And he showed meוַיַּרְאֵנִיJoshuaיְהוֹשֻׁעַthe highהַגָּדוֹלpriestהַכֹּהֵןstandingעֹמֵדbeforeלִפְנֵיthe angelמַלְאַךְof YHWH,יְהוָהand the Satanוְהַשָּׂטָןstandingעֹמֵדatעַלhis rightיְמִינוֹto accuse him.לְשִׂטְנוֹ
And YHWHוַ יְהוָהsaidיֹּאמֶרtoאֶלthe Satan,הַשָּׂטָן“May YHWHיְהוָהrebukeיִגְעַרyou,בְּךָSatan;הַשָּׂטָןand may YHWHוְ יְהוָהrebukeיִגְעַרyou,בְּךָhe who has chosenהַבֹּחֵרJerusalem.בִּירוּשָׁלִָםIs notהֲלוֹאthisזֶהa brandאוּדsnatchedמֻצָּלfrom the fire?”מֵאֵשׁ
And Joshuaוִיהוֹשֻׁעַwasהָיָהclothedלָבֻשׁin filthyצוֹאִיםgarments,בְּגָדִיםand standingוְעֹמֵדbeforeלִפְנֵיthe angel.הַמַּלְאָךְ
And he answeredוַיַּעַןand saidוַיֹּאמֶרtoאֶלthose standingהָעֹמְדִיםbefore him,לְפָנָיוsaying,לֵאמֹר“Removeהָסִירוּthe filthyהַצֹּאִיםgarmentsהַבְּגָדִיםfrom him.”מֵעָלָיוAnd he saidוַיֹּאמֶרto him,אֵלָיו“See,רְאֵהI have taken awayהֶעֱבַרְתִּיfrom youמֵעָלֶיךָyour iniquity,עֲוֺנֶךָand I will clotheוְהַלְבֵּשׁyouאֹתְךָin festal robes.”מַחֲלָצוֹת
And I said,וָאֹמַר“Let them putיָשִׂימוּa cleanטָהוֹרturbanצָנִיףonעַלhis head.”רֹאשׁוֹAnd they putוַיָּשִׂימוּthe cleanהַטָּהוֹרturbanהַצָּנִיףonעַלhis headרֹאשׁוֹand clothed himוַיַּלְבִּשֻׁהוּwith garments;בְּגָדִיםand the angelוּמַלְאַךְof YHWHיְהוָהwas standing.עֹמֵד
And the angelוַ מַלְאַךְof YHWHיְהוָהsolemnly declaredיָּעַדto Joshua,בִּיהוֹשֻׁעַsaying,לֵאמֹר
“ThusכֹּהsaysאָמַרYHWHיְהוָהTsevaot:צְבָאוֹתIfאִםyou walkתֵּלֵךְin my ways,בִּדְרָכַיand ifוְאִםyou keepתִשְׁמֹרmy charge,מִשְׁמַרְתִּיthen youוְ אַתָּהalsoגַםwill judgeתָּדִיןmy houseבֵּיתִיand alsoוְגַםwill keepתִּשְׁמֹרmy courts;חֲצֵרָיand I will giveוְנָתַתִּיyouלְךָaccessמַהְלְכִיםamongבֵּיןtheseהָאֵלֶּהwho are standing here.הָעֹמְדִים
Hear,שְׁמַעplease,נָאJoshuaיְהוֹשֻׁעַthe highהַגָּדוֹלpriest,הַכֹּהֵןyouאַתָּהand your companionsוְרֵעֶיךָwho sitהַיֹּשְׁבִיםbefore you,לְפָנֶיךָforכִּיtheyהֵמָּהare menאַנְשֵׁיof wonder;מוֹפֵתforכִּיlook,הִנְIנִיam bringingמֵבִיאmy servant,עַבְדִּיthe sprout.צֶמַח
Forכִּיlook,הִנֵּהthe stoneהָאֶבֶןthatאֲשֶׁרI have setנָתַתִּיbeforeלִפְנֵיJoshua:יְהוֹשֻׁעַonעַלoneאַחַתstoneאֶבֶןsevenשִׁבְעָהeyes;עֵינָיִםlook,הִנְIנִיam engravingמְפַתֵּחַits engraving,פִּתֻּחָהּdeclaresנְאֻםYHWHיְהוָהTsevaot,צְבָאוֹתand I will removeוּמַשְׁתִּיthe iniquityעֲוֺןof thatהַהִיאlandהָאָרֶץin oneאֶחָדday.בְּיוֹם
On that day,בַּיּוֹם הַהוּאdeclaresנְאֻםYHWHיְהוָהTsevaot,צְבָאוֹתyou will inviteתִּקְרְאוּeachאִישׁhis neighborלְרֵעֵהוּunderאֶל תַּחַתthe vineגֶּפֶןand underוְאֶל תַּחַתthe fig tree.”תְּאֵנָה
