AndוַYHWHיְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto the sonsאֶל בְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand sayוְאָמַרְתָּto them:אֲלֵהֶםThe appointed timesמוֹעֲדֵיof YHWH,יְהוָהwhichאֲשֶׁר אֹתָםyou shall proclaimתִּקְרְאוּas holyקֹדֶשׁconvocations,מִקְרָאֵיtheseאֵלֶּהareהֵםmy appointed times.מוֹעֲדָי
Sixשֵׁשֶׁתdaysיָמִיםworkמְלָאכָהshall be done,תֵּעָשֶׂהbut on the seventh dayוּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִיis a Sabbathשַׁבַּתof solemn rest,שַׁבָּתוֹןa holyקֹדֶשׁconvocation.מִקְרָאYou shall doתַעֲשׂוּnoלֹאwork at all;כָּל מְלָאכָהitהִואis a Sabbathשַׁבָּתto YHWHלַיהוָהin allבְּכֹלyour dwellings.מוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶם
Theseאֵלֶּהare the appointed timesמוֹעֲדֵיof YHWH,יְהוָהholyקֹדֶשׁconvocations,מִקְרָאֵיwhichאֲשֶׁר אֹתָםyou shall proclaimתִּקְרְאוּat their appointed times.בְּמוֹעֲדָם
In the firstבַּ הָרִאשׁוֹןmonth,חֹדֶשׁon the fourteenth dayבְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂרof the month,לַחֹדֶשׁat twilight,בֵּין הָעַרְבָּיִםis the Passoverפֶּסַחof YHWH.לַיהוָה
And on the fifteenthוּבַחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂרdayיוֹםof thisלַ הַזֶּהmonthחֹדֶשׁis the Feastחַגof Unleavened Breadהַמַּצּוֹתto YHWH;לַיהוָהsevenשִׁבְעַתdaysיָמִיםyou shall eatתֹּאכֵלוּunleavened bread.מַצּוֹת
On the firstבַּ הָרִאשׁוֹןdayיּוֹםyou shall haveיִהְיֶה לָכֶםa holyקֹדֶשׁconvocation;מִקְרָאyou shall doתַעֲשׂוּnoלֹאlaboriousעֲבֹדָהwork at all.כָּל מְלֶאכֶת
And you shall presentוְהִקְרַבְתֶּםa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהto YHWHלַיהוָהsevenשִׁבְעַתdays.יָמִיםOn the seventhבַּ הַשְּׁבִיעִיdayיּוֹםis a holyקֹדֶשׁconvocation;מִקְרָאyou shall doתַעֲשׂוּnoלֹאlaboriousעֲבֹדָהwork at all.”כָּל מְלֶאכֶת
AndוַYHWHיְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto the sonsאֶל בְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand sayוְאָמַרְתָּto them:אֲלֵהֶםWhenכִּיyou comeתָבֹאוּintoאֶלthe landהָאָרֶץthatאֲשֶׁרIאֲנִיam givingנֹתֵןyouלָכֶםand reapוּקְצַרְתֶּםits harvest,אֶת קְצִירָהּyou shall bringוַהֲבֵאתֶםthe sheafאֶת עֹמֶרof the firstfruitsרֵאשִׁיתof your harvestקְצִירְכֶםtoאֶלthe priest.הַכֹּהֵן
And he shall waveוְהֵנִיףthe sheafאֶת הָעֹמֶרbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהfor your acceptance;לִרְצֹנְכֶםon the day afterמִמָּחֳרַתthe Sabbathהַשַּׁבָּתthe priestהַכֹּהֵןshall wave it.יְנִיפֶנּוּ
And on the dayוַ בְּיוֹםyou waveהֲנִיפְכֶםthe sheafאֶת הָעֹמֶרyou shall offerעֲשִׂיתֶםa lambכֶּבֶשׂwithout defect,תָּמִיםa yearשְׁנָתold,בֶּן וֹas a burnt offeringלְעֹלָהto YHWH,לַיהוָה
and its grain offering,וּמִנְחָתוֹtwoשְׁנֵיtenths of an ephahעֶשְׂרֹנִיםof fine flourסֹלֶתmixedבְּלוּלָהwith oil,בַשֶּׁמֶןa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהto YHWH,לַיהוָהa pleasingנִיחֹחַaroma;רֵיחַand its libationוְנִסְכֹּהof wine,יַיִןa fourthרְבִיעִתof a hin.הַהִין
And breadוְלֶחֶםor roasted grainוְקָלִיor fresh grainוְכַרְמֶלyou shall notלֹאeatתֹאכְלוּuntilעַדthisהַזֶּהveryעֶצֶםday,הַיּוֹםuntilעַדyou have broughtהֲבִיאֲכֶםthe offeringאֶת קָרְבַּןof your Elohim;אֱלֹהֵיכֶםit is a statuteחֻקַּתforeverעוֹלָםthroughout your generationsלְדֹרֹתֵיכֶםin allבְּכֹלyour dwellings.מֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶם
And you shall countוּסְפַרְתֶּםfor yourselvesלָכֶםfrom the day afterמִמָּחֳרַתthe Sabbath,הַשַּׁבָּתfrom the dayמִיּוֹםyou broughtהֲבִיאֲכֶםthe sheafאֶת עֹמֶרof the wave offering;הַתְּנוּפָהsevenשֶׁבַעfullתְּמִימֹתSabbathsשַׁבָּתוֹתthey shall be.תִּהְיֶינָה
Untilעַדthe day afterמִמָּחֳרַתthe seventhהַשְּׁבִיעִתSabbathהַשַּׁבָּתyou shall countתִּסְפְּרוּfiftyחֲמִשִּׁיםdays,יוֹםand you shall presentוְהִקְרַבְתֶּםa newחֲדָשָׁהgrain offeringמִנְחָהto YHWH.לַיהוָה
From your dwellingsמִמּוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶםyou shall bringתָּבִיאּוּtwoשְׁתַּיִםloavesלֶחֶםfor a wave offering;תְּנוּפָהthey shall beתִּהְיֶינָהof twoשְׁנֵיtenths of an ephahעֶשְׂרֹנִיםof fine flour,סֹלֶתbakedתֵּאָפֶינָהwith leaven,חָמֵץas first fruitsבִּכּוּרִיםto YHWH.לַיהוָה
And withוְ עַלthe breadהַלֶּחֶםyou shall presentהִקְרַבְתֶּםsevenשִׁבְעַתlambsכְּבָשִׂיםwithout defect,תְּמִימִםa year old,בְּנֵי שָׁנָהand oneוּ אֶחָדyoungבֶּןbullפַר בָּקָרand twoשְׁנָיִםrams;וְאֵילִםthey shall beיִהְיוּa burnt offeringעֹלָהto YHWH,לַיהוָהwith their grain offeringוּמִנְחָתָםand their libations,וְנִסְכֵּיהֶםa fire offering,אִשֵּׁהa pleasingנִיחֹחַaromaרֵיחַto YHWH.לַיהוָה
And you shall offerוַעֲשִׂיתֶםoneאֶחָדmale goatשְׂעִיר עִזִּיםfor a sin offering,לְחַטָּאתand twoוּשְׁנֵיlambsכְבָשִׂיםa year oldבְּנֵי שָׁנָהas a sacrificeלְזֶבַחof peace.שְׁלָמִים
And the priestוְ הַכֹּהֵןshall waveהֵנִיףthemאֹתָםwithעַלthe breadלֶחֶםof the first fruitsהַבִּכּוּרִיםas a wave offeringתְּנוּפָהbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH,יְהוָהwithעַלthe twoשְׁנֵיlambs;כְּבָשִׂיםthey shall beיִהְיוּholyקֹדֶשׁto YHWHלַיהוָהfor the priest.לַכֹּהֵן
And onבְּthisהַזֶּהveryעֶצֶםdayהַיּוֹםyou shall proclaim:וּקְרָאתֶםthere shall beיִהְיֶהa holyקֹדֶשׁconvocationמִקְרָאfor you;לָכֶםyou shall doתַעֲשׂוּnoלֹאlaboriousעֲבֹדָהwork at all;כָּל מְלֶאכֶתit is a statuteחֻקַּתforeverעוֹלָםin allבְּכָלyour dwellingsמוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶםthroughout your generations.לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם
And when you reapוּבְקֻצְרְכֶםthe harvestאֶת קְצִירof your land,אַרְצְכֶםyou shall notלֹאfinish reapingתְכַלֶּה בְּקֻצְרֶךָthe edgeפְּאַתof your field,שָׂדְךָand the gleaningsוְלֶקֶטof your harvestקְצִירְךָyou shall notלֹאgather;תְלַקֵּטfor the poorלֶעָנִיand for the resident alienוְלַגֵּרyou shall leaveתַּעֲזֹבthem.אֹתָםIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.”אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
AndוַYHWHיְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto the sonsאֶל בְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלsaying:לֵאמֹרIn the seventhבַּ הַשְּׁבִיעִיmonth,חֹדֶשׁon the firstבְּאֶחָדof the month,לַחֹדֶשׁyou shall haveיִהְיֶה לָכֶםa solemn rest,שַׁבָּתוֹןa memorialזִכְרוֹןwith a blast of acclamation,תְּרוּעָהa holyקֹדֶשׁconvocation.מִקְרָא
You shall doתַעֲשׂוּnoלֹאlaboriousעֲבֹדָהwork at all,כָּל מְלֶאכֶתand you shall presentוְהִקְרַבְתֶּםa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהto YHWH.”לַיהוָה
AndוַYHWHיְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Butאַךְon the tenth dayבֶּעָשׂוֹרof thisלַ הַזֶּהseventhהַשְּׁבִיעִיmonthחֹדֶשׁisהוּאthe Dayיוֹםof Expiation;הַכִּפֻּרִיםyou shall haveיִהְיֶה לָכֶםa holyקֹדֶשׁconvocation,מִקְרָאand you shall afflictוְעִנִּיתֶםyour soulsאֶת נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶםand presentוְהִקְרַבְתֶּםa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהto YHWH.לַיהוָה
And you shall doוְ תַעֲשׂוּnoלֹאwork at allכָל מְלָאכָהon thisבְּ הַזֶּהveryעֶצֶםday,הַיּוֹםforכִּיitהוּאis a dayיוֹםof expiation,כִּפֻּרִיםto make expiationלְכַפֵּרfor youעֲלֵיכֶםbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
Forכִּיanyכָלpersonהַנֶּפֶשׁwhoאֲשֶׁרis notלֹאafflictedתְעֻנֶּהon thisבְּ הַזֶּהveryעֶצֶםdayהַיּוֹםshall be cut offוְנִכְרְתָהfrom their people.מֵעַמֶּיהָ
And anyוְכָלpersonהַנֶּפֶשׁwhoאֲשֶׁרdoesתַּעֲשֶׂהanyכָּלworkמְלָאכָהon thisבְּ הַזֶּהveryעֶצֶםday,הַיּוֹםI will destroyוְהַאֲבַדְתִּיthatאֶת הַהִואpersonהַנֶּפֶשׁfrom amongמִקֶּרֶבtheir people.עַמָּהּ
You shall doתַעֲשׂוּnoלֹאwork at all;כָּל מְלָאכָהit is a statuteחֻקַּתforeverעוֹלָםthroughout your generationsלְדֹרֹתֵיכֶםin allבְּכֹלyour dwellings.מֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶם
Itהוּאis a Sabbathשַׁבַּתof solemn restשַׁבָּתוֹןfor you,לָכֶםand you shall afflictוְעִנִּיתֶםyour souls;אֶת נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶםon the ninth dayבְּתִשְׁעָהof the monthלַחֹדֶשׁin the evening,בָּעֶרֶבfrom eveningמֵעֶרֶבtoעַדevening,עֶרֶבyou shall ceaseתִּשְׁבְּתוּin your Sabbath.”שַׁבַּתְּכֶם
AndוַYHWHיְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרto the sonsאֶל בְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלsaying:לֵאמֹרOn the fifteenthבַּחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂרdayיוֹםof thisלַ הַזֶּהseventhהַשְּׁבִיעִיmonthחֹדֶשׁis the Feastחַגof Booths,הַסֻּכּוֹתsevenשִׁבְעַתdaysיָמִיםto YHWH.לַיהֹוָה
On the firstבַּ הָרִאשׁוֹןdayיּוֹםis a holyקֹדֶשׁconvocation;מִקְרָאyou shall doתַעֲשׂוּnoלֹאlaboriousעֲבֹדָהwork at all.כָּל מְלֶאכֶת
Sevenשִׁבְעַתdaysיָמִיםyou shall presentתַּקְרִיבוּa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהto YHWH.לַיהוָהOn the eighthבַּ הַשְּׁמִינִיdayיּוֹםyou shall haveיִהְיֶה לָכֶםa holyקֹדֶשׁconvocationמִקְרָאand presentוְהִקְרַבְתֶּםa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהto YHWH;לַיהוָהitהִואis a solemn assembly;עֲצֶרֶתyou shall doתַעֲשׂוּnoלֹאlaboriousעֲבֹדָהwork at all.כָּל מְלֶאכֶת
Theseאֵלֶּהare the appointed timesמוֹעֲדֵיof YHWH,יְהוָהwhichאֲשֶׁר אֹתָםyou shall proclaimתִּקְרְאוּas holyקֹדֶשׁconvocations,מִקְרָאֵיto presentלְהַקְרִיבa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהto YHWH,לַיהוָהburnt offeringעֹלָהand grain offering,וּמִנְחָהsacrificeזֶבַחand libations,וּנְסָכִיםeach day’s matterדְּבַר יוֹםon its day,בְּיוֹמוֹ
besidesמִלְּבַדthe Sabbathsשַׁבְּתֹתof YHWH,יְּהוָהand besidesוּמִלְּבַדyour gifts,מַתְּנוֹתֵיכֶםand besidesוּמִלְּבַדallכָּלyour vows,נִדְרֵיכֶםand besidesוּמִלְּבַדallכָּלyour freewill offerings,נִדְבוֹתֵיכֶםwhichאֲשֶׁרyou giveתִּתְּנוּto YHWH.לַיהוָה
Butאַךְon the fifteenthבַּחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂרdayיוֹםof the seventhלַ הַשְּׁבִיעִיmonth,חֹדֶשׁwhen you have gatheredבְּאָסְפְּכֶםthe produceאֶת תְּבוּאַתof the land,הָאָרֶץyou shall celebrateתָּחֹגּוּthe feastאֶת חַגof YHWHיְהוָהsevenשִׁבְעַתdays;יָמִיםon the firstבַּ הָרִאשׁוֹןdayיּוֹםshall be a solemn rest,שַׁבָּתוֹןand on the eighthוּבַ הַשְּׁמִינִיdayיּוֹםshall be a solemn rest.שַׁבָּתוֹן
And you shall takeוּלְקַחְתֶּםfor yourselvesלָכֶםon the firstבַּ הָרִאשׁוֹןdayיּוֹםthe fruitפְּרִיof splendidהָדָרtrees,עֵץbranchesכַּפֹּתof palm trees,תְּמָרִיםand boughsוַעֲנַףof leafyעָבֹתtrees,עֵץand willowsוְעַרְבֵיof the brook,נָחַלand you shall rejoiceוּשְׂמַחְתֶּםbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohimאֱלֹהֵיכֶםsevenשִׁבְעַתdays.יָמִים
And you shall celebrateוְחַגֹּתֶםitאֹתוֹas a feastחַגto YHWHלַיהוָהsevenשִׁבְעַתdaysיָמִיםin the year;בַּשָּׁנָהit is a statuteחֻקַּתforeverעוֹלָםthroughout your generations;לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶםin the seventhבַּ הַשְּׁבִיעִיmonthחֹדֶשׁyou shall celebrateתָּחֹגּוּit.אֹתוֹ
In boothsבַּסֻּכֹּתyou shall liveתֵּשְׁבוּsevenשִׁבְעַתdays;יָמִיםallכָּלthe nativeהָאֶזְרָחin Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵלshall liveיֵשְׁבוּin booths,בַּסֻּכֹּת
so thatלְמַעַןyour generationsדֹרֹתֵיכֶםmay knowיֵדְעוּthatכִּיI madeהוֹשַׁבְתִּיthe sonsאֶת בְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלliveהוֹשַׁבְתִּיin boothsבַסֻּכּוֹתwhen I broughtבְּהוֹצִיאִיthemאוֹתָםout of the landמֵאֶרֶץof Egypt.מִצְרָיִםIאֲנִיam YHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.”אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
So Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהdeclaredיְדַבֵּרthe appointed timesאֶת מֹעֲדֵיof YHWHיְהוָהtoאֶלthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israel.יִשְׂרָאֵל
