AndΚαὶafterμεθ’sixἓξdaysἡμέραςJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςtakes alongπαραλαμβάνειPeterτὸν ΠέτρονandκαὶJamesἸάκωβονandκαὶJohnἸωάννηνhis brother,τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦandκαὶleadsἀναφέρειthemαὐτοὺςupἀναφέρειontoεἰςa highὑψηλὸνmountainὄροςby themselves.κατ’ ἰδίαν
Andκαὶhe was transfiguredμετεμορφώθηbeforeἔμπροσθενthem,αὐτῶνandκαὶhis faceτὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦshoneἔλαμψενlikeὡςthe sun,ὁ ἥλιοςandδὲhis clothesτὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦbecameἐγένετοwhiteλευκὰasὡςthe light.τὸ φῶς
Andκαὶlook,ἰδοὺthere appearedὤφθηto themαὐτοῖςMosesΜωϋσῆςandκαὶElijah,Ἠλίαςtalkingσυλλαλοῦντεςwithμετ’him.αὐτοῦ
AndδὲPeterὁ Πέτροςansweredἀποκριθεὶςand saidεἶπενto Jesus,τῷ Ἰησοῦ“Lord,Κύριεit isἐστινgoodκαλόνfor usἡμᾶςto beεἶναιhere.ὧδεIfεἰyou want,θέλειςI will makeποιήσωthreeτρεῖςtentsσκηνάςhere,ὧδεoneμίανfor youσοὶandκαὶoneμίανfor MosesΜωϋσεῖandκαὶoneμίανfor Elijah.”Ἠλίᾳ
While heαὐτοῦwas stillἔτιspeaking,λαλοῦντοςlook,ἰδοὺa brightφωτεινὴcloudνεφέληovershadowedἐπεσκίασενthem,αὐτούςandκαὶlook,ἰδοὺa voiceφωνὴfromἐκthe cloudτῆς νεφέληςwassaying,λέγουσα“ThisΟὗτόςisἐστινmyμουbelovedὁ ἀγαπητόςSon,ὁ υἱόςinἐνwhomᾧI am well pleased;εὐδόκησαlisten toἀκούετεhim.”αὐτοῦ
Andκαὶwhen the disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶheard it,ἀκούσαντεςthey fellἔπεσανonἐπὶtheir facesπρόσωπον αὐτῶνandκαὶwereἐφοβήθησανveryσφόδραafraid.ἐφοβήθησαν
AndκαὶJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςcameπροσῆλθενand,καὶtouchingἁψάμενοςthem,αὐτῶνsaid,εἶπεν“Get up,Ἐγέρθητεandκαὶdo notμὴbe afraid.”φοβεῖσθε
Andδὲlifting upἐπάραντεςtheir eyes,τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶνthey sawεἶδονno oneοὐδέναexceptεἰ μὴJesusἸησοῦνhimselfαὐτὸνalone.μόνον
AndΚαὶas they were coming downκαταβαινόντων αὐτῶνfromἐκthe mountain,τοῦ ὄρουςJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςcommandedἐνετείλατοthem,αὐτοῖςsaying,λέγων“Tellεἴπητεno oneΜηδενὶthe visionτὸ ὅραμαuntilἕως οὗthe Sonὁ υἱὸςof Manτοῦ ἀνθρώπουis raisedἐγερθῇfromἐκthe dead.”νεκρῶν
Andκαὶthe disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶaskedἐπηρώτησανhim,αὐτὸνsaying,λέγοντες“WhyΤίthenοὖνdo the scribesοἱ γραμματεῖςsayλέγουσινthatὅτιElijahἨλίανmustδεῖcomeἐλθεῖνfirst?”πρῶτον
Andδὲheὁansweredἀποκριθεὶςand said,εἶπεν“ElijahἨλίαςdoes comeμὲν ἔρχεταιandκαὶwill restoreἀποκαταστήσειall things.πάντα
ButδὲI tellλέγωyouὑμῖνthatὅτιElijahἨλίαςhas alreadyἤδηcome,ἦλθενandκαὶthey did notοὐκrecognizeἐπέγνωσανhim,αὐτὸνbutἀλλὰdidἐποίησανtoἐνhimαὐτῷwhateverὅσαthey wanted.ἠθέλησανSoοὕτωςalsoκαὶthe Sonὁ υἱὸςof Manτοῦ ἀνθρώπουis goingμέλλειto sufferπάσχεινbyὑπ’them.”αὐτῶν
Thenτότεthe disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶunderstoodσυνῆκανthatὅτιhe had spokenεἶπενto themαὐτοῖςaboutπερὶJohnἸωάννουthe Immerser.τοῦ βαπτιστοῦ
AndΚαὶwhen they cameἐλθόντωνtoπρὸςthe crowd,τὸν ὄχλονa manἄνθρωποςcameπροσῆλθενto him,αὐτῷkneeling beforeγονυπετῶνhimαὐτὸν
andκαὶsaying,λέγων“Lord,Κύριεhave mercy onἐλέησόνmyμουson,τὸν υἱόνbecauseὅτιhe is moonstruckσεληνιάζεταιandκαὶsuffersπάσχειterribly;κακῶςforγὰρoftenπολλάκιςhe fallsπίπτειintoεἰςthe fireτὸ πῦρandκαὶoftenπολλάκιςintoεἰςthe water.τὸ ὕδωρ
AndκαὶI broughtπροσήνεγκαhimαὐτὸνto your disciples,τοῖς μαθηταῖς σουandκαὶthey could notοὐκ ἠδυνήθησανhealθεραπεῦσαιhim.”αὐτὸν
AndδὲJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςansweredἀποκριθεὶςand said,εἶπεν“OὮunbelievingἄπιστοςandκαὶpervertedδιεστραμμένηgeneration,γενεὰhow longἕως πότεwill I beἔσομαιwithμεθ’you?ὑμῶνHow longἕως πότεwill I put up withἀνέξομαιyou?ὑμῶνBringφέρετέhimαὐτὸνhereὧδεto me.”μοι
AndκαὶJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςrebukedἐπετίμησενhim,αὐτῷandκαὶthe demonτὸ δαιμόνιονcame outἐξῆλθενofἀπ’him,αὐτοῦandκαὶthe boyὁ παῖςwas healedἐθεραπεύθηfromἀπὸthat hour.τῆς ὥρας ἐκείνης
ThenΤότεthe disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶcameπροσελθόντεςto Jesusτῷ Ἰησοῦprivatelyκατ’ ἰδίανand said,εἶπον“WhyΔιὰ τίcould weἡμεῖς ἠδυνήθημενnotοὐκcastἐκβαλεῖνitαὐτόout?”ἐκβαλεῖν
Andδὲheὁsaysλέγειto them,αὐτοῖς“Because ofΔιὰyour little faith.τὴν ὀλιγοπιστίαν ὑμῶνForγὰρtrulyἀμὴνI tellλέγωyou,ὑμῖνifἐὰνyou haveἔχητεfaithπίστινlikeὡςa grainκόκκονof mustard seed,σινάπεωςyou will sayἐρεῖτεto thisτῷ τούτῳmountain,ὄρει‘MoveΜετάβαfrom hereἔνθενto there,’ἐκεῖandκαὶit will move,μεταβήσεταιandκαὶnothingοὐδὲνwill be impossibleἀδυνατήσειfor you.”ὑμῖν
But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.
Andδὲas they were gatheringΣυστρεφομένων αὐτῶνinἐνGalilee,τῇ ΓαλιλαίᾳJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςsaidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“The Sonὁ υἱὸςof Manτοῦ ἀνθρώπουis goingΜέλλειto be handed overπαραδίδοσθαιintoεἰςthe handsχεῖραςof men,ἀνθρώπων
andκαὶthey will killἀποκτενοῦσινhim,αὐτόνandκαὶon the thirdτῇ τρίτῃdayἡμέρᾳhe will be raised.”ἐγερθήσεταιAndκαὶthey wereἐλυπήθησανdeeplyσφόδραgrieved.ἐλυπήθησαν
Nowδὲwhen they cameἘλθόντων αὐτῶνtoεἰςCapernaum,Καφαρναοὺμthose whoοἱcollectedλαμβάνοντεςthe two-drachma taxτὰ δίδραχμαcameπροσῆλθονto Peterτῷ Πέτρῳandκαὶsaid,εἶπαν“Does your teacherὉ διδάσκαλος ὑμῶνnotοὐpayτελεῖthe two-drachma tax?”τὰ δίδραχμα
He says,λέγει“Yes.”ΝαίAndκαὶwhen he cameἐλθόνταintoεἰςthe house,τὴν οἰκίανJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςspoke first toπροέφθασενhim,αὐτὸνsaying,λέγων“WhatΤίdo youσοιthink,δοκεῖSimon?ΣίμωνFromἀπὸwhomτίνωνdo the kingsοἱ βασιλεῖςof the earthτῆς γῆςtakeλαμβάνουσινtollsτέληorἢtribute?κῆνσονFromἀπὸtheir sonsτῶν υἱῶν αὐτῶνorἢfromἀπὸstrangers?”τῶν ἀλλοτρίων
Andδέwhen he said,εἰπόντος“FromἈπὸstrangers,”τῶν ἀλλοτρίωνJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςsaidἔφηto him,αὐτῷ“Then indeedἌρα γεthe sonsοἱ υἱοίareεἰσινfree.ἐλεύθεροί
Butδὲso thatἵναwe do notμὴcauseσκανδαλίσωμενthemαὐτούςto stumble,σκανδαλίσωμενgoπορευθεὶςtoεἰςthe sea,θάλασσανcastβάλεa hook,ἄγκιστρονandκαὶtakeἆρονthe firstπρῶτονfishἰχθὺνthatτὸνcomes up;ἀναβάνταandκαὶwhen you openἀνοίξαςits mouth,τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦyou will findεὑρήσειςa stater.στατῆραTakeλαβὼνthatἐκεῖνονandgive itδὸςto themαὐτοῖςforἀντὶmeἐμοῦandκαὶyou.”σοῦ
