Of David.לְדָוִדDo notאַלget heatedתִּתְחַרbecause of evildoers;בַּמְּרֵעִיםdo notאַלbe enviousתְּקַנֵּאof those who doבְּעֹשֵׂיinjustice.עַוְלָה
Forכִּיlike the grassכֶחָצִירquicklyמְהֵרָהthey will be cut down,יִמָּלוּand like the greenוּכְיֶרֶקof the pastureדֶּשֶׁאthey will wither.יִבּוֹלוּן
Trustבְּטַחin YHWHבַּיהוָהand doוַעֲשֵׂהgood;טוֹבdwellשְׁכָןin the landאֶרֶץand feed onוּרְעֵהfaithfulness.אֱמוּנָה
And delight yourselfוְהִתְעַנַּגin YHWH,עַל יְהוָהand he will give youוְיִתֶּן לְךָthe requestsמִשְׁאֲלֹתof your heart.לִבֶּךָ
Commitגּוֹלto YHWHעַל יְהוָהyour way,דַּרְכֶּךָand trustוּבְטַחin him,עָלָיוand heוְהוּאwill act.יַעֲשֶׂה
And he will bring outוְהוֹצִיאlike the lightכָאוֹרyour righteousness,צִדְקֶךָand your justiceוּמִשְׁפָּטֶךָlike the noonday.כַּצָּהֳרָיִם
Be silentדּוֹםbefore YHWHלַיהוָהand wait longingly for him;וְהִתְחוֹלֵל לוֹdo notאַלget heatedתִּתְחַרbecause of the one who prospersבְּמַצְלִיחַin his way,דַּרְכּוֹbecause of the manבְּאִישׁwho carries outעֹשֶׂהplans.מְזִמּוֹת
Let goהֶרֶףof angerמֵאַףand abandonוַעֲזֹבfury;חֵמָהdo notאַלget heated;תִּתְחַרit leads onlyאַךְto doing evil.לְהָרֵעַ
Forכִּיevildoersמְרֵעִיםwill be cut off,יִכָּרֵתוּןbut those who wait forוְקֹוֵיYHWH,יְהוָהtheyהֵמָּהwill possessיִירְשׁוּthe land.אָרֶץ
And yet a little while,וְעוֹד מְעַטand there is noוְאֵיןwicked one;רָשָׁעyou will look closelyוְהִתְבּוֹנַנְתָּat his place,עַל מְקוֹמוֹand he will not be there.וְאֵינֶנּוּ
But the humbleוַעֲנָוִיםwill possessיִירְשׁוּthe landאָרֶץand delight themselvesוְהִתְעַנְּגוּin abundanceעַל רֹבof peace.שָׁלוֹם
The wickedרָשָׁעplotsזֹמֵםagainst the righteousלַצַּדִּיקand gnashesוְחֹרֵקat himעָלָיוhis teeth.שִׁנָּיו
Adonaiאֲדֹנָיlaughsיִשְׂחַקat him,לוֹforכִּיhe seesרָאָהthatכִּיhis dayיוֹמוֹis coming.יָבֹא
The swordחֶרֶבthe wickedרְשָׁעִיםhave drawn,פָּתְחוּand they have bentוְדָרְכוּtheir bowקַשְׁתָּםto bring downלְהַפִּילthe afflictedעָנִיand the needy,וְאֶבְיוֹןto butcherלִטְבוֹחַthe uprightיִשְׁרֵיin their way.דָרֶךְ
Their swordחַרְבָּםwill enterתָּבוֹאinto their own heart,בְלִבָּםand their bowsוְקַשְּׁתוֹתָםwill be broken.תִּשָּׁבַרְנָה
Betterטוֹבis the littleמְעַטof the righteousלַצַּדִּיקthan the abundanceמֵהֲמוֹןof manyרַבִּיםwicked.רְשָׁעִים
Forכִּיthe armsזְרוֹעוֹתof the wickedרְשָׁעִיםwill be broken,תִּשָּׁבַרְנָהbut the one who sustainsוְסוֹמֵךְthe righteousצַדִּיקִיםis YHWH.יְהוָה
YHWHיְהוָהknowsיוֹדֵעַthe daysיְמֵיof the blameless,תְמִימִםand their inheritanceוְנַחֲלָתָםwill beתִּהְיֶהforever.לְעוֹלָם
They will notלֹאbe ashamedיֵבֹשׁוּin the timeבְּעֵתof evil,רָעָהand in the daysוּבִימֵיof famineרְעָבוֹןthey will be satisfied.יִשְׂבָּעוּ
Forכִּיthe wickedרְשָׁעִיםwill perish,יֹאבֵדוּand the enemiesוְאֹיְבֵיof YHWH,יְהוָהlike what is preciousכִּיקַרin the meadows,כָּרִיםare spent;כָּלוּin smokeבֶעָשָׁןthey are spent.כָּלוּ
The wickedרָשָׁעborrowsלֹוֶהand does notוְלֹאrepay,יְשַׁלֵּםbut the righteousוְצַדִּיקshows favorחוֹנֵןand gives.וְנוֹתֵן
Forכִּיthose blessed by himמְבֹרָכָיוwill possessיִירְשׁוּthe land,אָרֶץand those cursed by himוּמְקֻלָּלָיוwill be cut off.יִכָּרֵתוּ
By YHWHמֵיְהוָהthe stepsמִצְעֲדֵיof a manגֶבֶרare made firm,כּוֹנָנוּand in his wayוְדַרְכּוֹhe delights.יֶחְפָּץ
Whenכִּיhe falls,יִפֹּלhe will notלֹאbe hurled down,יוּטָלforכִּיYHWHיְהוָהsustainsסוֹמֵךְhis hand.יָדוֹ
YoungנַעַרI was,הָיִיתִיand alsoגַּםI have grown old,זָקַנְתִּיand I have notוְלֹאseenרָאִיתִיa righteous manצַדִּיקabandonedנֶעֱזָבor his offspringוְזַרְעוֹseekingמְבַקֶּשׁbread.לָחֶם
All the dayכָּל הַיּוֹםhe shows favorחוֹנֵןand lends,וּמַלְוֶהand his offspringוְזַרְעוֹis for a blessing.לִבְרָכָה
Turn awayסוּרfrom evilמֵרָעand doוַעֲשֵׂהgood,טוֹבand dwellוּשְׁכֹןforever.לְעוֹלָם
ForכִּיYHWHיְהוָהlovesאֹהֵבjusticeמִשְׁפָּטand will notוְלֹאabandonיַעֲזֹבhis faithful ones;אֶת חֲסִידָיוforeverלְעוֹלָםthey are kept,נִשְׁמָרוּbut the offspringוְזֶרַעof the wickedרְשָׁעִיםis cut off.נִכְרָת
The righteousצַדִּיקִיםwill possessיִירְשׁוּthe landאָרֶץand dwellוְיִשְׁכְּנוּforeverלָעַדupon it.עָלֶיהָ
The mouthפִּיof the righteousצַדִּיקmeditatesיֶהְגֶּהwisdom,חָכְמָהand his tongueוּלְשׁוֹנוֹspeaksתְּדַבֵּרjustice.מִשְׁפָּט
The instructionתּוֹרַתof his Elohimאֱלֹהָיוis in his heart;בְּלִבּוֹhis stepsאֲשֻׁרָיוwill notלֹאslip.תִמְעַד
The wickedרָשָׁעwatchesצוֹפֶהthe righteousלַצַּדִּיקand seeksוּמְבַקֵּשׁto put him to death.לַהֲמִיתוֹ
YHWHיְהוָהwill notלֹאabandon himיַעַזְבֶנּוּinto his hand,בְיָדוֹnorוְלֹאdeclare him guiltyיַרְשִׁיעֶנּוּwhen he is judged.בְּהִשָּׁפְטוֹ
Wait forקַוֵּהYHWHאֶל יְהוָהand keepוּשְׁמֹרhis way,דַּרְכּוֹand he will exalt youוִירוֹמִמְךָto possessלָרֶשֶׁתthe land;אָרֶץwhen the wickedרְשָׁעִיםare cut offבְּהִכָּרֵתyou will see it.תִּרְאֶה
I have seenרָאִיתִיa fearsomeעָרִיץwicked man,רָשָׁעspreading himself outוּמִתְעָרֶהlike a luxuriant treeכְּ רַעֲנָןin its native soil.אֶזְרָח
And he passed away,וַיַּעֲבֹרand look,וְהִנֵּהhe was no more;אֵינֶנּוּand I sought him,וָאֲבַקְשֵׁהוּbut he was notוְלֹאfound.נִמְצָא
Markשְׁמָרthe blamelessתָּםand seeוּרְאֵהthe upright,יָשָׁרforכִּיthere is a futureאַחֲרִיתfor the manלְאִישׁof peace.שָׁלוֹם
But transgressorsוּפֹשְׁעִיםare destroyedנִשְׁמְדוּtogether;יַחְדָּוthe futureאַחֲרִיתof the wickedרְשָׁעִיםis cut off.נִכְרָתָה
And the salvationוּתְשׁוּעַתof the righteousצַדִּיקִיםis from YHWH,מֵיְהוָהtheir strongholdמָעוּזָּםin the timeבְּעֵתof distress.צָרָה
And YHWHוַ יְהוָהhelped themיַּעְזְרֵםand brought them to safety;וַיְפַלְּטֵםhe brings them to safetyיְפַלְּטֵםfrom the wickedמֵרְשָׁעִיםand saves them,וְיוֹשִׁיעֵםforכִּיthey have taken refugeחָסוּin him.בוֹ
