ThenΤότεPhariseesΦαρισαῖοιandκαὶscribesγραμματεῖςfromἀπὸJerusalemἹεροσολύμωνcomeπροσέρχονταιto Jesus,τῷ Ἰησοῦsaying,λέγοντες

“WhyΔιὰ τίdo your disciplesοἱ μαθηταί σουbreakπαραβαίνουσινthe traditionτὴν παράδοσινof the elders?τῶν πρεσβυτέρωνForγὰρthey do notοὐwashνίπτονταιtheir handsτὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶνwhenὅτανthey eatἐσθίωσινbread.”ἄρτον

Butδὲheὁansweredἀποκριθεὶςand saidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“WhyΔιὰ τίdo youὑμεῖςalsoκαὶbreakπαραβαίνετεthe commandmentτὴν ἐντολὴνof Godτοῦ θεοῦfor the sake ofδιὰyour tradition?τὴν παράδοσιν ὑμῶν

ForγὰρGodὁ θεὸςsaid,εἶπεν‘HonorΤίμαyour fatherτὸν πατέραandκαὶyour mother,’τὴν μητέραand,καί‘WhoeverὉspeaks evil ofκακολογῶνfatherπατέραorἢmotherμητέραmust surely die.’θανάτῳ τελευτάτω2

Butδὲyouὑμεῖςsay,λέγετε‘WhoeverὋς ἂνsaysεἴπῃto his fatherτῷ πατρὶorἢmother,τῇ μητρί“Whateverὃ ἐὰνyou would have gainedὠφεληθῇςfromἐξmeἐμοῦisan offering to God,”Δῶρον

will certainly notοὐ μὴhonorτιμήσειhis father.’τὸν πατέρα αὐτοῦAndκαὶyou have nullifiedἠκυρώσατεthe wordτὸν λόγονof Godτοῦ θεοῦfor the sake ofδιὰyour tradition.τὴν παράδοσιν ὑμῶν

Hypocrites!ὑποκριταίIsaiahἨσαΐαςprophesiedἐπροφήτευσενwellκαλῶςaboutπερὶyou,ὑμῶνsaying,λέγων

‘ThisοὗτοςpeopleὉ λαὸςhonorsτιμᾷmeμεwith their lips,τοῖς χείλεσίνbutδὲtheir heartἡ καρδία αὐτῶνis far awayπόρρω ἀπέχειfromἀπ’me;ἐμοῦ1

andδὲin vainμάτηνthey worshipσέβονταίme,μεteachingδιδάσκοντεςas doctrinesδιδασκαλίαςthe commandmentsἐντάλματαof men.’”ἀνθρώπων

AndΚαὶsummoningπροσκαλεσάμενοςthe crowd,τὸν ὄχλονhe saidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“ListenἈκούετεandκαὶunderstand:συνίετε

it is notοὐwhatτὸgoesεἰσερχόμενονintoεἰςthe mouthτὸ στόμαthatdefilesκοινοῖthe person,τὸν ἄνθρωπονbutἀλλὰwhatτὸcomes outἐκπορευόμενονofἐκthe mouth,τοῦ στόματοςthisτοῦτοdefilesκοινοῖthe person.”τὸν ἄνθρωπον

ThenΤότεthe disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶcome upπροσελθόντεςand sayλέγουσινto him,αὐτῷ“Do you knowΟἶδαςthatὅτιthe Phariseesοἱ Φαρισαῖοιtook offenseἐσκανδαλίσθησανwhen they heardἀκούσαντεςyourword?”τὸν λόγον

Butδὲheὁansweredἀποκριθεὶςand said,εἶπεν“EveryΠᾶσαplantφυτείαthatἣνmyμουheavenlyὁ οὐράνιοςFatherὁ πατήρdid notοὐκplantἐφύτευσενwill be uprooted.ἐκριζωθήσεται

Leaveἄφετεthem;αὐτούςthey areεἰσινblindτυφλοίguidesὁδηγοὶof the blind.τυφλῶνAndδὲifἐὰνa blind manτυφλὸςguidesὁδηγῇa blind man,τυφλὸνbothἀμφότεροιwill fallπεσοῦνταιintoεἰςa pit.”βόθυνον

AndδὲPeterὁ ΠέτροςansweredἈποκριθεὶςand saidεἶπενto him,αὐτῷ“ExplainΦράσονthis parableτὴν παραβολὴν ταύτηνto us.”ἡμῖν

Andδὲheὁsaid,εἶπεν“Are youὑμεῖς ἐστεalsoκαὶstillἈκμὴνwithout understanding?ἀσύνετοί

Do you notοὐseeνοεῖτεthatὅτιeverythingπᾶνthatτὸgoesεἰσπορευόμενονintoεἰςthe mouthτὸ στόμαpassesχωρεῖintoεἰςthe stomachτὴν κοιλίανandκαὶis expelledἐκβάλλεταιintoεἰςthe latrine?ἀφεδρῶνα

Butδὲthe things thatτὰcome outἐκπορευόμεναofἐκthe mouthτοῦ στόματοςcome forthἐξέρχεταιfromἐκthe heart,τῆς καρδίαςand thoseκἀκεῖναdefileκοινοῖthe person.τὸν ἄνθρωπον

Forγὰρout ofἐκthe heartτῆς καρδίαςcomeἐξέρχονταιevilπονηροίthoughts,διαλογισμοὶmurders,φόνοιadulteries,μοιχεῖαιsexual immoralities,πορνεῖαιthefts,κλοπαίfalse testimonies,ψευδομαρτυρίαιblasphemies.βλασφημίαι

Theseταῦτάareἐστινwhatτὰdefileκοινοῦνταthe person;τὸν ἄνθρωπονbutδὲto eatτὸ φαγεῖνwith unwashedἀνίπτοιςhandsχερσὶνdoes notοὐdefileκοινοῖthe person.”τὸν ἄνθρωπον

AndΚαὶgoing outἐξελθὼνfrom there,ἐκεῖθενJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςwithdrewἀνεχώρησενintoεἰςthe regionτὰ μέρηof TyreΤύρουandκαὶSidon.Σιδῶνος

Andκαὶlook,ἰδοὺa CanaaniteΧαναναίαwomanγυνὴfromἀπὸthat regionτῶν ὁρίων ἐκείνωνcame outἐξελθοῦσαand was crying out,ἔκραζενsaying,λέγουσα“Have mercy onἘλέησόνme,μεLord,κύριεSonυἱὸςof David!ΔαυίδMy daughterἡ θυγάτηρ μουis badlyκακῶςdemon-possessed.”δαιμονίζεται

Butδὲheὁdid notοὐκanswerἀπεκρίθηherαὐτῇa word.λόγονAndκαὶhis disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦcameπροσελθόντεςand were urgingἠρώτουνhim,αὐτὸνsaying,λέγοντες“SendἈπόλυσονherαὐτήνaway,Ἀπόλυσονforὅτιshe is crying outκράζειafterὄπισθενus.”ἡμῶν

Butδὲheὁansweredἀποκριθεὶςand said,εἶπεν“I was notΟὐκsentἀπεστάληνexceptεἰ μὴtoεἰςthe lostτὰ ἀπολωλόταsheepτὰ πρόβαταof the houseοἴκουof Israel.”Ἰσραήλ

Butδὲsheἡcameἐλθοῦσαand was bowing down beforeπροσεκύνειhim,αὐτῷsaying,λέγουσα“Lord,Κύριεhelpβοήθειme.”μοι

Butδὲheὁansweredἀποκριθεὶςand said,εἶπεν“It is notΟὐκ ἔστινgoodκαλὸνto takeλαβεῖνthe children’sτῶν τέκνωνbreadτὸν ἄρτονandκαὶthrow itβαλεῖνto the little dogs.”τοῖς κυναρίοις

Butδὲsheἡsaid,εἶπεν“Yes,ΝαίLord;κύριεforγὰρevenκαὶthe little dogsτὰ κυνάριαeatἐσθίειfromἀπὸthe crumbsτῶν ψιχίωνthatτῶνfallπιπτόντωνfromἀπὸtheir masters’τῶν κυρίων αὐτῶνtable.”τῆς τραπέζης

ThenτότεJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςansweredἀποκριθεὶςand saidεἶπενto her,αὐτῇ“OὮwoman,γύναιgreatμεγάληisyour faith!σου ἡ πίστιςLet it be doneγενηθήτωfor youσοιasὡςyou wish.”θέλειςAndκαὶher daughterἡ θυγάτηρ αὐτῆςwas healedἰάθηfromἀπὸthat hour.τῆς ὥρας ἐκείνης

AndΚαὶmoving onμεταβὰςfrom there,ἐκεῖθενJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςcameἦλθενbesideπαρὰthe Seaτὴν θάλασσανof Galilee;τῆς Γαλιλαίαςandκαὶgoing upἀναβὰςontoεἰςthe mountain,τὸ ὄροςhe was sittingἐκάθητοthere.ἐκεῖ

Andκαὶmanyπολλοὶcrowdsὄχλοιcameπροσῆλθονto him,αὐτῷhavingἔχοντεςwithμεθ’themἑαυτῶνthe mute,κωφούςblind,τυφλούςlame,χωλούςmaimed,κυλλούςandκαὶmanyπολλούςothers,ἑτέρουςandκαὶthey setἔρριψανthemαὐτοὺςatπαρὰhis feet;τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦandκαὶhe healedἐθεράπευσενthem,αὐτούς

so thatὥστεthe crowdτὸν ὄχλονwas amazedθαυμάσαιseeingβλέπονταςthe muteκωφοὺςspeaking,λαλοῦνταςthe maimedκυλλοὺςwhole,ὑγιεῖςandκαὶthe lameχωλοὺςwalking,περιπατοῦνταςandκαὶthe blindτυφλοὺςseeing;βλέπονταςandκαὶthey glorifiedἐδόξασανthe Godτὸν θεὸνof Israel.Ἰσραήλ

AndδὲJesusὉ Ἰησοῦςcalledπροσκαλεσάμενοςhis disciplesτοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦto himand said,εἶπεν“I have compassionΣπλαγχνίζομαιonἐπὶthe crowd,τὸν ὄχλονbecauseὅτιthey have been staying withπροσμένουσίνmeμοιthreeτρεῖςdaysἡμέραιalreadyἤδηandκαὶthey do notοὐκhaveἔχουσινanythingτίto eat;φάγωσινandκαὶI do notοὐwantθέλωto sendἀπολῦσαιthemαὐτοὺςawayἀπολῦσαιhungry,νήστειςlestμήποτεthey faintἐκλυθῶσινonἐνthe way.”τῇ ὁδῷ

Andκαὶthe disciplesοἱ μαθηταίsayλέγουσινto him,αὐτῷ“WhereΠόθενwouldweἡμῖνgetso manyτοσοῦτοιloavesἄρτοιinἐνa desolate placeἐρημίᾳtoὥστεsatisfyχορτάσαιso greatτοσοῦτονa crowd?”ὄχλον

AndκαὶJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςsaysλέγειto them,αὐτοῖς“How manyΠόσουςloavesἄρτουςdo you have?”ἔχετεAndδὲtheyοἱsaid,εἶπαν“Seven,Ἑπτάandκαὶa fewὀλίγαsmall fish.”ἰχθύδια

Andκαὶdirectingπαραγγείλαςthe crowdτῷ ὄχλῳto sit downἀναπεσεῖνonἐπὶthe ground,τὴν γῆν

he tookἔλαβενthe sevenτοὺς ἑπτὰloavesἄρτουςandκαὶthe fish,τοὺς ἰχθύαςandκαὶhaving given thanksεὐχαριστήσαςhe broke themἔκλασενandκαὶwas giving themἐδίδουto the disciples,τοῖς μαθηταῖςandδὲthe disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶto the crowds.τοῖς ὄχλοις

Andκαὶthey allπάντεςateἔφαγονandκαὶwere satisfied;ἐχορτάσθησανandκαὶthey took upἦρανwhatτὸwas left overπερισσεῦονof the broken pieces,τῶν κλασμάτωνsevenἑπτὰbasketsσπυρίδαςfull.πλήρεις

Andδὲthose whoοἱateἐσθίοντεςwereἦσανfour thousandτετρακισχίλιοιmen,ἄνδρεςbesidesχωρὶςwomenγυναικῶνandκαὶchildren.παιδίων

Andκαὶafter sending awayἀπολύσαςthe crowds,τοὺς ὄχλουςhe gotἐνέβηintoεἰςthe boatτὸ πλοῖονandκαὶcameἦλθενintoεἰςthe regionτὰ ὅριαof Magadan.Μαγαδάν
