ’this isso thatἵναthe wordὁ λόγοςthatὁis writtenγεγραμμένοςinἐνtheir lawτῷ νόμῳ αὐτῶνmay be fulfilled,πληρωθῇ‘They hatedἘμίσησάνmeμεwithout cause.’δωρεάν
WhenὍτανthe Advocateὁ παράκλητοςcomes,ἔλθῃwhomὃνIἐγὼwill sendπέμψωto youὑμῖνfromπαρὰthe Father,τοῦ πατρόςthe Spiritτὸ πνεῦμαof truth,τῆς ἀληθείαςwhoὃgoes outἐκπορεύεταιfromπαρὰthe Father,τοῦ πατρὸςheἐκεῖνοςwill testifyμαρτυρήσειaboutπερὶme.ἐμοῦ
