norμηδὲto pay attentionπροσέχεινto mythsμύθοιςandκαὶendlessἀπεράντοιςgenealogies,γενεαλογίαιςwhichαἵτινεςprovideπαρέχουσιspeculationsἐκζητήσειςratherμᾶλλονthanἢGod’sθεοῦadministrationοἰκονομίανthat isτὴνinἐνfaith,πίστειso do now.
Butδὲthe goalτὸ τέλοςof the instructionτῆς παραγγελίαςisἐστὶνloveἀγάπηfromἐκa pureκαθαρᾶςheartκαρδίαςandκαὶa goodἀγαθῆςconscienceσυνειδήσεωςandκαὶsincereἀνυποκρίτουfaith.πίστεως
Someτινεςwho have missed the markἀστοχήσαντεςin these thingsὧνhave turned asideἐξετράπησανtoεἰςempty talk,ματαιολογίαν
wantingθέλοντεςto beεἶναιteachers of the law,νομοδιδάσκαλοιthough they understandνοοῦντεςneitherμὴ μήτεwhatἃthey are sayingλέγουσινnorμήτεthe thingsτίνωνabout whichπερὶthey make confident assertions.διαβεβαιοῦνται
Nowδὲwe knowΟἴδαμενthatὅτιthe lawὁ νόμοςis goodκαλὸςifἐάνoneτιςusesχρῆταιitαὐτῷlawfully,νομίμως
knowingεἰδὼςthis,τοῦτοthatὅτιlawνόμοςis not laid downοὐ κεῖταιfor a righteous personδικαίῳbutδὲfor the lawlessἀνόμοιςandκαὶdisobedient,ἀνυποτάκτοιςfor the ungodlyἀσεβέσιandκαὶsinners,ἁμαρτωλοῖςfor the unholyἀνοσίοιςandκαὶprofane,βεβήλοιςfor those who kill their fathersπατρολῴαιςandκαὶthose who kill their mothers,μητρολῴαιςfor murderers,ἀνδροφόνοις
the sexually immoral,πόρνοιςmen who lie with males,ἀρσενοκοίταιςkidnappers,ἀνδραποδισταῖςliars,ψεύσταιςperjurers,ἐπιόρκοιςandκαὶwhateverεἴ τιelseἕτερονis contraryἀντίκειταιto the soundτῇ ὑγιαινούσῃteaching,διδασκαλίᾳ
according toκατὰthe good newsτὸ εὐαγγέλιονof the gloryτῆς δόξηςof the happyτοῦ μακαρίουGod,θεοῦwhichὃIἐγώwas entrusted with.ἐπιστεύθην
I giveἔχωthanksΧάρινto him who strengthenedτῷ ἐνδυναμώσαντίme,μεthe MessiahΧριστῷJesusἸησοῦour Lord,τῷ κυρίῳ ἡμῶνbecauseὅτιhe consideredἡγήσατοmeμεfaithful,πιστόνappointing meθέμενοςtoεἰςservice,διακονίαν
though formerlyτὸ πρότερονI wasὄνταa blasphemerβλάσφημονandκαὶa persecutorδιώκτηνandκαὶa violent man.ὑβριστήνButἀλλὰI was shown mercy,ἠλεήθηνbecauseὅτιI actedἐποίησαin ignoranceἀγνοῶνinἐνunbelief,ἀπιστίᾳ
andδὲthe graceἡ χάριςof our Lordτοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶνoverflowedὑπερεπλεόνασενwithμετὰthe faithπίστεωςandκαὶloveἀγάπηςthat areτῆςinἐνthe MessiahΧριστῷJesus.Ἰησοῦ

Butἀλλὰforδιὰthis reasonτοῦτοI was shown mercy,ἠλεήθηνso thatἵναinἐνme,ἐμοὶthe first,πρώτῳthe MessiahΧριστὸςJesusἸησοῦςmight displayἐνδείξηταιallτὴν ἅπασανhispatienceμακροθυμίανasπρὸςan exampleὑποτύπωσινfor those whoτῶνwere goingμελλόντωνto believeπιστεύεινinἐπ’himαὐτῷforεἰςeternalαἰώνιονlife.ζωὴν
To the Kingτῷ βασιλεῖof the ages,τῶν αἰώνωνincorruptible,ἀφθάρτῳinvisible,ἀοράτῳthe onlyμόνῳGod,θεῷbehonorτιμὴandκαὶgloryδόξαforeverεἰς τοὺς αἰῶναςand ever.τῶν αἰώνωνAmen.ἀμήν
ThisΤαύτηνinstructionτὴν παραγγελίανI entrustπαρατίθεμαίto you,σοιTimothy,Τιμόθεεmychild,τέκνονin keeping withκατὰthe propheciesτὰς προφητείαςmade earlierπροαγούσαςaboutἐπὶyou,σὲso thatἵναbyἐνthemαὐταῖςyou may fightστρατεύῃthe goodτὴν καλὴνfight,στρατείαν
holdingἔχωνfaithπίστινandκαὶa goodἀγαθὴνconscience,συνείδησινwhichἥνsomeτινεςhave rejectedἀπωσάμενοιand so have suffered shipwreckἐναυάγησανwith regard toπερὶthe faith.τὴν πίστιν
Among themὧνareἐστινHymenaeusὙμέναιοςandκαὶAlexander,ἈλέξανδροςwhomοὓςI handed overπαρέδωκαto Satanτῷ Σατανᾷso thatἵναthey may be disciplinedπαιδευθῶσιnotμὴto blaspheme.βλασφημεῖν
