throughδι’whomοὗwe receivedἐλάβομενgraceχάρινandκαὶapostleshipἀποστολὴνforεἰςthe obedienceὑπακοὴνof faithπίστεωςamongἐνallπᾶσινthe nationsτοῖς ἔθνεσινfor the sake ofὑπὲρhis name,τοῦ ὀνόματος αὐτοῦ
amongἐνwhomοἷςareἐστεyouὑμεῖςalso,καὶcalled onesκλητοὶof JesusἸησοῦthe Messiah;Χριστοῦ
to allπᾶσινwho areτοῖς οὖσινinἐνRome,Ῥώμῃbelovedἀγαπητοῖςof God,θεοῦcalledκλητοῖςto besaints:ἁγίοιςgraceχάριςto youὑμῖνandκαὶpeaceεἰρήνηfromἀπὸGodθεοῦour Fatherπατρὸς ἡμῶνandκαὶthe LordκυρίουJesusἸησοῦthe Messiah.Χριστοῦ
First,ΠρῶτονI thankεὐχαριστῶmy Godτῷ θεῷ μουthroughδιὰJesusἸησοῦthe MessiahΧριστοῦforπερὶallπάντωνof you,ὑμῶνbecauseὅτιyour faithἡ πίστις ὑμῶνis being proclaimedκαταγγέλλεταιinἐνthe wholeὅλῳworld.τῷ κόσμῳ
ForγάρGod,ὁ θεόςwhomᾧI serveλατρεύωinἐνmy spiritτῷ πνεύματί μουinἐνthe good newsτῷ εὐαγγελίῳof his Son,τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦisἐστινmyμούwitnessμάρτυςhowὡςunceasinglyἀδιαλείπτωςI makeποιοῦμαιmentionμνείανof you,ὑμῶν
alwaysπάντοτεinἐπὶmy prayers,τῶν προσευχῶν μουaskingδεόμενοςifεἴsomehowπωςnowἤδηat lastποτὲI will succeedεὐοδωθήσομαιbyἐνthe willτῷ θελήματιof Godτοῦ θεοῦin comingἐλθεῖνtoπρὸςyou.ὑμᾶς
ForγὰρI longἐπιποθῶto seeἰδεῖνyou,ὑμᾶςso thatἵναI may shareμεταδῶsomeτιspiritualπνευματικὸνgiftχάρισμαwith youὑμῖνforεἰς τὸyouὑμᾶςto be strengthened;στηριχθῆναι
thatτοῦτοis,ἐστινto be encouraged togetherσυμπαρακληθῆναιamongἐνyouὑμῖνthroughδιὰeach other’sἐν ἀλλήλοιςfaith,τῆς πίστεωςbothτεyoursὑμῶνandκαὶmine.ἐμοῦ
NowδὲI do notοὐwantθέλωyouὑμᾶςto be unaware,ἀγνοεῖνbrothers,ἀδελφοίthatὅτιoftenπολλάκιςI intendedπροεθέμηνto comeἐλθεῖνtoπρὸςyouὑμᾶς(andκαὶI have been preventedἐκωλύθηνuntilἄχρι τοῦnow),δεῦροso thatἵναI might haveσχῶsomeτινὰfruitκαρπὸνamongἐνyouὑμῖνalso,καὶjust asκαθὼς καὶamongἐνthe restτοῖς λοιποῖςof the nations.ἔθνεσιν
I amεἰμίa debtorὀφειλέτηςbothτεto GreeksἝλλησίνandκαὶto barbarians,βαρβάροιςbothτεto the wiseσοφοῖςandκαὶto the foolish.ἀνοήτοις
Soοὕτωςfor my partτὸ κατ’ ἐμὲI ameagerπρόθυμονto proclaim the good newsεὐαγγελίσασθαιalsoκαὶto youὑμῖνwho areτοῖςinἐνRome.Ῥώμῃ
ForγὰρI am notΟὐashamed ofἐπαισχύνομαιthe good news;τὸ εὐαγγέλιονforγὰρit isἐστινthe powerδύναμιςof Godθεοῦforεἰςsalvationσωτηρίανto everyoneπαντὶ τῷwho believes,πιστεύοντιbothτεto the JewἸουδαίῳfirstπρῶτονandκαὶto the Greek.Ἕλληνι
Forγὰρinἐνitαὐτῷthe righteousnessδικαιοσύνηof Godθεοῦis revealedἀποκαλύπτεταιfromἐκfaithπίστεωςtoεἰςfaith,πίστινasκαθὼςit is written:γέγραπταιTheὉrighteousδίκαιοςwill liveζήσεταιbyἐκfaith.πίστεως
Forγὰρthe wrathὀργὴof Godθεοῦis revealedἈποκαλύπτεταιfromἀπ’heavenοὐρανοῦagainstἐπὶallπᾶσανungodlinessἀσέβειανandκαὶunrighteousnessἀδικίανof peopleἀνθρώπωνwhoτῶνsuppressκατεχόντωνthe truthτὴν ἀλήθειανbyἐνunrighteousness,ἀδικίᾳ
becauseδιότιwhat can be knownτὸ γνωστὸνabout Godτοῦ θεοῦisἐστινplainφανερόνamongἐνthem,αὐτοῖςforγὰρGodὁ θεὸςmade it plainἐφανέρωσενto them.αὐτοῖς
Forγὰρsinceἀπὸthe creationκτίσεωςof the worldκόσμουhisαὐτοῦinvisible thingsτὰ ἀόραταare clearly seen,καθορᾶταιbeing understoodνοούμεναthrough the things made,τοῖς ποιήμασινbothτεhisαὐτοῦeternalἥ ἀΐδιοςpowerδύναμιςandκαὶdivinity,θειότηςso thatεἰς τὸthey areεἶναι αὐτοὺςwithout excuse.ἀναπολογήτους
Because,διότιalthough they knewγνόντεςGod,τὸν θεὸνthey did notοὐχglorify himἐδόξασανasὡςGodθεὸνorἢgive thanks,ηὐχαρίστησανbutἀλλὰthey became futileἐματαιώθησανinἐνtheir thoughts,τοῖς διαλογισμοῖς αὐτῶνandκαὶtheirαὐτῶνsenselessἀσύνετοςheartἡ καρδίαwas darkened.ἐσκοτίσθη
Claimingφάσκοντεςto beεἶναιwise,σοφοὶthey became fools,ἐμωράνθησαν
andκαὶexchangedἤλλαξανthe gloryτὴν δόξανof the incorruptibleτοῦ ἀφθάρτουGodθεοῦforἐνthe likenessὁμοιώματιof an imageεἰκόνοςof a corruptibleφθαρτοῦhuman beingἀνθρώπουandκαὶof birdsπετεινῶνandκαὶof four-footed animalsτετραπόδωνandκαὶof creeping things.ἑρπετῶν
ThereforeΔιὸGodὁ θεὸςhanded them overπαρέδωκεν αὐτοὺςinἐνthe desiresταῖς ἐπιθυμίαιςof their heartsτῶν καρδιῶν αὐτῶνtoεἰςimpurity,ἀκαθαρσίανto the dishonoringτοῦ ἀτιμάζεσθαιof their bodiesτὰ σώματα αὐτῶνamongἐνthemselves,αὐτοῖς
for theyοἵτινεςexchangedμετήλλαξανthe truthτὴν ἀλήθειανof Godτοῦ θεοῦforἐνthe lieτῷ ψεύδειandκαὶworshipedἐσεβάσθησανandκαὶservedἐλάτρευσανthe creationτῇ κτίσειrather thanπαρὰthe Creator,τὸν κτίσανταwhoὅςisἐστινblessedεὐλογητὸςforever.εἰς τοὺς αἰῶναςAmen.ἀμήν
For this reasonΔιὰ τοῦτοGodὁ θεὸςhanded them overπαρέδωκεν αὐτοὺςtoεἰςpassionsπάθηof dishonor;ἀτιμίαςforγὰρtheir femalesαἵ θήλειαι αὐτῶνexchangedμετήλλαξανthe naturalτὴν φυσικὴνuseχρῆσινforεἰςthatτὴνcontrary toπαρὰnature;φύσιν
andτεlikewiseὁμοίωςalsoκαὶthe males,οἱ ἄρσενεςleavingἀφέντεςthe naturalτὴν φυσικὴνuseχρῆσινof the female,τῆς θηλείαςwere inflamedἐξεκαύθησανinἐνtheir desireτῇ ὀρέξει αὐτῶνforεἰςone another,ἀλλήλουςmalesἄρσενεςwithἐνmalesἄρσεσινcommittingκατεργαζόμενοιthe indecencyτὴν ἀσχημοσύνηνandκαὶreceivingἀπολαμβάνοντεςinἐνthemselvesἑαυτοῖςthe penaltyτὴν ἀντιμισθίανthatἣνwas dueἔδειfor their error.τῆς πλάνης αὐτῶν
AndΚαὶsinceκαθὼςthey did notοὐκsee fitἐδοκίμασανto haveἔχεινGodτὸν θεὸνinἐνknowledge,ἐπιγνώσειGodὁ θεὸςhanded them overπαρέδωκεν αὐτοὺςtoεἰςan unfitἀδόκιμονmind,νοῦνto doποιεῖνthe thingsτὰthat are notμὴproper,καθήκοντα
filledπεπληρωμένουςwith allπάσῃunrighteousness,ἀδικίᾳwickedness,πονηρίᾳgreed,πλεονεξίᾳmalice;κακίᾳfullμεστοὺςof envy,φθόνουmurder,φόνουstrife,ἔριδοςdeceit,δόλουmalignity;κακοηθείαςthey aregossips,ψιθυριστάς
slanderers,καταλάλουςhaters of God,θεοστυγεῖςinsolent,ὑβριστάςarrogant,ὑπερηφάνουςboastful,ἀλαζόναςinventorsἐφευρετὰςof evil things,κακῶνdisobedientἀπειθεῖςto parents,γονεῦσιν
senseless,ἀσυνέτουςfaithless,ἀσυνθέτουςheartless,ἀστόργουςmerciless.ἀνελεήμονας
They,οἵτινεςthough they knowἐπιγνόντεςthe righteous decreeτὸ δικαίωμαof God,τοῦ θεοῦthatὅτιthose whoοἱpracticeπράσσοντεςsuch thingsτὰ τοιαῦταareεἰσίνworthyἄξιοιof death,θανάτουnotοὐonlyμόνονdoποιοῦσινthemαὐτὰbutἀλλὰalsoκαὶapprove ofσυνευδοκοῦσινthose whoτοῖςpractice them.πράσσουσιν
