Butδὲtheyοἱwere expectingπροσεδόκωνthat heαὐτὸνwas goingμέλλεινto swell upπίμπρασθαιorἢsuddenlyἄφνωfallκαταπίπτεινdead.νεκρόνButδὲafter theyαὐτῶνhad waitedπροσδοκώντωνa long timeἐπὶ πολὺandκαὶseenθεωρούντωνnothingμηδὲνunusualἄτοπονhappenγινόμενονtoεἰςhim,αὐτὸνthey changed their viewμεταβαλόμενοιandwere sayingἔλεγονthat heαὐτὸνwasεἶναιa god.θεόν

Butδὲwhen the Jewsτῶν Ἰουδαίωνobjected,ἀντιλεγόντωνI was forcedἠναγκάσθηνto appeal toἐπικαλέσασθαιCaesar,Καίσαραnotοὐχas thoughὡςI hadἔχωνanythingτιto accuseκατηγορεῖνmyμουnation of.τοῦ ἔθνους
Forδιὰthisταύτηνreason,τὴν αἰτίανtherefore,οὖνI have called forπαρεκάλεσαyou,ὑμᾶςto see youἰδεῖνandκαὶspeak with you;προσλαλῆσαιforγὰρbecause ofἕνεκενthe hopeτῆς ἐλπίδοςof Israelτοῦ ἸσραὴλI am wearingπερίκειμαιthisταύτηνchain.”τὴν ἅλυσιν
Andδὲtheyοἱsaidεἶπανtoπρὸςhim,αὐτὸν“WeἩμεῖςhave neitherοὔτεreceivedἐδεξάμεθαlettersγράμματαaboutπερὶyouσοῦfromἀπὸJudea,τῆς Ἰουδαίαςnorοὔτεhas anyτιςof the brothersτῶν ἀδελφῶνcomeπαραγενόμενόςandreportedἀπήγγειλενorἢspokenἐλάλησένanythingτιevilπονηρόνaboutπερὶyou.σοῦ
Butδὲwe think it rightἀξιοῦμενto hearἀκοῦσαιfromπαρὰyouσοῦwhatἃyou think;φρονεῖςforγὰρconcerningπερὶthisταύτηςpartyτῆς αἱρέσεωςit isἐστινknownγνωστὸνto usἡμῖνthatὅτιeverywhereπανταχοῦit is spoken against.”ἀντιλέγεται

Andκαὶsomeοἱ μὲνwere being persuadedἐπείθοντοby whatτοῖςwas said,λεγομένοιςbutδὲothersοἱdisbelieved.ἠπίστουν
Andδὲbeingὄντεςin disagreementἀσύμφωνοιwithπρὸςone another,ἀλλήλουςthey began to leave,ἀπελύοντοafter Paulτοῦ Παύλουhad saidεἰπόντοςoneἓνword:ῥῆμα“WellΚαλῶςdid the Holy Spiritτὸ πνεῦμα τὸ ἅγιονspeakἐλάλησενthroughδιὰIsaiahἨσαΐουthe prophetτοῦ προφήτουtoπρὸςyourὑμῶνfathers,τοὺς πατέρας
saying,λέγων‘GoΠορεύθητιtoπρὸςthisτοῦτονpeopleτὸν λαὸνandκαὶsay,εἰπόν“You will indeed hearἈκοῇ ἀκούσετεandκαὶneverοὐ μὴunderstand,συνῆτεandκαὶyou will indeed seeβλέποντες βλέψετεandκαὶneverοὐ μὴperceive.ἴδητε
Forγὰρthe heartἡ καρδίαof thisτούτουpeopleτοῦ λαοῦhas grown dull,ἐπαχύνθηandκαὶwith their earsτοῖς ὠσὶνthey have heardἤκουσανwith difficulty,βαρέωςandκαὶthey have closedἐκάμμυσανtheirαὐτῶνeyes,τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺςso that they do notμήποτεseeἴδωσινwith their eyesτοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖςandκαὶhearἀκούσωσινwith their earsτοῖς ὠσὶνandκαὶunderstandσυνῶσινwith their heartτῇ καρδίᾳandκαὶturn,ἐπιστρέψωσινandκαὶI will healἰάσομαιthem.”’αὐτούς
Thereforeοὖνlet it beἔστωknownγνωστὸνto youὑμῖνthatὅτιthisτοῦτοsalvationτὸ σωτήριονof Godτοῦ θεοῦhas been sentἀπεστάληto the nations;τοῖς ἔθνεσινtheyαὐτοὶwill alsoκαὶlisten.”ἀκούσονται
And when he had said these words, the Jews went away, having a great dispute among themselves.
