And YHWHוַ יְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Makeעֲשֵׂהfor yourselfלְךָtwoשְׁתֵּיtrumpetsחֲצוֹצְרֹתof silver;כֶּסֶףof hammered workמִקְשָׁהyou shall makeתַּעֲשֶׂהthem;אֹתָםand they shall beוְהָיוּfor youלְךָfor summoningלְמִקְרָאthe communityהָעֵדָהand for setting outוּלְמַסַּעthe camps.אֶת הַמַּחֲנוֹת
And when they blowוְתָקְעוּthem,בָּהֵןthe wholeכָּלcommunityהָעֵדָהshall gatherוְנוֹעֲדוּto youאֵלֶיךָat the entranceאֶל פֶּתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meeting.מוֹעֵד
But ifוְאִםthey blowיִתְקָעוּonly one,בְּאַחַתthen the chiefs,וְ הַנְּשִׂיאִיםthe headsרָאשֵׁיof the thousandsאַלְפֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלshall gatherנוֹעֲדוּto you.אֵלֶיךָ
When you blowוּתְקַעְתֶּםan acclamation,תְּרוּעָהthe campsהַמַּחֲנוֹתthat campהַחֹנִיםon the east sideקֵדְמָהshall set out.וְנָסְעוּ
And when you blowוּתְקַעְתֶּםan acclamationתְּרוּעָהthe second time,שֵׁנִיתthe campsהַמַּחֲנוֹתthat campהַחֹנִיםon the south sideתֵּימָנָהshall set out;וְנָסְעוּan acclamationתְּרוּעָהthey shall blowיִתְקְעוּfor their settings out.לְמַסְעֵיהֶם
But when assemblingוּבְהַקְהִילthe assembly,אֶת הַקָּהָלyou shall blow,תִּתְקְעוּbut notוְלֹאsound an acclamation.תָרִיעוּ
And the sonsוּבְנֵיof Aaron,אַהֲרֹןthe priests,הַכֹּהֲנִיםshall blowיִתְקְעוּthe trumpets;בַּחֲצֹצְרוֹתand they shall beוְהָיוּfor youלָכֶםa statuteלְחֻקַּתforeverעוֹלָםthroughout your generations.לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם
And whenוְכִיyou goתָבֹאוּto warמִלְחָמָהin your landבְּאַרְצְכֶםagainstעַלthe adversaryהַצַּרwho harassesהַצֹּרֵרyou,אֶתְכֶםyou shall sound an acclamationוַהֲרֵעֹתֶםwith the trumpets,בַּחֲצֹצְרוֹתand you will be rememberedוֲנִזְכַּרְתֶּםbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim,אֱלֹהֵיכֶםand you will be savedוְנוֹשַׁעְתֶּםfrom your enemies.מֵאֹיְבֵיכֶם
And on the dayוּבְיוֹםof your rejoicing,שִׂמְחַתְכֶםand at your appointed times,וּבְמוֹעֲדֵיכֶםand at the beginningsוּבְרָאשֵׁיof your months,חָדְשֵׁיכֶםyou shall blowוּתְקַעְתֶּםthe trumpetsבַּחֲצֹצְרֹתoverעַלyour burnt offeringsעֹלֹתֵיכֶםand overוְעַלthe sacrificesזִבְחֵיof your peace offerings;שַׁלְמֵיכֶםand they shall beוְהָיוּfor youלָכֶםa memorialלְזִכָּרוֹןbeforeלִפְנֵיyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵיכֶםI amאֲנִיYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.”אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
And it happenedוַיְהִיin the secondהַשֵּׁנִיתyear,בַּשָּׁנָהin the secondהַשֵּׁנִיmonth,בַּחֹדֶשׁon the twentiethבְּעֶשְׂרִיםof the month,בַּחֹדֶשׁthat the cloudהֶעָנָןwas liftedנַעֲלָהfrom overמֵעַלthe dwellingמִשְׁכַּןof the testimony.הָעֵדֻת
And the sonsוַ בְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלset outיִּסְעוּby stagesלְמַסְעֵיהֶםfrom the wildernessמִמִּדְבַּרof Sinai,סִינָיand the cloudוַ הֶעָנָןsettledיִּשְׁכֹּןin the wildernessבְּמִדְבַּרof Paran.פָּארָן
So they set outוַיִּסְעוּfor the first timeבָּרִאשֹׁנָהaccording to the commandעַל פִּיof YHWHיְהוָהthroughבְּיַדMoses.מֹשֶׁה
And the bannerוַ דֶּגֶלof the campמַחֲנֵהof the sonsבְנֵיof Judahיְהוּדָהset outיִּסַּעfirstבָּרִאשֹׁנָהby their armies,לְצִבְאֹתָםand overוְעַלits armyצְבָאוֹwas Nahshonנַחְשׁוֹןsonבֶּןof Amminadab.עַמִּינָדָב
And overוְעַלthe armyצְבָאof the tribeמַטֵּהof the sonsבְּנֵיof Issacharיִשָׂשכָרwas Nethanelנְתַנְאֵלsonבֶּןof Zuar.צוּעָר
And overוְעַלthe armyצְבָאof the tribeמַטֵּהof the sonsבְּנֵיof Zebulunזְבוּלֻןwas Eliabאֱלִיאָבsonבֶּןof Helon.חֵלוֹן
And the dwellingוְ הַמִּשְׁכָּןwas taken down,הוּרַדand the sonsוְ בְנֵיof Gershonגֵרְשׁוֹןand the sonsוּבְנֵיof Merari,מְרָרִיwho carriedנֹשְׂאֵיthe dwelling,הַמִּשְׁכָּןset out.נָסְעוּ
And the bannerוְ דֶּגֶלof the campמַחֲנֵהof Reubenרְאוּבֵןset outנָסַעby their armies,לְצִבְאֹתָםand overוְעַלits armyצְבָאוֹwas Elizurאֱלִיצוּרsonבֶּןof Shedeur.שְׁדֵיאוּר
And overוְעַלthe armyצְבָאof the tribeמַטֵּהof the sonsבְּנֵיof Simeonשִׁמְעוֹןwas Shelumielשְׁלֻמִיאֵלsonבֶּןof Zurishaddai.צוּרִי שַׁדָּי
And overוְעַלthe armyצְבָאof the tribeמַטֵּהof the sonsבְנֵיof Gadגָדwas Eliasaphאֶלְיָסָףsonבֶּןof Deuel.דְּעוּאֵל
And the Kohathites,וְ הַקְּהָתִיםwho carriedנֹשְׂאֵיthe sanctuary,הַמִּקְדָּשׁset out;נָסְעוּand the dwellingאֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּןwas set upוְהֵקִימוּbefore they arrived.עַד בֹּאָם
And the bannerוְ דֶּגֶלof the campמַחֲנֵהof the sonsבְנֵיof Ephraimאֶפְרַיִםset outנָסַעby their armies,לְצִבְאֹתָםand overוְעַלits armyצְבָאוֹwas Elishamaאֱלִישָׁמָעsonבֶּןof Ammihud.עַמִּיהוּד
And overוְעַלthe armyצְבָאof the tribeמַטֵּהof the sonsבְּנֵיof Manassehמְנַשֶּׁהwas Gamalielגַּמְלִיאֵלsonבֶּןof Pedahzur.פְּדָה צוּר
And overוְעַלthe armyצְבָאof the tribeמַטֵּהof the sonsבְּנֵיof Benjaminבִנְיָמִןwas Abidanאֲבִידָןsonבֶּןof Gideoni.גִּדְעוֹנִי
And the bannerוְ דֶּגֶלof the campמַחֲנֵהof the sonsבְנֵיof Dan,דָןthe rear guardמְאַסֵּףof allלְכָלthe camps,הַמַּחֲנֹתset outנָסַעby their armies,לְצִבְאֹתָםand overוְעַלits armyצְבָאוֹwas Ahiezerאֲחִיעֶזֶרsonבֶּןof Ammishaddai.עַמִּישַׁדָּי
And overוְעַלthe armyצְבָאof the tribeמַטֵּהof the sonsבְּנֵיof Asherאָשֵׁרwas Pagielפַּגְעִיאֵלsonבֶּןof Ochran.עָכְרָן
And overוְעַלthe armyצְבָאof the tribeמַטֵּהof the sonsבְּנֵיof Naphtaliנַפְתָּלִיwas Ahiraאֲחִירַעsonבֶּןof Enan.עֵינָן
These wereאֵלֶּהthe settings outמַסְעֵיof the sonsבְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלby their armies;לְצִבְאֹתָםand they set out.וַיִּסָּעוּ
And Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהsaidיֹּאמֶרto Hobabלְחֹבָבsonבֶּןof Reuelרְעוּאֵלthe Midianite,הַמִּדְיָנִיMoses’מֹשֶׁהfather-in-law,חֹתֵן“Weאֲנַחְנוּare setting outנֹסְעִיםfor the placeאֶל הַמָּקוֹםof whichאֲשֶׁר אֹתוֹYHWHיְהוָהsaid,אָמַר‘I will give itאֶתֵּןto you.’לָכֶםComeלְכָהwith us,אִתָּנוּand we will do you good,וְהֵטַבְנוּ לָךְforכִּיYHWHיְהוָהhas spokenדִּבֶּרgoodטוֹבconcerningעַלIsrael.”יִשְׂרָאֵל
And he saidוַיֹּאמֶרto him,אֵלָיו“I will notלֹאgo;אֵלֵךְbutכִּי אִםto my landאֶל אַרְצִיand to my kindredוְאֶל מוֹלַדְתִּיI will go.”אֵלֵךְ
And he said,וַיֹּאמֶר“Pleaseנָאdo notאַלleaveתַּעֲזֹבus,אֹתָנוּforכִּי עַל כֵּןyou knowיָדַעְתָּwhere we should campחֲנֹתֵנוּin the wilderness,בַּמִּדְבָּרand you will beוְהָיִיתָeyesלְעֵינָיִםfor us.לָּנוּ
And ifוְהָיָה כִּיyou goתֵלֵךְwith us,עִמָּנוּthen whateverוְהָיָהgoodהַטּוֹב הַהוּאthatאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהdoesיֵיטִיבfor us,עִמָּנוּwe will do the same goodוְהֵטַבְנוּto you.”לָךְ
And they set outוַיִּסְעוּfrom the mountainמֵהַרof YHWHיְהוָהa journeyדֶּרֶךְof threeשְׁלֹשֶׁתdays,יָמִיםand the arkוַאֲרוֹןof the covenantבְּרִיתof YHWHיְהוָהwentנֹסֵעַbefore themלִפְנֵיהֶםa journeyדֶּרֶךְof threeשְׁלֹשֶׁתdaysיָמִיםto seek outלָתוּרfor themלָהֶםa resting place.מְנוּחָה
And the cloudוַעֲנַןof YHWHיְהוָהwas over themעֲלֵיהֶםby dayיוֹמָםwhen they set outבְּנָסְעָםfrom the camp.מִן הַמַּחֲנֶה
And wheneverוַיְהִי בִּthe arkהָאָרֹןset out,נְסֹעַMosesמֹשֶׁהwould say,וַיֹּאמֶר“Rise up,קוּמָהYHWH,יְהוָהand let your enemiesוְ אֹיְבֶיךָbe scattered,יָפֻצוּand let those who hate youוְ מְשַׂנְאֶיךָfleeיָנֻסוּfrom before you.”מִפָּנֶיךָ
And when it rested,וּבְנֻחֹהhe would say,יֹאמַר“Return,שׁוּבָהYHWH,יְהוָהto the myriadsרִבְבוֹתof the thousandsאַלְפֵיof Israel.”יִשְׂרָאֵל
