When all this was finished,וּכְכַלּוֹת כָּל זֹאתallכָּלIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵלwho were presentהַנִּמְצְאִיםwent outיָצְאוּto the citiesלְעָרֵיof Judahיְהוּדָהand brokeוַיְשַׁבְּרוּthe standing stones,הַמַּצֵּבוֹתcut downוַיְגַדְּעוּthe Asherahs,הָאֲשֵׁרִיםand tore downוַיְנַתְּצוּthe high placesאֶת הַבָּמוֹתand the altarsוְאֶת הַמִּזְבְּחֹתfrom allמִכָּלJudahיְהוּדָהand Benjamin,וּבִנְיָמִןand in Ephraimוּבְאֶפְרַיִםand Manasseh,וּמְנַשֶּׁהuntil they had finished.עַד לְכַלֵּהThen allוַ כָּלthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלreturned,יָּשׁוּבוּeachאִישׁto his possession,לַאֲחֻזָּתוֹto their cities.לְעָרֵיהֶם
Hezekiahיְחִזְקִיָּהוּsetוַיַּעֲמֵדthe divisionsאֶת מַחְלְקוֹתof the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִיםand the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּםby their divisions,עַל מַחְלְקוֹתָםeachאִישׁaccording toכְּפִיhis service,עֲבֹדָתוֹthe priestsלַכֹּהֲנִיםand the Levites,וְלַלְוִיִּםfor burnt offeringלְעֹלָהand for peace offerings,וְלִשְׁלָמִיםto ministerלְשָׁרֵתand to give thanksוּלְהֹדוֹתand to praiseוּלְהַלֵּלin the gatesבְּשַׁעֲרֵיof the campsמַחֲנוֹתof YHWH.יְהוָה
The portionוּמְנָתof the kingהַמֶּלֶךְfrom his possessionsמִן רְכוּשׁוֹwas for the burnt offerings:לָעֹלוֹתfor the burnt offeringsלְעֹלוֹתof the morningהַבֹּקֶרand of the evening,וְהָעֶרֶבand the burnt offeringsוְהָעֹלוֹתfor the Sabbathsלַשַּׁבָּתוֹתand for the new moonsוְלֶחֳדָשִׁיםand for the appointed times,וְלַמֹּעֲדִיםasכַּit is writtenכָּתוּבin the lawבְּתוֹרַתof YHWH.יְהוָה
He toldוַיֹּאמֶרthe people,לָעָםthe inhabitantsלְיוֹשְׁבֵיof Jerusalem,יְרוּשָׁלִַםto giveלָתֵתthe portionמְנָתof the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִיםand of the Levites,וְהַלְוִיִּםso thatלְמַעַןthey might hold firmיֶחֶזְקוּto the lawבְּתוֹרַתof YHWH.יְהוָה
Whenוְכִthe orderהַדָּבָרspread,פְרֹץthe sonsבְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלgave in abundanceהִרְבּוּthe firstfruitsרֵאשִׁיתof grain,דָּגָןnew wine,תִּירוֹשׁand oil,וְיִצְהָרand honey,וּדְבַשׁand of allוְכֹלthe produceתְּבוּאַתof the field;שָׂדֶהand the titheוּמַעְשַׂרof everythingהַכֹּלthey broughtהֵבִיאוּin abundance.לָרֹב
And the sonsוּבְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand Judahוִיהוּדָהwho livedהַיּוֹשְׁבִיםin the citiesבְּעָרֵיof Judah,יְהוּדָהthey tooגַּם הֵםbroughtהֵבִיאוּthe titheמַעְשַׂרof cattleבָּקָרand sheep,וָצֹאןand the titheוּמַעְשַׂרof the holy thingsקָדָשִׁיםconsecratedהַמְקֻדָּשִׁיםto YHWHלַיהוָהtheir Elohim,אֱלֹהֵיהֶםand they laid themוַיִּתְּנוּin heapsעֲרֵמוֹתupon heaps.עֲרֵמוֹת
In the thirdבַּ הַשְּׁלִשִׁיmonthחֹדֶשׁthey beganהֵחֵלּוּto lay the baseלְיִסּוֹדof the heaps,הָעֲרֵמוֹתand in the seventhוּבַ הַשְּׁבִיעִיmonthחֹדֶשׁthey finished.כִּלּוּ
Hezekiahיְחִזְקִיָּהוּand the officialsוְהַשָּׂרִיםcameוַיָּבֹאוּand sawוַיִּרְאוּthe heaps,אֶת הָעֲרֵמוֹתand they blessedוַיְבָרֲכוּYHWHאֶת יְהוָהand his peopleוְאֵת עַמּוֹIsrael.יִשְׂרָאֵל

Azariahעֲזַרְיָהוּthe headהָרֹאשׁpriestהַכֹּהֵןof the houseלְבֵיתof Zadokצָדוֹקspokeוַיֹּאמֶרto himאֵלָיוand said,וַיֹּאמֶר“Sinceמֵthey beganהָחֵלto bringלָבִיאthe contributionהַתְּרוּמָהinto the houseבֵיתof YHWH,יְהוָהwe have eatenאָכוֹלand been satisfiedוְשָׂבוֹעַand much has been left over,וְהוֹתֵר עַד לָרוֹבforכִּיYHWHיְהוָהhas blessedבֵּרַךְhis people;אֶת עַמּוֹand what is leftוְהַנּוֹתָרis thisאֶת הַזֶּהabundance.”הֶהָמוֹן
Hezekiahיְחִזְקִיָּהוּorderedוַיֹּאמֶרto prepareלְהָכִיןchambersלְשָׁכוֹתin the houseבְּבֵיתof YHWH,יְהוָהand they prepared them.וַיָּכִינוּ
They brought inוַיָּבִיאוּthe contributionאֶת הַתְּרוּמָהand the titheוְהַמַּעֲשֵׂרand the holy thingsוְהַקֳּדָשִׁיםwith faithfulness.בֶּאֱמוּנָהOver themוַעֲלֵיהֶםas leaderנָגִידwas Conaniahכָּנַנְיָהוּthe Levite,הַלֵּוִיand Shimeiוְשִׁמְעִיhis brotherאָחִיהוּwas second.מִשְׁנֶה
Jehiel,וִיחִיאֵלAzaziah,וַעֲזַזְיָהוּNahath,וְנַחַתAsahel,וַעֲשָׂהאֵלJerimoth,וִירִימוֹתJozabad,וְיוֹזָבָדEliel,וֶאֱלִיאֵלIsmachiah,וְיִסְמַכְיָהוּMahath,וּמַחַתand Benaiahוּבְנָיָהוּwere appointedפְּקִידִיםunder the handמִיַּדof Conaniahכָּנַנְיָהוּand Shimeiוְשִׁמְעִיhis brother,אָחִיוby the arrangementבְּמִפְקַדof Hezekiahיְחִזְקִיָּהוּthe kingהַמֶּלֶךְand of Azariahוַעֲזַרְיָהוּthe leaderנְגִידof the houseבֵּיתof Elohim.הָאֱלֹהִים
Koreוְקוֹרֵאsonבֶןof Imnah,יִמְנָהthe Levite,הַלֵּוִיthe gatekeeperהַשּׁוֹעֵרat the east,לַמִּזְרָחָהwas overעַלthe freewill offeringsנִדְבוֹתof Elohim,הָאֱלֹהִיםto giveלָתֵתthe contributionתְּרוּמַתof YHWHיְהוָהand the most holy things.וְקָדְשֵׁי הַקֳּדָשִׁים
Beside himוְעַל יָדוֹwere Eden,עֵדֶןMiniamin,וּמִנְיָמִןJeshua,וְיֵשׁוּעַShemaiah,וּשְׁמַעְיָהוּAmariah,אֲמַרְיָהוּand Shecaniah,וּשְׁכַנְיָהוּin the citiesבְּעָרֵיof the priests,הַכֹּהֲנִיםwith faithfulnessבֶּאֱמוּנָהto giveלָתֵתto their brothersלַאֲחֵיהֶםby divisions,בְּמַחְלְקוֹתto greatכַּגָּדוֹלand small alike,כַּקָּטָן
apart fromמִלְּבַדtheir genealogical recordהִתְיַחְשָׂםof malesלִזְכָרִיםfromמִthreeשָׁלוֹשׁyears oldבֶּן שָׁנִיםand upward,וּלְמַעְלָהto everyoneלְכָלwho enteredהַבָּאthe houseלְבֵיתof YHWH,יְהוָהaccording to the matterלִדְבַרof each day,יוֹם בְּיוֹמוֹfor their serviceלַעֲבוֹדָתָםin their watchesבְּמִשְׁמְרוֹתָםaccording to their divisions.כְּמַחְלְקוֹתֵיהֶם
And the genealogical recordוְאֵת הִתְיַחֵשׂof the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִיםwas by their fathers’ houses,לְבֵית אֲבוֹתֵיהֶםand the Levites,וְהַלְוִיִּםfromמִtwentyעֶשְׂרִיםyears oldבֶּן שָׁנָהand upward,וּלְמָעְלָהby their watches,בְּמִשְׁמְרוֹתֵיהֶםin their divisions;בְּמַחְלְקוֹתֵיהֶם
and they were enrolled in the genealogyוּלְהִתְיַחֵשׂwith allבְּכָלtheir little ones,טַפָּםtheir wives,נְשֵׁיהֶםtheir sonsוּבְנֵיהֶםand their daughters,וּבְנוֹתֵיהֶםfor the wholeלְכָלassembly;קָהָלforכִּיin their faithfulnessבֶאֱמוּנָתָםthey sanctified themselvesיִתְקַדְּשׁוּin holiness.קֹדֶשׁ
And for the sonsוְלִבְנֵיof Aaron,אַהֲרֹןthe priests,הַכֹּהֲנִיםwho were in the fieldsבִּשְׂדֵיof the pasturelandsמִגְרַשׁof their cities,עָרֵיהֶםin everyבְּכָלcityעִיר וָעִירthere were menאֲנָשִׁיםwhoאֲשֶׁרhad been designatedנִקְּבוּby nameבְּשֵׁמוֹתto giveלָתֵתportionsמָנוֹתto everyלְכָלmaleזָכָרamong the priestsבַּכֹּהֲנִיםand to everyoneוּלְכָלenrolled in the genealogyהִתְיַחֵשׂamong the Levites.בַּלְוִיִּם
ThusכָּזֹאתHezekiahיְחִזְקִיָּהוּdidוַיַּעַשׂin allבְּכָלJudah;יְהוּדָהand he didוַיַּעַשׂwhat was goodהַטּוֹבand rightוְהַיָּשָׁרand trueוְהָאֱמֶתbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהhis Elohim.אֱלֹהָיו
