Forכִּיlook,הִנֵּהthe dayהַיּוֹםis coming,בָּאburningבֹּעֵרlike the oven;כַּתַּנּוּרand allוְ כָלthe insolentזֵדִיםand allוְכָלwho doעֹשֵׂהwickednessרִשְׁעָהwill beהָיוּstubble;קַשׁand the dayהַיּוֹםthat is comingהַבָּאwill set them ablaze,וְלִהַט אֹתָםsaysאָמַרYHWHיְהוָהTsevaot,צְבָאוֹתso thatאֲשֶׁרit will notלֹאleaveיַעֲזֹבthemלָהֶםrootשֹׁרֶשׁor branch.וְעָנָף
But for youוְ לָכֶםwho fearיִרְאֵיmy nameשְׁמִיthe sunשֶׁמֶשׁof righteousnessצְדָקָהwill rise,זָרְחָהwith healingוּמַרְפֵּאin its wings;בִּכְנָפֶיהָand you will go outוִיצָאתֶםand leapוּפִשְׁתֶּםlike calvesכְּעֶגְלֵיfrom the stall.מַרְבֵּק
And you will trampleוְעַסּוֹתֶםthe wicked,רְשָׁעִיםforכִּיthey will beיִהְיוּashesאֵפֶרunderתַּחַתthe solesכַּפּוֹתof your feetרַגְלֵיכֶםon the dayבַּיּוֹםthatאֲשֶׁרIאֲנִיam making,עֹשֶׂהsaysאָמַרYHWHיְהוָהTsevaot.צְבָאוֹת
Rememberזִכְרוּthe instructionתּוֹרַתof Mosesמֹשֶׁהmy servant,עַבְדִּיwhichאֲשֶׁרI commandedצִוִּיתִיhimאוֹתוֹat HorebבְחֹרֵבforעַלallכָּלIsrael:יִשְׂרָאֵלstatutesחֻקִּיםand rules.וּמִשְׁפָּטִים
Look,הִנֵּהIאָנֹכִיam sendingשֹׁלֵחַyouלָכֶםElijahאֵלִיָּהthe prophetהַנָּבִיאbeforeלִפְנֵיthe comingבּוֹאof the dayיוֹםof YHWH,יְהוָהthe greatהַגָּדוֹלand the fearsome.וְהַנּוֹרָא
And he will turnוְהֵשִׁיבthe heartלֵבof fathersאָבוֹתtoעַלchildren,בָּנִיםand the heartוְלֵבof childrenבָּנִיםtoעַלtheir fathers,אֲבוֹתָםlestפֶּןI comeאָבוֹאand strikeוְהִכֵּיתִיthe landהָאָרֶץwith devotion to destruction.חֵרֶם
