Iἐγὼtherefore,οὖνthe prisonerὁ δέσμιοςinἐνthe Lord,κυρίῳurgeΠαρακαλῶyouὑμᾶςto walkπεριπατῆσαιin a manner worthyἀξίωςof the callingτῆς κλήσεωςwith whichἧςyou were called,ἐκλήθητε
withμετὰallπάσηςhumilityταπεινοφροσύνηςandκαὶgentleness,πραΰτητοςwithμετὰpatience,μακροθυμίαςbearing withἀνεχόμενοιone anotherἀλλήλωνinἐνlove,ἀγάπῃ
making every effortσπουδάζοντεςto keepτηρεῖνthe unityτὴν ἑνότηταof the Spiritτοῦ πνεύματοςinἐνthe bondτῷ συνδέσμῳof peace:τῆς εἰρήνης
oneἓνbodyσῶμαandκαὶoneἓνSpirit,πνεῦμαjust asκαθὼςalsoκαὶyou were calledἐκλήθητεinἐνoneμιᾷhopeἐλπίδιof your calling;τῆς κλήσεως ὑμῶν
oneεἷςLord,κύριοςoneμίαfaith,πίστιςoneἓνimmersion;βάπτισμα
oneεἷςGodθεὸςandκαὶFatherπατὴρof all,πάντωνwho isὁoverἐπὶallπάντωνandκαὶthroughδιὰallπάντωνandκαὶinἐνall.πᾶσιν
Butδὲto each oneἙνὶ ἑκάστῳof usἡμῶνgraceἡ χάριςwas givenἐδόθηaccording toκατὰthe measureτὸ μέτρονof the giftτῆς δωρεᾶςof the Messiah.τοῦ Χριστοῦ
Thereforeδιὸit says:λέγειHaving ascendedἈναβὰςonεἰςhigh,ὕψοςhe led captiveᾐχμαλώτευσενcaptivity;αἰχμαλωσίανhe gaveἔδωκενgiftsδόματαto men.τοῖς ἀνθρώποις
Nowδὲthisτὸ“He ascended,”Ἀνέβηwhatτίis itἐστινbutεἰ μὴthatὅτιhe alsoκαὶdescendedκατέβηintoεἰςthe lowerτὰ κατώτεραpartsμέρηof the earth?τῆς γῆς
The one whoὁdescendedκαταβὰςisἐστινhimselfαὐτόςalsoκαὶthe one whoὁascendedἀναβὰςfar aboveὑπεράνωallπάντωνthe heavens,τῶν οὐρανῶνso thatἵναhe might fillπληρώσῃall things.τὰ πάντα
Andκαὶhe himselfαὐτὸςgaveἔδωκενsome asτοὺςapostles,ἀποστόλουςsome asτοὺςprophets,προφήταςsome asτοὺςevangelists,εὐαγγελιστάςsome asτοὺςshepherdsποιμέναςandκαὶteachers,διδασκάλους
forπρὸςthe equippingτὸν καταρτισμὸνof the saintsτῶν ἁγίωνforεἰςthe workἔργονof service,διακονίαςforεἰςthe building upοἰκοδομὴνof the bodyτοῦ σώματοςof the Messiah,τοῦ Χριστοῦ
untilμέχριweοἱallπάντεςattainκαταντήσωμενtoεἰςthe unityτὴν ἑνότηταof the faithτῆς πίστεωςandκαὶof the knowledgeτῆς ἐπιγνώσεωςof the Sonτοῦ υἱοῦof God,τοῦ θεοῦtoεἰςa matureτέλειονman,ἄνδραtoεἰςthe measureμέτρονof the statureἡλικίαςof the fullnessτοῦ πληρώματοςof the Messiah,τοῦ Χριστοῦ
so thatἵναwe may no longer beμηκέτι ὦμενchildren,νήπιοιtossed by wavesκλυδωνιζόμενοιandκαὶcarried aboutπεριφερόμενοιby everyπαντὶwindἀνέμῳof teachingτῆς διδασκαλίαςbyἐνthe trickeryτῇ κυβείᾳof men,τῶν ἀνθρώπωνbyἐνcraftinessπανουργίᾳinπρὸςthe schemingτὴν μεθοδείανof error;τῆς πλάνης
butδὲspeaking the truthἀληθεύοντεςinἐνlove,ἀγάπῃlet us growαὐξήσωμενin all thingsτὰ πάνταintoεἰςhimαὐτὸνwhoὅςisἐστινthe head,ἡ κεφαλήthe Messiah,Χριστός
fromἐξwhomοὗthe wholeπᾶνbody,τὸ σῶμαjoined togetherσυναρμολογούμενονandκαὶheld togetherσυμβιβαζόμενονbyδιὰeveryπάσηςjointἁφῆςof supply,τῆς ἐπιχορηγίαςaccording toκατ’the workingἐνέργειανinἐνthe measureμέτρῳof eachἑνὸς ἑκάστουpart,μέρουςmakesποιεῖταιthe growthτὴν αὔξησινof the bodyτοῦ σώματοςforεἰςits ownἑαυτοῦbuilding upοἰκοδομὴνinἐνlove.ἀγάπῃ
ThisΤοῦτοthereforeοὖνI sayλέγωandκαὶtestifyμαρτύρομαιinἐνthe Lord:κυρίῳthat youὑμᾶςno longerμηκέτιwalkπεριπατεῖνasκαθὼςthe nationsτὰ ἔθνηalsoκαὶwalk,περιπατεῖinἐνthe futilityματαιότητιof their mind,τοῦ νοὸς αὐτῶν
beingὄντεςdarkenedἐσκοτωμένοιin understanding,τῇ διανοίᾳalienatedἀπηλλοτριωμένοιfrom the lifeτῆς ζωῆςof Godτοῦ θεοῦbecause ofδιὰthe ignoranceτὴν ἄγνοιανthat isτὴν οὖσανinἐνthem,αὐτοῖςbecause ofδιὰthe hardnessτὴν πώρωσινof their heart;τῆς καρδίας αὐτῶν
who,οἵτινεςhaving become callous,ἀπηλγηκότεςgave overπαρέδωκανthemselvesἑαυτοὺςto debaucheryτῇ ἀσελγείᾳforεἰςthe practiceἐργασίανof everyπάσηςimpurityἀκαθαρσίαςwithἐνgreed.πλεονεξίᾳ
Butδὲyouὑμεῖςdid notοὐχlearnἐμάθετεthe Messiahτὸν Χριστόνin this way,οὕτως
ifεἴindeedγεyou heardἠκούσατεhimαὐτὸνandκαὶwere taughtἐδιδάχθητεinἐνhim,αὐτῷasκαθώςtruthἀλήθειαisἐστινinἐνJesus,τῷ Ἰησοῦ
thatyouὑμᾶςput off,ἀποθέσθαιaccording toκατὰyour formerτὴν προτέρανway of life,ἀναστροφὴνthe oldτὸν παλαιὸνmanἄνθρωπονwhoτὸνis being corruptedφθειρόμενονaccording toκατὰthe desiresτὰς ἐπιθυμίαςof deceit,τῆς ἀπάτης
andδὲbe renewedἀνανεοῦσθαιin the spiritτῷ πνεύματιof your mind,τοῦ νοὸς ὑμῶν
andκαὶput onἐνδύσασθαιthe newτὸν καινὸνmanἄνθρωπονwhoτὸνhas been createdκτισθένταaccording toκατὰGodθεὸνinἐνrighteousnessδικαιοσύνῃandκαὶholinessὁσιότητιof the truth.τῆς ἀληθείας
Therefore,Διὸhaving put offἀποθέμενοιfalsehood,τὸ ψεῦδοςspeakλαλεῖτεtruth,ἀλήθειανeach oneἕκαστοςwithμετὰhis neighbor,τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦbecauseὅτιwe areἐσμὲνmembersμέληof one another.ἀλλήλων
Be angryὀργίζεσθεandκαὶdo notμὴsin;ἁμαρτάνετεdo not letμὴthe sunὁ ἥλιοςgo downἐπιδυέτωonἐπὶyour anger,παροργισμῷ ὑμῶν
norμηδὲgiveδίδοτεa placeτόπονto the devil.τῷ διαβόλῳ
Let the one who stealsὁ κλέπτωνno longerμηκέτιsteal,κλεπτέτωbutδὲratherμᾶλλονlet him labor,κοπιάτωworkingἐργαζόμενοςwith his ownταῖς ἰδίαιςhandsχερσὶνwhat is good,τὸ ἀγαθόνso thatἵναhe may have somethingἔχῃto shareμεταδιδόναιwith the one whoτῷhasἔχοντιneed.χρείαν
Let noπᾶς μὴcorruptσαπρὸςwordλόγοςcome outἐκπορευέσθωofἐκyour mouth,τοῦ στόματος ὑμῶνbutἀλλὰonly whateverεἴ τιςisgoodἀγαθὸςforπρὸςbuilding upοἰκοδομὴνaccording to the need,τῆς χρείαςso thatἵναit may giveδῷgraceχάρινto those who hear.τοῖς ἀκούουσιν
Andκαὶdo notμὴgrieveλυπεῖτεthe Holyτὸ ἅγιονSpiritτὸ πνεῦμαof God,τοῦ θεοῦinἐνwhomᾧyou were sealedἐσφραγίσθητεforεἰςthe dayἡμέρανof redemption.ἀπολυτρώσεως
Let allπᾶσαbitternessπικρίαandκαὶrageθυμὸςandκαὶwrathὀργὴandκαὶshoutingκραυγὴandκαὶslanderβλασφημίαbe removedἀρθήτωfromἀφ’you,ὑμῶνalong withσὺνallπάσῃmalice.κακίᾳ
Beγίνεσθεkindχρηστοίtoεἰςone another,ἀλλήλουςtenderhearted,εὔσπλαγχνοιforgivingχαριζόμενοιone another,ἑαυτοῖςjust asκαθὼςalsoκαὶGodὁ θεὸςinἐνthe MessiahΧριστῷforgaveἐχαρίσατοyou.ὑμῖν
