“The kingdomἡ βασιλείαof heavenτῶν οὐρανῶνhas become likeὩμοιώθηa man,ἀνθρώπῳa king,βασιλεῖwhoὅστιςmadeἐποίησενa wedding feastγάμουςfor his son.τῷ υἱῷ αὐτοῦ
Andκαὶhe sentἀπέστειλενhis slavesτοὺς δούλους αὐτοῦto callκαλέσαιthose who had been invitedτοὺς κεκλημένουςtoεἰςthe wedding feast,τοὺς γάμουςandκαὶthey were notοὐκwillingἤθελονto come.ἐλθεῖν
Againπάλινhe sentἀπέστειλενotherἄλλουςslaves,δούλουςsaying,λέγων‘TellΕἴπατεthose who have been invited,τοῖς κεκλημένοις“Look,ἸδοὺI have preparedἡτοίμακαmy dinner,τὸ ἄριστόν μουmy bullsοἱ ταῦροί μουandκαὶthe fattened animalsτὰ σιτιστὰhave been slaughtered,τεθυμέναandκαὶeverythingπάνταisready;ἕτοιμαcomeδεῦτεtoεἰςthe wedding feast.”’τοὺς γάμους
Butδὲtheyοἱpaid no attentionἀμελήσαντεςand went off,ἀπῆλθονoneὃς μὲνtoεἰςhis ownτὸν ἴδιονfield,ἀγρόνanotherὃς δὲtoἐπὶhis business;τὴν ἐμπορίαν αὐτοῦ
andδὲthe rest,οἱ λοιποὶseizingκρατήσαντεςhis slaves,τοὺς δούλους αὐτοῦtreated them shamefullyὕβρισανandκαὶkilled them.ἀπέκτειναν
The kingὁ βασιλεὺςwas angered,ὠργίσθηandκαὶsendingπέμψαςhis troops,τὰ στρατεύματα αὐτοῦhe destroyedἀπώλεσενthoseἐκείνουςmurderersτοὺς φονεῖςandκαὶburnedἐνέπρησενtheir city.τὴν πόλιν αὐτῶν
Thenτότεhe saysλέγειto his slaves,τοῖς δούλοις αὐτοῦ‘The wedding feastὉ γάμοςisἐστινready,ἕτοιμόςbutδὲthose who were invitedοἱ κεκλημένοιwereἦσανnotοὐκworthy.ἄξιοι
Soοὖνgoπορεύεσθεtoἐπὶthe places whereτὰς διεξόδουςthe roadsτῶν ὁδῶνgo out of the city,διεξόδουςandκαὶas many asὅσους ἐὰνyou find,εὕρητεinviteκαλέσατεtoεἰςthe wedding feast.’τοὺς γάμους
Andκαὶthoseἐκεῖνοιslavesοἱ δοῦλοιwent outἐξελθόντεςintoεἰςthe roadsτὰς ὁδοὺςand gatheredσυνήγαγονallπάνταςwhomοὓςthey found,εὗρονbothτεevilπονηρούςandκαὶgood;ἀγαθούςandκαὶthe wedding feastὁ γάμοςwas filledἐπλήσθηwith guests.ἀνακειμένων
Butδὲwhen the kingὁ βασιλεὺςcame inεἰσελθὼνto look atθεάσασθαιthe guests,τοὺς ἀνακειμένουςhe sawεἶδενthereἐκεῖa manἄνθρωπονnotοὐκwearingἐνδεδυμένονa weddingγάμουgarment.ἔνδυμα
Andκαὶhe saysλέγειto him,αὐτῷ‘Friend,Ἑταῖρεhowπῶςdid you come inεἰσῆλθεςhereὧδεwithoutμὴhavingἔχωνa weddingγάμουgarment?’ἔνδυμαButδὲheὁwas speechless.ἐφιμώθη
Thenτότεthe kingὁ βασιλεὺςsaidεἶπενto the servants,τοῖς διακόνοις‘BindΔήσαντεςhisαὐτοῦfeetπόδαςandκαὶhandsχεῖραςandthrowἐκβάλετεhimαὐτὸνintoεἰςthe outerτὸ ἐξώτερονdarkness;τὸ σκότοςthereἐκεῖwill beἔσταιweepingὁ κλαυθμὸςandκαὶgnashingὁ βρυγμὸςof teeth.’τῶν ὀδόντων
Forγάρmanyπολλοὶareεἰσινcalled,κλητοὶbutδὲfewὀλίγοιchosen.”ἐκλεκτοί
ThenΤότεthe Phariseesοἱ Φαρισαῖοιwentπορευθέντεςand tookἔλαβονcounselσυμβούλιονhowὅπωςthey might trapπαγιδεύσωσινhimαὐτὸνinἐνhis words.λόγῳ
Andκαὶthey sendἀποστέλλουσινto himαὐτῷtheir disciplesτοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτῶνwithμετὰthe Herodians,τῶν Ἡρῳδιανῶνsaying,λέγοντες“Teacher,Διδάσκαλεwe knowοἴδαμενthatὅτιyou areεἶtrueἀληθὴςandκαὶteachδιδάσκειςthe wayτὴν ὁδὸνof Godτοῦ θεοῦinἐνtruth,ἀληθείᾳandκαὶyou do notοὐcareμέλει σοιaboutπερὶanyone,οὐδενόςforγὰρyou do notοὐlookβλέπειςatεἰςthe faceπρόσωπονof people.ἀνθρώπων
Tellεἰπὸνus,ἡμῖνthen,οὖνwhatτίdo youσοιthink?δοκεῖIs it lawfulἔξεστινto payδοῦναιthe taxκῆνσονto Caesar,Καίσαριorἢnot?”οὔ
ButδὲJesus,ὁ Ἰησοῦςknowingγνοὺςtheir wickedness,τὴν πονηρίαν αὐτῶνsaid,εἶπεν“WhyΤίare you testingπειράζετεme,μεhypocrites?ὑποκριταί
Showἐπιδείξατέmeμοιthe coinτὸ νόμισμαfor the tax.”τοῦ κήνσουAndδὲtheyοἱbroughtπροσήνεγκανhimαὐτῷa denarius.δηνάριον
Andκαὶhe saysλέγειto them,αὐτοῖς“WhoseΤίνοςisthisαὕτηimageἡ εἰκὼνandκαὶinscription?”ἡ ἐπιγραφή
They sayλέγουσινto him,αὐτῷ“Caesar’s.”ΚαίσαροςThenτότεhe saysλέγειto them,αὐτοῖς“Give back,Ἀπόδοτεthen,οὖνto CaesarΚαίσαριthe thingsτὰof Caesar,Καίσαροςandκαὶto Godτῷ θεῷthe thingsτὰof God.”τοῦ θεοῦ
Andκαὶwhen they heard it,ἀκούσαντεςthey were amazed;ἐθαύμασανandκαὶleavingἀφέντεςhim,αὐτὸνthey went away.ἀπῆλθαν
OnἘνthatἐκείνῃdayτῇ ἡμέρᾳSadducees,Σαδδουκαῖοιwho sayλέγοντεςthere isεἶναιnoμὴresurrection,ἀνάστασινcameπροσῆλθονto him,αὐτῷandκαὶthey questionedἐπηρώτησανhim,αὐτὸν
saying,λέγοντες“Teacher,ΔιδάσκαλεMosesΜωϋσῆςsaid,εἶπεν‘IfἘάνsomeoneτιςdiesἀποθάνῃnotμὴhavingἔχωνchildren,τέκναhis brotherὁ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦshall marryἐπιγαμβρεύσειhis wifeτὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦandκαὶraise upἀναστήσειoffspringσπέρμαfor his brother.’τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ
Nowδὲthere wereἦσανamongπαρ’usἡμῖνsevenἑπτὰbrothers;ἀδελφοίandκαὶthe firstὁ πρῶτοςmarriedγήμαςand died,ἐτελεύτησενandκαὶnotμὴhavingἔχωνoffspring,σπέρμαhe leftἀφῆκενhis wifeτὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦto his brother;τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ
likewiseὁμοίωςalsoκαὶthe secondὁ δεύτεροςandκαὶthe third,ὁ τρίτοςup toἕωςthe seven.τῶν ἑπτά
Andδὲlastὕστερονof allπάντωνthe womanἡ γυνήdied.ἀπέθανεν
Inἐνthe resurrection,τῇ ἀναστάσειthen,οὖνwhoseτίνοςwifeγυνήof the sevenτῶν ἑπτὰwill she be?ἔσταιForγὰρthey allπάντεςhadἔσχονher.”αὐτήν
ButδὲJesusὁ ἸησοῦςansweredἈποκριθεὶςthem,αὐτοῖς“You are mistaken,Πλανᾶσθεnotμὴknowingεἰδότεςthe Scripturesτὰς γραφὰςnorμηδὲthe powerτὴν δύναμινof God.τοῦ θεοῦ
Forγὰρinἐνthe resurrectionτῇ ἀναστάσειthey neitherοὔτεmarryγαμοῦσινnorοὔτεare given in marriage,γαμίζονταιbutἀλλ’areεἰσινlikeὡςangelsἄγγελοιof Godθεοῦinἐνheaven.τῷ οὐρανῷ
Butδὲconcerningπερὶthe resurrectionτῆς ἀναστάσεωςof the dead,τῶν νεκρῶνhave you notοὐκreadἀνέγνωτεwhat was spokenτὸ ῥηθὲνto youὑμῖνbyὑπὸGod,τοῦ θεοῦsaying,λέγοντος
‘IἘγώamεἰμιthe Godὁ θεὸςof AbrahamἈβραὰμandκαὶthe Godὁ θεὸςof IsaacἸσαὰκandκαὶthe Godὁ θεὸςof Jacob’?ἸακώβHe isἔστινnotοὐκGodὁ θεὸςof the dead,νεκρῶνbutἀλλὰof the living.”ζώντων
Andκαὶwhen the crowdsοἱ ὄχλοιheard it,ἀκούσαντεςthey were astonishedἐξεπλήσσοντοatἐπὶhis teaching.τῇ διδαχῇ αὐτοῦ
Butδὲthe Pharisees,Οἱ Φαρισαῖοιhearingἀκούσαντεςthatὅτιhe had silencedἐφίμωσενthe Sadducees,τοὺς Σαδδουκαίουςgathered togetherσυνήχθησανinἐπὶthe same place.τὸ αὐτό
Andκαὶoneεἷςofἐξthem,αὐτῶνa lawyer,νομικὸςasked a question,ἐπηρώτησενtestingπειράζωνhim:αὐτόν
“Teacher,Διδάσκαλεwhichποίαis thegreatμεγάληcommandmentἐντολὴinἐνthe law?”τῷ νόμῳ
Andδὲheὁsaidἔφηto him,αὐτῷ“‘You shall loveἈγαπήσειςthe Lordκύριονyour Godτὸν θεόν σουwithἐνallὅλῃyour heartτῇ καρδίᾳ σουandκαὶwithἐνallὅλῃyour soulτῇ ψυχῇ σουandκαὶwithἐνallὅλῃyour mind.’τῇ διανοίᾳ σου
Thisαὕτηisἐστὶνthe greatἡ μεγάληandκαὶfirstπρώτηcommandment.ἐντολή
Andδὲa secondΔευτέραislikeὁμοίαit:αὐτῇ‘You shall loveἈγαπήσειςyour neighborτὸν πλησίον σουasὡςyourself.’σεαυτόν
Onἐνtheseταύταις ταῖςtwoδυσὶνcommandmentsἐντολαῖςhangκρέματαιthe wholeὅλοςlawὁ νόμοςandκαὶthe prophets.”οἱ προφῆται
Nowδὲwhile the Phariseesτῶν Φαρισαίωνwere gathered together,ΣυνηγμένωνJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςaskedἐπηρώτησενthem,αὐτοὺς
saying,λέγων“WhatΤίdo youὑμῖνthinkδοκεῖaboutπερὶthe Messiah?τοῦ χριστοῦWhoseτίνοςsonυἱόςis he?”ἐστινThey sayλέγουσινto him,αὐτῷ“David’s.”Τοῦ Δαυίδ
He saysλέγειto them,αὐτοῖς“HowΠῶςthenοὖνdoes David,Δαυὶδinἐνthe Spirit,πνεύματιcallκαλεῖhimαὐτὸνLord,κύριονsaying,λέγων
‘The LordκύριοςsaidΕἶπενto my Lord,τῷ κυρίῳ μου“SitΚάθουatἐκmy rightδεξιῶν μουuntilἕως ἂνI putθῶyour enemiesτοὺς ἐχθρούς σουunderὑποκάτωyour feet”’?τῶν ποδῶν σου
IfεἰthenοὖνDavidΔαυὶδcallsκαλεῖhimαὐτὸνLord,κύριονhowπῶςis heἐστινhisαὐτοῦson?”υἱὸς
Andκαὶno oneοὐδεὶςwas ableἐδύνατοto answerἀποκριθῆναιhimαὐτῷa word,λόγονnorοὐδὲdid anyoneτιςdareἐτόλμησένfromἀπ’thatἐκείνηςdayτῆς ἡμέραςto questionἐπερωτῆσαιhimαὐτὸνany longer.οὐκέτι
