YHWH
The personal name of the God of Israel, written in Hebrew with four letters, Y-H-W-H, without vowels. Out of reverence Jews stopped pronouncing it and read "Adonai" (Lord), so many Bibles put "the LORD" or "Jehovah". This translation keeps the four letters. The name is related to the verb "to be" (Exodus 3:14-15). He is not a god other than Elohim: "YHWH Elohim" is the same Creator God, called by his name.

1 Kings 8:1-11
1Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, all the heads of the tribes, the chiefs of the fathers’ houses of the sons of Israel, to King Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of YHWH from the city of David, that is Zion. 2And all the men of Israel assembled to King Solomon in the month of Ethanim, at the feast, that is the seventh month. 3And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests carried the ark. 4And they brought up the ark of YHWH and the tent of meeting and all the holy utensils that were in the tent; the priests and the Levites brought them up. 5And King Solomon and all the community of Israel who had gathered to him were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and cattle that could not be counted or numbered for multitude. 6And the priests brought the ark of the covenant of YHWH to its place, to the inner sanctuary of the house, to the Most Holy Place, to beneath the wings of the cherubim. 7For the cherubim were spreading their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered over the ark and over its poles from above. 8And the poles were so long that the ends of the poles were seen from the Holy Place in front of the inner sanctuary, but they were not seen outside; and they are there to this day. 9There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone that Moses had placed there at Horeb, where YHWH made a covenant with the sons of Israel when they came out of the land of Egypt. 10And it happened, when the priests came out of the Holy Place, that the cloud filled the house of YHWH, 11and the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of YHWH filled the house of YHWH.
2Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the chiefs of the fathers’ houses of the sons of Israel, in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of YHWH from the city of David, which is Zion. 3All the men of Israel assembled before the king at the feast, that is, the seventh month. 4All the elders of Israel came, and the Levites carried the ark. 5They brought up the ark, the tent of meeting, and all the holy utensils that were in the tent; the priests, the Levites, brought them up. 6King Solomon and all the community of Israel, who had gathered to him, were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and cattle that could not be counted or numbered for multitude. 7The priests brought the ark of the covenant of YHWH to its place, to the inner sanctuary of the house, to the Most Holy Place, under the wings of the cherubim. 8The cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and its poles from above. 9The poles were long, so that the ends of the poles were seen from the ark, in front of the inner sanctuary, but they were not seen outside; and it has been there to this day. 10There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets that Moses put there at Horeb, where YHWH made a covenant with the sons of Israel when they came out of Egypt. 11And it happened, when the priests came out of the Holy Place— for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without keeping the divisions— 12and the Levites, the singers, all of them, Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and their brothers, clothed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps, and lyres, were standing east of the altar, and with them a hundred and twenty priests sounding the trumpets; 13and it happened, as one, that the trumpeters and the singers were to make one voice heard to praise and to give thanks to YHWH; and when they raised their voice with the trumpets and with cymbals and with instruments of song, and praised YHWH, “For he is good, for his loyal love is forever,” then the house was filled with a cloud, the house of YHWH, 14and the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of YHWH had filled the house of Elohim.
