Ekron
Today: Tel Miqne (Ekron) ruins, Israel
A Philistine city on the plain, about 22 miles (35 km) west of Jerusalem.
The ark was taken there and the people were afraid (1 Sam 5:10). King Ahaziah sent to ask its god instead of the God of Israel (2 Kgs 1:2).
The context
9And it happened, after they had moved it, that the hand of YHWH was against the city with a very great confusion; and he struck the men of the city, from the small to the great, and tumors broke out on them.

11So they sent and gathered all the lords of the Philistines and said, “Send away the ark of the Elohim of Israel, and let it return to its place, so that it does not put me to death, and my people.” For there was a deathly confusion throughout the city; the hand of Elohim was very heavy there.
