A psalmמִזְמוֹרof Asaph.לְאָסָףEl,אֵלElohim,אֱלֹהִיםYHWH,יְהוָהhas spokenדִּבֶּרand calledוַיִּקְרָאthe earthאָרֶץfrom the risingמִמִּזְרַחof the sunשֶׁמֶשׁtoעַדits setting.מְבֹאוֹ
From Zion,מִצִּיּוֹןthe perfectionמִכְלַלof beauty,יֹפִיElohimאֱלֹהִיםhas shone forth.הוֹפִיעַ
Our Elohimאֱלֹהֵינוּcomesיָבֹאand will notוְאַלkeep silent;יֶחֱרַשׁfireאֵשׁbefore himלְפָנָיוdevours,תֹּאכֵלand around himוּסְבִיבָיוit stormsנִשְׂעֲרָהgreatly.מְאֹד
He callsיִקְרָאto the heavensאֶל הַשָּׁמַיִםaboveמֵעָלand to the earth,וְאֶל הָאָרֶץto judgeלָדִיןhis people:עַמּוֹ
“Gatherאִסְפוּto meלִיmy faithful ones,חֲסִידָיthose who madeכֹּרְתֵיmy covenantבְרִיתִיby sacrifice.”עֲלֵי זָבַח
And the heavensוַ שָׁמַיִםdeclareיַּגִּידוּhis righteousness,צִדְקוֹforכִּיElohimאֱלֹהִיםhimself isהוּאjudge.שֹׁפֵטSelah.סֶלָה
“Hear,שִׁמְעָהmy people,עַמִּיand I will speak;וַאֲדַבֵּרָהIsrael,יִשְׂרָאֵלand I will testifyוְאָעִידָהagainst you;בָּךְIאָנֹכִיam Elohim,אֱלֹהִיםyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֶיךָ
Notלֹאfor your sacrificesעַל זְבָחֶיךָdo I rebuke you,אוֹכִיחֶךָand your burnt offeringsוְעוֹלֹתֶיךָare before meלְנֶגְדִּיcontinually.תָמִיד
I will notלֹאtakeאֶקַּחfrom your houseמִבֵּיתְךָa young bull,פָרfrom your foldsמִמִּכְלְאֹתֶיךָmale goats.עַתּוּדִים
Forכִּיmineלִיis everyכָלanimalחַיְתוֹof the forest,יָעַרthe livestockבְּהֵמוֹתon a thousand hills.בְּהַרְרֵי אָלֶף
I knowיָדַעְתִּיeveryכָּלbirdעוֹףof the mountains,הָרִיםand what movesוְזִיזin the fieldשָׂדַיis with me.עִמָּדִי
IfאִםI were hungry,אֶרְעַבI would notלֹאtellאֹמַרyou,לָךְforכִּיmineלִיis the worldתֵבֵלand what fills it.וּמְלֹאָהּ
Do I eatהַאוֹכַלthe fleshבְּשַׂרof bullsאַבִּירִיםor drinkוְ אֶשְׁתֶּהthe bloodדַםof male goats?עַתּוּדִים
Sacrificeזְבַחto Elohimלֵאלֹהִיםthanksgiving,תּוֹדָהand payוְשַׁלֵּםto Elyonלְעֶלְיוֹןyour vows,נְדָרֶיךָ
and call on meוּקְרָאֵנִיin the dayבְּיוֹםof distress;צָרָהI will deliver you,אֲחַלֶּצְךָand you will honor me.”וּתְכַבְּדֵנִי
But to the wickedוְלָרָשָׁעElohimאֱלֹהִיםsays,אָמַר“What is it to youמַה לְּךָto recountלְסַפֵּרmy statutesחֻקָּיor to takeוַתִּשָּׂאmy covenantבְרִיתִיon your mouth?עֲלֵי פִיךָ
For youוְאַתָּהhateשָׂנֵאתָcorrection,מוּסָרand you castוַתַּשְׁלֵךְmy wordsדְּבָרַיbehind you.אַחֲרֶיךָ
Whenאִםyou seeרָאִיתָa thief,גַנָּבyou are pleasedוַתִּרֶץwith him,עִמּוֹand withוְעִםadulterersמְנָאֲפִיםis your portion.חֶלְקֶךָ
Your mouthפִּיךָyou let looseשָׁלַחְתָּfor evil,בְרָעָהand your tongueוּלְשׁוֹנְךָweavesתַּצְמִידdeceit.מִרְמָה
You sitתֵּשֵׁבagainst your brotherבְּאָחִיךָand speak;תְדַבֵּרagainst the sonבְּבֶןof your motherאִמְּךָyou putתִּתֶּןa stain.דֹּפִי
These thingsאֵלֶּהyou have done,עָשִׂיתָand I kept silent;וְהֶחֱרַשְׁתִּיyou thoughtדִּמִּיתָthat I would surely beהֱיוֹת אֶהְיֶהlike you.כָמוֹךָI will rebuke youאוֹכִיחֲךָand lay it outוְאֶעֶרְכָהbefore your eyes.לְעֵינֶיךָ
Understandבִּינוּnowנָאthis,זֹאתyou who forgetשֹׁכְחֵיEloah,אֱלוֹהַּlestפֶּןI tear you apartאֶטְרֹףand there be noneוְאֵיןto deliver.מַצִּיל
The one who sacrificesזֹבֵחַthanksgivingתּוֹדָהhonors me,יְכַבְּדָנְנִיand to the one who setsוְשָׂםhis wayדֶּרֶךְI will showאַרְאֶנּוּthe salvationבְּיֵשַׁעof Elohim.”אֱלֹהִים
