thatεἰς τὸyouὑμᾶςnotμὴbe quicklyταχέωςshakenσαλευθῆναιfromἀπὸyour mindτοῦ νοὸςorμηδὲalarmed,θροεῖσθαιwhetherμήτεbyδιὰa spiritπνεύματοςorμήτεbyδιὰa wordλόγουorμήτεbyδι’a letterἐπιστολῆςas ifὡςfromδι’us,ἡμῶνto the effectὡςthatὅτιthe dayἡ ἡμέραof the Lordτοῦ κυρίουis here.ἐνέστηκεν
Let no oneμή τιςdeceiveἐξαπατήσῃyouὑμᾶςinκατὰanyμηδέναway.τρόπονForὅτιthat day will not come unlessἐὰν μὴthe apostasyἡ ἀποστασίαcomesἔλθῃfirstπρῶτονandκαὶthe manὁ ἄνθρωποςof lawlessnessτῆς ἀνομίαςis revealed,ἀποκαλυφθῇthe sonὁ υἱὸςof destruction,τῆς ἀπωλείας
whoὁopposesἀντικείμενοςandκαὶexalts himselfὑπεραιρόμενοςaboveἐπὶeveryπάνταso-calledλεγόμενονgodθεὸνorἢobject of worship,σέβασμαso thatὥστεheαὐτὸνtakes his seatκαθίσαιinεἰςthe sanctuaryτὸν ναὸνof God,τοῦ θεοῦproclaimingἀποδεικνύνταthatὅτιhe himselfἑαυτὸνisἔστινGod.θεός
Do you notοὐrememberμνημονεύετεthatὅτιwhile I wasὢνstillἔτιwithπρὸςyouὑμᾶςI was tellingἔλεγονyouὑμῖνthese things?ταῦτα
Andκαὶnowνῦνyou knowοἴδατεwhat restrains him,τὸ κατέχονso thatεἰς τὸhe may be revealedἀποκαλυφθῆναι αὐτὸνinἐνhis ownτῷ ἑαυτοῦtime.καιρῷ
Forγὰρthe mysteryτὸ μυστήριονof lawlessnessτῆς ἀνομίαςis alreadyἤδηat work;ἐνεργεῖταιonlyμόνονthe one who restrainsὁ κατέχωνdoes so nowἄρτιuntilἕωςhe is takenγένηταιout ofἐκthe way.μέσου
Andκαὶthenτότεthe lawless oneὁ ἄνομοςwill be revealed,ἀποκαλυφθήσεταιwhomὃνthe Lordὁ κύριοςJesusἸησοῦςwill killἀνελεῖwith the breathτῷ πνεύματιof his mouthτοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦandκαὶbring to nothingκαταργήσειby the radianceτῇ ἐπιφανείᾳof his coming,τῆς παρουσίας αὐτοῦ
whoseοὗcomingἡ παρουσίαisἐστινin accordance withκατ’the workingἐνέργειανof Satanτοῦ Σατανᾶwithἐνallπάσῃpowerδυνάμειandκαὶsignsσημείοιςandκαὶwondersτέρασινof falsehood,ψεύδους
andκαὶwithἐνallπάσῃdeceptionἀπάτῃof unrighteousnessἀδικίαςfor those who are perishing,τοῖς ἀπολλυμένοιςbecauseἀνθ’ ὧνthey did notοὐκreceiveἐδέξαντοthe loveτὴν ἀγάπηνof the truthτῆς ἀληθείαςso that theyεἰς τὸ αὐτούςmight be saved.σωθῆναι
Andκαὶfor this reasonδιὰ τοῦτοGodὁ θεὸςsendsπέμπειthemαὐτοῖςa workingἐνέργειανof error,πλάνηςso thatεἰς τὸtheyαὐτοὺςbelieveπιστεῦσαιthe lie,τῷ ψεύδει
so thatἵναallπάντεςmay be judgedκριθῶσινwhoοἱdid notμὴbelieveπιστεύσαντεςthe truthτῇ ἀληθείᾳbutἀλλὰtook pleasureεὐδοκήσαντεςin unrighteousness.τῇ ἀδικίᾳ
ButδὲweἩμεῖςoughtὀφείλομενto give thanksεὐχαριστεῖνto Godτῷ θεῷalwaysπάντοτεforπερὶyou,ὑμῶνbrothersἀδελφοὶlovedἠγαπημένοιbyὑπὸthe Lord,κυρίουbecauseὅτιGodὁ θεὸςchoseεἵλατοyouὑμᾶςas firstfruitsἀπαρχὴνforεἰςsalvationσωτηρίανthroughἐνsanctificationἁγιασμῷby the Spiritπνεύματοςandκαὶfaithπίστειin the truth,ἀληθείας
toεἰςwhichὃhe calledἐκάλεσενyouὑμᾶςthroughδιὰourἡμῶνgood news,τοῦ εὐαγγελίουforεἰςobtainingπεριποίησινthe gloryδόξηςof our Lordτοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶνJesusἸησοῦthe Messiah.Χριστοῦ
So then,ἄρα οὖνbrothers,ἀδελφοίstand firmστήκετεandκαὶhold fastκρατεῖτεthe traditionsτὰς παραδόσειςthatἃςyou were taught,ἐδιδάχθητεwhetherεἴτεbyδιὰwordλόγουorεἴτεbyδι’ourἡμῶνletter.ἐπιστολῆς

comfortπαρακαλέσαιyourὑμῶνheartsτὰς καρδίαςandκαὶstrengthen themστηρίξαιinἐνeveryπαντὶgoodἀγαθῷworkἔργῳandκαὶword.λόγῳ
