And YHWHוַ יְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Mosesאֶל מֹשֶׁהin the wildernessבְמִדְבַּרof Sinai,סִינַיin the secondהַשֵּׁנִיתyearבַּשָּׁנָהafter they came outלְצֵאתָםof the landמֵאֶרֶץof Egypt,מִצְרַיִםin the firstהָרִאשׁוֹןmonth,בַּחֹדֶשׁsaying,לֵאמֹר
“Let the sonsוְ בְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלkeepיַעֲשׂוּthe Passoverאֶת הַפָּסַחat its appointed time.בְּמוֹעֲדוֹ
On the fourteenthבְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂרdayיוֹםof thisהַזֶּהmonth,בַּחֹדֶשׁat twilight,בֵּין הָעֲרְבַּיִםyou shall keepתַּעֲשׂוּitאֹתוֹat its appointed time;בְּמוֹעֲדוֹaccording to allכְּכָלits statutesחֻקֹּתָיוand according to allוּכְכָלits rulesמִשְׁפָּטָיוyou shall keepתַּעֲשׂוּit.”אֹתוֹ
So Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהspokeיְדַבֵּרto the sonsאֶל בְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלthat they should keepלַעֲשֹׂתthe Passover.הַפָּסַח
And they keptוַיַּעֲשׂוּthe Passoverאֶת הַפֶּסַחin the first month,בָּרִאשׁוֹןon the fourteenthבְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂרdayיוֹםof the month,לַחֹדֶשׁat twilight,בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִםin the wildernessבְּמִדְבַּרof Sinai;סִינָיaccording to allכְּכֹלthatאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses,אֶת מֹשֶׁהsoכֵּןthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלdid.עָשׂוּ
But there wereוַיְהִיmenאֲנָשִׁיםwhoאֲשֶׁרwereהָיוּuncleanטְמֵאִיםthrough a deadלְנֶפֶשׁhuman being,אָדָםand they could notוְלֹא יָכְלוּkeepלַעֲשֹׂתthe Passoverהַפֶּסַחon thatהַהוּאday;בַּיּוֹםand they cameוַיִּקְרְבוּbeforeלִפְנֵיMosesמֹשֶׁהand beforeוְלִפְנֵיAaronאַהֲרֹןon thatהַהוּאday.בַּיּוֹם
And thoseהָהֵמָּהmenהָאֲנָשִׁיםsaidוַיֹּאמְרוּto him,אֵלָיו“Weאֲנַחְנוּare uncleanטְמֵאִיםthrough a deadלְנֶפֶשׁhuman being.אָדָםWhyלָמָּהshould we be kept backנִגָּרַעfromלְבִלְתִּיpresentingהַקְרִבthe offeringאֶת קָרְבַּןof YHWHיְהוָהat its appointed timeבְּמֹעֲדוֹamongבְּתוֹךְthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israel?”יִשְׂרָאֵל
And Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהsaidיֹּאמֶרto them,אֲלֵהֶם“Wait,עִמְדוּand let me hearוְאֶשְׁמְעָהwhatמַהYHWHיְהוָהcommandsיְצַוֶּהconcerning you.”לָכֶם
And YHWHוַ יְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto the sonsאֶל בְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלsaying,לֵאמֹר‘If any manאִישׁ אִישׁ כִּיof youלָכֶםorאוֹof your generationsלְדֹרֹתֵיכֶםisיִהְיֶהuncleanטָמֵאthrough a corpse,לָנֶפֶשׁorאוֹon a distantרְחֹקָהׄjourney,בְדֶרֶךְhe shall still keepוְעָשָׂהthe Passoverפֶסַחto YHWH.לַיהוָה
In the secondהַשֵּׁנִיmonth,בַּחֹדֶשׁon the fourteenthבְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂרday,יוֹםat twilight,בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִםthey shall keepיַעֲשׂוּit;אֹתוֹwithעַלunleavened breadמַצּוֹתand bitter herbsוּמְרֹרִיםthey shall eat it.יֹאכְלֻהוּ
They shall notלֹאleaveיַשְׁאִירוּany of itמִמֶּנּוּuntilעַדmorning,בֹּקֶרand they shall notוְ לֹאbreakיִשְׁבְּרוּa boneעֶצֶםof it;בוֹaccording to allכְּכָלthe statuteחֻקַּתof the Passoverהַפֶּסַחthey shall keepיַעֲשׂוּit.אֹתוֹ
But the manוְהָאִישׁwhoאֲשֶׁרisהוּאcleanטָהוֹרand is notוּ לֹא הָיָהon a journey,בְדֶרֶךְand failsוְחָדַלto keepלַעֲשׂוֹתthe Passover,הַפֶּסַחthatהַהִואpersonהַנֶּפֶשׁshall be cut offוְנִכְרְתָהfrom his people,מֵעַמֶּיהָbecauseכִּיhe did notלֹאpresentהִקְרִיבthe offeringקָרְבַּןof YHWHיְהוָהat its appointed time;בְּמֹעֲדוֹthatהַהוּאmanהָאִישׁshall bearיִשָּׂאhis sin.חֶטְאוֹ
And ifוְכִיa resident alienגֵּרresidesיָגוּרamong youאִתְּכֶםand keepsוְעָשָׂהthe Passoverפֶסַחto YHWH,לַיהוָהaccording to the statuteכְּחֻקַּתof the Passoverהַפֶּסַחand according to its rule,וּכְמִשְׁפָּטוֹsoכֵּןhe shall keep it;יַעֲשֶׂהyou shall haveיִהְיֶה לָכֶםoneאַחַתstatute,חֻקָּהboth for the resident alienוְלַגֵּרand for the nativeוּלְאֶזְרַחof the land.’”הָאָרֶץ
And on the dayוּבְיוֹםthe dwellingאֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּןwas set up,הָקִיםthe cloudהֶעָנָןcoveredכִּסָּהthe dwelling,אֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּןthe tentלְאֹהֶלof the testimony;הָעֵדֻתand in the eveningוּבָעֶרֶבthere wasיִהְיֶהoverעַלthe dwellingהַמִּשְׁכָּןsomething like the appearanceכְּמַרְאֵהof fireאֵשׁuntilעַדmorning.בֹּקֶר
Soכֵּןit wasיִהְיֶהcontinually:תָמִידthe cloudהֶעָנָןcovered it,יְכַסֶּנּוּand the appearanceוּמַרְאֵהof fireאֵשׁby night.לָיְלָה
And wheneverוּלְפִיthe cloudהֶעָנָןwas liftedהֵעָלֹתfrom overמֵעַלthe tent,הָאֹהֶלafter thatוְאַחֲרֵי כֵןthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלwould set out;יִסְעוּand in the placeוּבִמְקוֹםwhereאֲשֶׁר שָׁםthe cloudהֶעָנָןsettled,יִשְׁכָּןthereשָׁםthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלwould camp.יַחֲנוּ
According to the commandעַל פִּיof YHWHיְהוָהthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלwould set out,יִסְעוּand according to the commandוְעַל פִּיof YHWHיְהוָהthey would camp;יַחֲנוּallכָּלthe daysיְמֵיthatאֲשֶׁרthe cloudהֶעָנָןdweltיִשְׁכֹּןoverעַלthe dwellingהַמִּשְׁכָּןthey would remain camped.יַחֲנוּ
And when the cloudוּ הֶעָנָןlingeredבְהַאֲרִיךְoverעַלthe dwellingהַמִּשְׁכָּןmanyרַבִּיםdays,יָמִיםthe sonsוְ בְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלwould keepשָׁמְרוּthe chargeאֶת מִשְׁמֶרֶתof YHWHיְהוָהand notוְלֹאset out.יִסָּעוּ
And sometimesוְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁרthe cloudהֶעָנָןwasיִהְיֶהa fewמִסְפָּרdaysיָמִיםoverעַלthe dwelling;הַמִּשְׁכָּןaccording to the commandעַל פִּיof YHWHיְהוָהthey would camp,יַחֲנוּand according to the commandוְעַל פִּיof YHWHיְהוָהthey would set out.יִסָּעוּ
And sometimesוְיֵשׁ אֲשֶׁרthe cloudהֶעָנָןwas thereיִהְיֶהfrom eveningמֵעֶרֶבuntilעַדmorning;בֹּקֶרand when the cloudוְ הֶעָנָןwas liftedנַעֲלָהin the morning,בַּבֹּקֶרthey would set out;וְנָסָעוּorאוֹa dayיוֹמָםand a night,וָלַיְלָהand when the cloudוְ הֶעָנָןwas lifted,נַעֲלָהthey would set out.וְנָסָעוּ
Orאוֹtwo days,יֹמַיִםorאוֹa month,חֹדֶשׁorאוֹa year,יָמִיםwhile the cloudבְּ הֶעָנָןlingeredהַאֲרִיךְoverעַלthe dwelling,הַמִּשְׁכָּןdwellingלִשְׁכֹּןon it,עָלָיוthe sonsבְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלwould remain campedיַחֲנוּand notוְלֹאset out;יִסָּעוּbut when it was lifted,וּבְהֵעָלֹתוֹthey would set out.יִסָּעוּ
According to the commandעַל פִּיof YHWHיְהוָהthey would camp,יַחֲנוּand according to the commandוְעַל פִּיof YHWHיְהוָהthey would set out;יִסָּעוּthey keptשָׁמָרוּthe chargeאֶת מִשְׁמֶרֶתof YHWH,יְהוָהaccording to the commandעַל פִּיof YHWHיְהוָהthroughבְּיַדMoses.מֹשֶׁה
