AndוַYHWHיְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto Aaronאֶל אַהֲרֹןand to his sons,וְאֶל בָּנָיוthat they keep themselves apartוְיִנָּזְרוּfrom the holy thingsמִקָּדְשֵׁיof the sonsבְנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלwhichאֲשֶׁרtheyהֵםconsecrateמַקְדִּשִׁיםto me,לִיand do notוְלֹאprofaneיְחַלְּלוּmy holyקָדְשִׁיname.אֶת שֵׁםIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
Sayאֱמֹרto them:אֲלֵהֶםThroughout your generations,לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶםanyכָּלmanאִישׁfrom among allמִכָּלyour offspringזַרְעֲכֶםwhoאֲשֶׁרapproachesיִקְרַבthe holy thingsאֶל הַקֳּדָשִׁיםthatאֲשֶׁרthe sonsבְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלconsecrateיַקְדִּישׁוּto YHWHלַיהוָהwhile his uncleanness isוְטֻמְאָתוֹon him,עָלָיוthatוְ הַהִואpersonהַנֶּפֶשׁshall be cut offנִכְרְתָהfrom before me.מִלְּפָנַיIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
No manאִישׁ אִישׁ לֹאof the offspringמִזֶּרַעof Aaronאַהֲרֹןwhoוְהוּאis leprousצָרוּעַorאוֹhas a dischargeזָבmay eatיֹאכַלof the holy thingsבַּקֳּדָשִׁיםuntilעַד אֲשֶׁרhe is clean.יִטְהָרWhoever touchesוְהַנֹּגֵעַanythingבְּכָלuncleanטְמֵאby a dead person,נֶפֶשׁorאוֹa manאִישׁfrom whomאֲשֶׁר מִמֶּנּוּan emissionשִׁכְבַתof semenזָרַעgoes out,תֵּצֵא
orאוֹa manאִישׁwhoאֲשֶׁרtouchesיִגַּעanyבְּכָלswarming thingשֶׁרֶץby whichאֲשֶׁרhe becomes unclean,יִטְמָא לוֹorאוֹa human beingבְאָדָםby whomאֲשֶׁרhe becomes unclean,יִטְמָא לוֹwhateverלְכֹלhis uncleanness may be,טֻמְאָתוֹ
the personנֶפֶשׁwhoאֲשֶׁרtouchesתִּגַּעitבּוֹshall be uncleanוְטָמְאָהuntilעַדthe eveningהָעָרֶבand shall notוְלֹאeatיֹאכַלofמִןthe holy thingsהַקֳּדָשִׁיםunlessכִּי אִםhe has bathedרָחַץhis bodyבְּשָׂרוֹin water.בַּמָּיִם
And when the sunוּ הַשֶּׁמֶשׁhas set,בָאhe shall be clean,וְטָהֵרand afterwardוְאַחַרhe may eatיֹאכַלofמִןthe holy things,הַקֳּדָשִׁיםforכִּיitהוּאis his food.לַחְמוֹ
An animal that diedנְבֵלָהor one torn by beastsוּטְרֵפָהhe shall notלֹאeat,יֹאכַלbecoming uncleanלְטָמְאָהby it.בָהּIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
So they shall keepוְשָׁמְרוּmy charge,אֶת מִשְׁמַרְתִּיso that they do notוְלֹאbearיִשְׂאוּsinחֵטְאbecause of itעָלָיוand dieוּמֵתוּby itבוֹwhenכִּיthey profane it.יְחַלְּלֻהוּIאֲנִיam YHWH,יְהוָהwho sanctifiesמְקַדְּשָׁthem.ם
And noוְכָל לֹאstrangerזָרshall eatיֹאכַלa holy thing;קֹדֶשׁthe temporary residentתּוֹשַׁבof a priestכֹּהֵןand the hired workerוְשָׂכִירshall notלֹאeatיֹאכַלa holy thing.קֹדֶשׁ
But ifוְ כִּיa priestכֹהֵןbuysיִקְנֶהa person,נֶפֶשׁthe purchaseקִנְיַןof his silver,כַּסְפּוֹheהוּאmay eatיֹאכַלof it,בּוֹand those bornוִילִידin his house,בֵּיתוֹtheyהֵםmay eatיֹאכְלוּof his food.בְלַחְמוֹ
And ifוּ כִּיthe daughterבַתof a priestכֹּהֵןbecomesתִהְיֶהthe wife of a manלְאִישׁwho is a stranger,זָרsheהִואshall notלֹאeatתֹאכֵלof the contributionבִּתְרוּמַתof the holy things.הַקֳּדָשִׁים
But ifוּ כִּיthe daughterבַתof a priestכֹּהֵןbecomesתִהְיֶהa widowאַלְמָנָהor divorced,וּגְרוּשָׁהand has noוְ אֵיןchild,זֶרַעand returnsוְשָׁבָהtoאֶלher father’sאָבִיהָhouse,בֵּיתas in her youth,כִּנְעוּרֶיהָshe may eatתֹּאכֵלof her father’sאָבִיהָfood;מִלֶּחֶםbut noוְכָל לֹאstrangerזָרshall eatיֹאכַלof it.בּוֹ
And if a manוְאִישׁ כִּיeatsיֹאכַלa holy thingקֹדֶשׁby mistake,בִּשְׁגָגָהhe shall addוְיָסַףa fifth of itחֲמִשִׁיתוֹto itעָלָיוand giveוְנָתַןthe holy thingאֶת הַקֹּדֶשׁto the priest.לַכֹּהֵן
And they shall notוְלֹאprofaneיְחַלְּלוּthe holy thingsאֶת קָדְשֵׁיof the sonsבְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלwhichאֵת אֲשֶׁרthey set apartיָרִימוּto YHWH,לַיהוָה
and so causeוְהִשִּׂיאוּthemאוֹתָםto bearהִשִּׂיאוּiniquityעֲוֺןof guiltאַשְׁמָהwhen they eatבְּאָכְלָםtheir holy things;אֶת קָדְשֵׁיהֶםforכִּיIאֲנִיam YHWH,יְהוָהwho sanctifiesמְקַדְּשָׁthem.”ם
AndוַYHWHיְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto Aaronאֶל אַהֲרֹןand to his sonsוְאֶל בָּנָיוand to allוְאֶל כָּלthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלand sayוְאָמַרְתָּto them:אֲלֵהֶםAny manאִישׁ אִישׁof the houseמִבֵּיתof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלorוּofמִןthe resident aliensהַגֵּרin Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלwhoאֲשֶׁרpresentsיַקְרִיבhis offering,קָרְבָּנוֹfor anyלְכָלof their vowsנִדְרֵיהֶםor for anyוּלְכָלof their freewill offeringsנִדְבוֹתָםthatאֲשֶׁרthey presentיַקְרִיבוּto YHWHלַיהוָהas a burnt offering,לְעֹלָה
it shall be for your acceptance:לִרְצֹנְכֶםa maleזָכָרwithout defectתָּמִיםfrom the herd,בַּבָּקָרfrom the sheep,בַּכְּשָׂבִיםor from the goats.וּבָעִזִּים
Anythingכֹּלthatאֲשֶׁרhasבּוֹa defectמוּםyou shall notלֹאpresent,תַקְרִיבוּforכִּיit will notלֹאbeיִהְיֶהacceptedלְרָצוֹןfor you.לָכֶם
And when a manוְאִישׁ כִּיpresentsיַקְרִיבa sacrificeזֶבַחof peaceשְׁלָמִיםto YHWHלַיהוָהto fulfillלְפַלֵּאa vowנֶדֶרorאוֹas a freewill offering,לִנְדָבָהfrom the herdבַּבָּקָרorאוֹfrom the flock,בַצֹּאןit shall beיִהְיֶהwithout defectתָּמִיםto be accepted;לְרָצוֹןnoכָּל לֹאdefectמוּםshall beיִהְיֶהin it.בּוֹ
Blind,עַוֶּרֶתorאוֹbroken,שָׁבוּרorאוֹmaimed,חָרוּץorאוֹwith warts,יַבֶּלֶתorאוֹwith an itch,גָרָבorאוֹwith scabs:יַלֶּפֶתyou shall notלֹאpresentתַקְרִיבוּtheseאֵלֶּהto YHWH,לַיהוָהand you shall notוְ לֹאgiveתִתְּנוּfrom themמֵהֶםa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהonעַלthe altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַto YHWH.לַיהוָה
And an oxוְשׁוֹרor a lambוָשֶׂהthat has a limb too longשָׂרוּעַor stuntedוְקָלוּטyou may offerתַּעֲשֶׂהas a freewill offering,נְדָבָהit,אֹתוֹbut for a vowוּלְנֵדֶרit will notלֹאbe accepted.יֵרָצֶה
And an animal with testicles bruisedוּמָעוּךְor crushedוְכָתוּתor tornוְנָתוּקor cutוְכָרוּתyou shall notלֹאpresentתַקְרִיבוּto YHWH;לַיהוָהin your landוּבְאַרְצְכֶםyou shall notלֹאdo this.תַעֲשׂוּ
And from the handוּמִיַּדof a foreignerבֶּן נֵכָרyou shall notלֹאpresentתַקְרִיבוּthe foodאֶת לֶחֶםof your Elohimאֱלֹהֵיכֶםfrom anyמִכָּלof these,אֵלֶּהforכִּיtheir damageמָשְׁחָתָםis in them;בָּהֶםthere is a defectמוּםin them;בָּםthey will notלֹאbe acceptedיֵרָצוּfor you.”לָכֶם
AndוַYHWHיְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“When a calfשׁוֹר כִּיorאוֹa lambכֶשֶׂבorאוֹa kidעֵזis born,יִוָּלֵדit shall beוְהָיָהsevenשִׁבְעַתdaysיָמִיםunderתַּחַתits mother,אִמּוֹand fromוּמִthe eighthהַשְּׁמִינִיdayיּוֹםonוָהָלְאָהit shall be acceptedיֵרָצֶהas a fire offeringלְקָרְבַּן אִשֶּׁהto YHWH.לַיהוָה
And a cowוְשׁוֹרorאוֹa ewe,שֶׂהitאֹתוֹandוְאֶתits young,בְּנוֹyou shall notלֹאslaughterתִשְׁחֲטוּon oneבְּ אֶחָדday.יוֹם
And whenוְכִיyou sacrificeתִזְבְּחוּa sacrificeזֶבַחof thanksgivingתּוֹדָהto YHWH,לַיהוָהyou shall sacrifice itתִּזְבָּחוּso that you are accepted.לִרְצֹנְכֶם
On thatבַּ הַהוּאdayיּוֹםit shall be eaten;יֵאָכֵלyou shall notלֹאleaveתוֹתִירוּany of itמִמֶּנּוּuntilעַדmorning.בֹּקֶרIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
So you shall keepוּשְׁמַרְתֶּםmy commandmentsמִצְוֺתַיand doוַעֲשִׂיתֶםthem.אֹתָםIאֲנִיam YHWH.יְהוָה
And you shall notוְלֹאprofaneתְחַלְּלוּmy holyקָדְשִׁיname,אֶת שֵׁםso that I may be sanctifiedוְנִקְדַּשְׁתִּיamongבְּתוֹךְthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israel.יִשְׂרָאֵלIאֲנִיam YHWH,יְהוָהwho sanctifiesמְקַדִּשְׁyou,כֶם
who bringsהַמּוֹצִיאyouאֶתְכֶםout of the landמֵאֶרֶץof Egyptמִצְרַיִםto beלִהְיוֹתyourלָכֶםElohim.לֵאלֹהִיםIאֲנִיam YHWH.”יְהוָה
