sinceἐπεὶyou are seekingζητεῖτεproofδοκιμὴνof the Messiahτοῦ Χριστοῦspeakingλαλοῦντοςinἐνme,ἐμοὶwhoὃςis notοὐκweakἀσθενεῖtowardεἰςyouὑμᾶςbutἀλλὰis powerfulδυνατεῖamongἐνyou.ὑμῖν
For indeedκαὶ γὰρhe was crucifiedἐσταυρώθηout ofἐξweakness,ἀσθενείαςbutἀλλὰhe livesζῇbyἐκthe powerδυνάμεωςof God.θεοῦForγὰρweἡμεῖςalsoκαὶare weakἀσθενοῦμενinἐνhim,αὐτῷbutἀλλὰwe will liveζήσομενwithσὺνhimαὐτῷbyἐκthe powerδυνάμεωςof Godθεοῦtowardεἰςyou.ὑμᾶς
TestπειράζετεyourselvesἙαυτοὺςto seewhetherεἰyou areἐστὲinἐνthe faith;τῇ πίστειexamineδοκιμάζετεyourselves.ἑαυτοὺςOrἢdo you notοὐκrecognizeἐπιγινώσκετεabout yourselvesἑαυτοὺςthatὅτιJesusἸησοῦςthe MessiahΧριστὸςisinἐνyou?ὑμῖν—unlessεἰ μήτιyou areἐστεdisqualified!ἀδόκιμοί
AndδὲI hopeἐλπίζωthatὅτιyou will knowγνώσεσθεthatὅτιweἡμεῖςare notοὐκ ἐσμὲνdisqualified.ἀδόκιμοι
Nowδὲwe prayεὐχόμεθαtoπρὸςGodτὸν θεὸνthatyouὑμᾶςmay doποιῆσαιnothingμὴ μηδένwrong,κακὸνnotοὐχso thatἵναweἡμεῖςmay appearφανῶμενapproved,δόκιμοιbutἀλλ’so thatἵναyouὑμεῖςmay doποιῆτεwhat is good,τὸ καλὸνandδὲweἡμεῖςmay beὦμενas ifὡςdisqualified.ἀδόκιμοι
Forγὰρwe cannotοὐ δυνάμεθάdoanythingτιagainstκατὰthe truth,τῆς ἀληθείαςbutἀλλὰonlyforὑπὲρthe truth.τῆς ἀληθείας
Forγὰρwe rejoiceχαίρομενwhenὅτανweἡμεῖςare weakἀσθενῶμενandδὲyouὑμεῖςareἦτεstrong;δυνατοὶthisτοῦτοalsoκαὶwe pray for:εὐχόμεθαyour restoration.τὴν ὑμῶν κατάρτισιν
For this reasonδιὰ τοῦτοI writeγράφωthese thingsταῦταwhile absent,ἀπὼνso thatἵναwhen presentπαρὼνI may notμὴhave toactχρήσωμαιseverelyἀποτόμωςaccording toκατὰthe authorityτὴν ἐξουσίανthatἣνthe Lordὁ κύριοςgaveἔδωκένmeμοιforεἰςbuilding upοἰκοδομὴνandκαὶnotοὐκforεἰςdemolition.καθαίρεσιν
Finally,Λοιπόνbrothers,ἀδελφοίrejoice,χαίρετεbe restored,καταρτίζεσθεbe comforted,παρακαλεῖσθεthinkφρονεῖτεthe same thing,τὸ αὐτὸlive in peace;εἰρηνεύετεandκαὶthe Godὁ θεὸςof loveτῆς ἀγάπηςandκαὶpeaceεἰρήνηςwill beἔσταιwithμεθ’you.ὑμῶν
