And in the firstוּבִ אַחַתyearשְׁנַתof Cyrusלְכוֹרֶשׁkingמֶלֶךְof Persia,פָּרַסthatלִthe wordדְּבַרof YHWHיְהוָהfrom the mouthמִפִּיof Jeremiahיִרְמְיָהmight be fulfilled,כְלוֹתYHWHיְהוָהstirred upהֵעִירthe spiritרוּחַof Cyrusכֹּרֶשׁkingמֶלֶךְof Persia,פָּרַסand he madeוַa proclamationקוֹלpassיַּעֲבֶרthroughout allבְּכָלhis kingdom,מַלְכוּתוֹand alsoוְגַםin writing,בְּמִכְתָּבsaying:לֵאמֹר
“ThusכֹּהsaysאָמַרCyrusכֹּרֶשׁkingמֶלֶךְof Persia:פָּרַס‘Allכֹּלthe kingdomsמַמְלְכוֹתof the earthהָאָרֶץYHWH,יְהוָהthe Elohimאֱלֹהֵיof the heavens,הַשָּׁמָיִםhas givenנָתַןto me,לִיand heוְהוּאhas chargedפָקַדmeעָלַיto buildלִבְנוֹתhimלוֹa houseבַיִתin Jerusalem,בִּירוּשָׁלִַםwhichאֲשֶׁרis in Judah.בִּיהוּדָה
Whoeverמִיamong youבָכֶםis of allמִכָּלhis people,עַמּוֹmay his Elohimאֱלֹהָיוbeיְהִיwith him,עִמּוֹand let him go upוְיַעַלto Jerusalem,לִירוּשָׁלִַםwhichאֲשֶׁרis in Judah,בִּיהוּדָהand buildוְיִבֶןthe houseבֵּיתof YHWH,יְהוָהthe Elohimאֱלֹהֵיof Israel;יִשְׂרָאֵלheהוּאis the Elohimהָאֱלֹהִיםwhoאֲשֶׁרis in Jerusalem.בִּירוּשָׁלִָם
And everyoneוְכָלwho remains,הַנִּשְׁאָרin anyמִכָּלof the placesהַמְּקֹמוֹתwhereאֲשֶׁר שָׁםhe resides as an alien,הוּא גָרlet the menאַנְשֵׁיof his placeמְקֹמוֹsupport himיְנַשְּׂאוּהוּwith silver,בְּכֶסֶףwith gold,וּבְזָהָבwith goods,וּבִרְכוּשׁand with livestock,וּבִבְהֵמָהbesidesעִםthe freewill offeringהַנְּדָבָהfor the houseלְבֵיתof Elohimהָאֱלֹהִיםwhichאֲשֶׁרis in Jerusalem.’”בִּירוּשָׁלִָם
Thenוַthe headsרָאשֵׁיof the fathers’ housesהָאָבוֹתof Judahלִיהוּדָהand Benjaminוּבִנְיָמִןrose up,יָּקוּמוּand the priestsוְהַכֹּהֲנִיםand the Levites,וְהַלְוִיִּםeveryoneלְכֹלwhose spiritאֶת רוּחוֹElohimהָאֱלֹהִיםhad stirred up,הֵעִירto go upלַעֲלוֹתto buildלִבְנוֹתthe houseאֶת בֵּיתof YHWHיְהוָהwhichאֲשֶׁרis in Jerusalem.בִּירוּשָׁלִָם
And allוְכָלthose around themסְבִיבֹתֵיהֶםstrengthenedחִזְּקוּtheir handsבִידֵיהֶםwith utensilsבִּכְלֵיof silver,כֶסֶףwith gold,בַּזָּהָבwith goods,בָּרְכוּשׁwith livestock,וּבַבְּהֵמָהand with precious things,וּבַמִּגְדָּנוֹתbesidesלְבַד עַלallכָּלthat was freely offered.הִתְנַדֵּב
And KingוְהַמֶּלֶךְCyrusכּוֹרֶשׁbrought outהוֹצִיאthe utensilsאֶת כְּלֵיof the houseבֵיתof YHWHיְהוָהthatאֲשֶׁרNebuchadnezzarנְבוּכַדְנֶצַּרhad brought outהוֹצִיאfrom Jerusalemמִירוּשָׁלִַםand had put themוַיִּתְּנֵםin the houseבְּבֵיתof his god.אֱלֹהָיו
Cyrusכּוֹרֶשׁkingמֶלֶךְof Persiaפָּרַסbrought them outוַיּוֹצִיאֵםby the handעַל יַדof Mithredathמִתְרְדָתthe treasurer,הַגִּזְבָּרand he counted them outוַיִּסְפְּרֵםto Sheshbazzarלְשֵׁשְׁבַּצַּרthe chiefהַנָּשִׂיאof Judah.לִיהוּדָה
And thisוְאֵלֶּהis their number:מִסְפָּרָםthirtyשְׁלֹשִׁיםbasinsאֲגַרְטְלֵיof gold,זָהָבa thousandאָלֶףbasinsאֲגַרְטְלֵיof silver,כֶסֶףtwenty-nineתִּשְׁעָה וְעֶשְׂרִיםknives,מַחֲלָפִים
thirtyשְׁלֹשִׁיםbowlsכְּפוֹרֵיof gold,זָהָבfour hundredאַרְבַּע מֵאוֹתand tenוַעֲשָׂרָהbowlsכְּפוֹרֵיof silverכֶסֶףof second quality,מִשְׁנִיםand a thousandאָלֶףotherאֲחֵרִיםutensils.כֵּלִים
Allכָּלthe utensilsכֵּלִיםof goldלַזָּהָבand of silverוְלַכֶּסֶףwere fiveחֲמֵשֶׁתthousandאֲלָפִיםfour hundred.וְאַרְבַּע מֵאוֹתAll theseהַכֹּלSheshbazzarשֵׁשְׁבַּצַּרbrought upהֶעֱלָהwhenעִםthe exilesהַגּוֹלָהwere brought upהֵעָלוֹתfrom Babylonמִבָּבֶלto Jerusalem.לִירוּשָׁלִָם
