since we heardἀκούσαντεςof yourὑμῶνfaithτὴν πίστινinἐνthe MessiahΧριστῷJesusἸησοῦandκαὶof the loveτὴν ἀγάπηνthatἣνyou haveἔχετεforεἰςallπάνταςthe saints,τοὺς ἁγίους
because ofδιὰthe hopeτὴν ἐλπίδαlaid upτὴν ἀποκειμένηνfor youὑμῖνinἐνthe heavens,τοῖς οὐρανοῖςof whichἣνyou heard beforeπροηκούσατεinἐνthe wordτῷ λόγῳof the truthτῆς ἀληθείαςof the good newsτοῦ εὐαγγελίου
that has comeτοῦ παρόντοςtoεἰςyou,ὑμᾶςjust asκαθὼςalsoκαὶinἐνallπαντὶthe worldτῷ κόσμῳit isἐστὶνbearing fruitκαρποφορούμενονandκαὶgrowing,αὐξανόμενονjust asκαθὼςit is alsoκαὶamongἐνyou,ὑμῖνfrom the dayἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέραςyou heardἠκούσατεandκαὶcame to knowἐπέγνωτεthe graceτὴν χάρινof Godτοῦ θεοῦinἐνtruth;ἀληθείᾳ
just asκαθὼςyou learned itἐμάθετεfromἀπὸEpaphrasἘπαφρᾶourἡμῶνbelovedτοῦ ἀγαπητοῦfellow slave,συνδούλουwhoὅςisἐστινa faithfulπιστὸςservantδιάκονοςof the Messiahτοῦ Χριστοῦon behalf ofὑπὲρus,ἡμῶν
whoὁalsoκαὶmade knownδηλώσαςto usἡμῖνyourὑμῶνloveτὴν ἀγάπηνinἐνthe Spirit.πνεύματι
For this reasonΔιὰ τοῦτοweἡμεῖςalso,καὶfrom the dayἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέραςwe heard it,ἠκούσαμενhave notοὐstoppedπαυόμεθαprayingπροσευχόμενοιforὑπὲρyouὑμῶνandκαὶaskingαἰτούμενοιthatἵναyou may be filled withπληρωθῆτεthe knowledgeτὴν ἐπίγνωσινof his willτοῦ θελήματος αὐτοῦinἐνallπάσῃspiritualπνευματικῇwisdomσοφίᾳandκαὶunderstanding,συνέσει
to walkπεριπατῆσαιin a manner worthyἀξίωςof the Lord,τοῦ κυρίουtoεἰςplease himἀρεσκείανin every way,πᾶσανbearing fruitκαρποφοροῦντεςinἐνeveryπαντὶgoodἀγαθῷworkἔργῳandκαὶgrowingαὐξανόμενοιin the knowledgeτῇ ἐπιγνώσειof God,τοῦ θεοῦ
being strengthenedδυναμούμενοιwithἐνallπάσῃpowerδυνάμειaccording toκατὰthe mightτὸ κράτοςof his gloryτῆς δόξης αὐτοῦforεἰςallπᾶσανenduranceὑπομονὴνandκαὶpatience,μακροθυμίανwithμετὰjoyχαρᾶς
giving thanksεὐχαριστοῦντεςto the Fatherτῷ πατρὶwho has qualifiedτῷ ἱκανώσαντιyouὑμᾶςforεἰςthe shareτὴν μερίδαof the inheritanceτοῦ κλήρουof the saintsτῶν ἁγίωνinἐνthe light.τῷ φωτί
Heὃςrescuedἐρρύσατοusἡμᾶςfromἐκthe authorityτῆς ἐξουσίαςof darknessτοῦ σκότουςandκαὶtransferred usμετέστησενintoεἰςthe kingdomτὴν βασιλείανof the Sonτοῦ υἱοῦof his love,τῆς ἀγάπης αὐτοῦ
inἐνwhomᾧwe haveἔχομενthe redemption,τὴν ἀπολύτρωσινthe forgivenessτὴν ἄφεσινof sins.τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν
Heὅςisἐστινthe imageεἰκὼνof the invisibleτοῦ ἀοράτουGod,τοῦ θεοῦthe firstbornπρωτότοκοςof allπάσηςcreation,κτίσεως
becauseὅτιinἐνhimαὐτῷall thingsτὰ πάνταwere created,ἐκτίσθηinἐνthe heavensτοῖς οὐρανοῖςandκαὶonἐπὶthe earth,τῆς γῆςthe visibleτὰ ὁρατὰandκαὶthe invisible,τὰ ἀόραταwhetherεἴτεthronesθρόνοιorεἴτεdominionsκυριότητεςorεἴτεprincipalitiesἀρχαὶorεἴτεauthorities;ἐξουσίαιall thingsτὰ πάνταhave been createdἔκτισταιthroughδι’himαὐτοῦandκαὶforεἰςhim.αὐτὸν
Andκαὶheαὐτόςisἐστινbeforeπρὸall things,πάντωνandκαὶall thingsτὰ πάνταhold togetherσυνέστηκενinἐνhim.αὐτῷ
Andκαὶheαὐτόςisἐστινthe headἡ κεφαλὴof the body,τοῦ σώματοςthe assembly.τῆς ἐκκλησίαςHeὅςisἐστινthe beginning,ἀρχήthe firstbornπρωτότοκοςfromἐκthe dead,τῶν νεκρῶνso thatἵναhe himselfαὐτὸςmay come to beγένηταιfirstπρωτεύωνinἐνall things,πᾶσιν
becauseὅτιGod was pleasedεὐδόκησενfor allπᾶνthe fullnessτὸ πλήρωμαto dwellκατοικῆσαιinἐνhim,αὐτῷ
andκαὶthroughδι’himαὐτοῦto reconcileἀποκαταλλάξαιall thingsτὰ πάνταtoεἰςhimself,αὐτόνmaking peaceεἰρηνοποιήσαςthroughδιὰthe bloodτοῦ αἵματοςof his cross,τοῦ σταυροῦ αὐτοῦthroughδι’him,αὐτοῦwhetherεἴτεthe thingsτὰonἐπὶthe earthτῆς γῆςorεἴτεthe thingsτὰinἐνthe heavens.τοῖς οὐρανοῖς
Andκαὶyou,ὑμᾶςwho wereὄνταςonceποτεalienatedἀπηλλοτριωμένουςandκαὶenemiesἐχθροὺςin mindτῇ διανοίᾳinἐνevilτοῖς πονηροῖςworks,τοῖς ἔργοις
butδὲnowνυνὶyou have been reconciledἀποκατηλλάγητεinἐνthe bodyτῷ σώματιof his fleshτῆς σαρκὸς αὐτοῦthroughδιὰdeath,τοῦ θανάτουto presentπαραστῆσαιyouὑμᾶςholyἁγίουςandκαὶwithout blemishἀμώμουςandκαὶabove reproachἀνεγκλήτουςbeforeκατενώπιονhim,αὐτοῦ

NowΝῦνI rejoiceχαίρωinἐνmy sufferingsτοῖς παθήμασινforὑπὲρyour sake,ὑμῶνandκαὶI fill upἀνταναπληρῶinἐνmy fleshτῇ σαρκί μουwhat is lackingτὰ ὑστερήματαof the afflictionsτῶν θλίψεωνof the Messiahτοῦ Χριστοῦfor the sake ofὑπὲρhis body,τοῦ σώματος αὐτοῦwhichὅisἐστινthe assembly,ἡ ἐκκλησία

the mysteryτὸ μυστήριονthat has been hiddenτὸ ἀποκεκρυμμένονfromἀπὸthe agesτῶν αἰώνωνandκαὶfromἀπὸthe generations,τῶν γενεῶνbutδὲnowνῦνhas been made manifestἐφανερώθηto his saints,τοῖς ἁγίοις αὐτοῦ
to whomοἷςGodὁ θεὸςwilledἠθέλησενto make knownγνωρίσαιwhatτίis the richesτὸ πλοῦτοςof the gloryτῆς δόξηςof thisτούτουmysteryτοῦ μυστηρίουamongἐνthe nations,τοῖς ἔθνεσινwhichὅisἐστινthe MessiahΧριστὸςinἐνyou,ὑμῖνthe hopeἡ ἐλπὶςof glory.τῆς δόξης
Himὃνweἡμεῖςproclaim,καταγγέλλομενadmonishingνουθετοῦντεςeveryπάνταpersonἄνθρωπονandκαὶteachingδιδάσκοντεςeveryπάνταpersonἄνθρωπονinἐνallπάσῃwisdom,σοφίᾳso thatἵναwe may presentπαραστήσωμενeveryπάνταpersonἄνθρωπονmatureτέλειονinἐνthe Messiah.Χριστῷ
