Youאַתֶּםare sonsבָּנִיםof YHWHלַיהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵיכֶםYou shall notלֹאcut yourselvesתִתְגֹּדְדוּorוְmakeלֹא תָשִׂימוּany baldnessקָרְחָהbetweenבֵּיןyour eyesעֵינֵיכֶםfor the dead,לָמֵת
forכִּיyou areאַתָּהa holyקָדוֹשׁpeopleעַםto YHWHלַיהוָהyour Elohim,אֱלֹהֶיךָand YHWHוּ יְהוָהhas chosenבָּחַרyouבְךָto beלִהְיוֹתfor himלוֹa people,לְעַםhis special treasure,סְגֻלָּהout of allמִכֹּלthe peoplesהָעַמִּיםthat areאֲשֶׁרonעַלthe faceפְּנֵיof the ground.הָאֲדָמָה
You shall notלֹאeatתֹאכַלanyכָּלabomination.תּוֹעֵבָה
Theseזֹאתare the beastsהַבְּהֵמָהthatאֲשֶׁרyou may eat:תֹּאכֵלוּthe ox,שׁוֹרthe sheepשֵׂה כְשָׂבִיםand the goat,וְשֵׂה עִזִּים
the deer,אַיָּלthe gazelle,וּצְבִיthe roebuck,וְיַחְמוּרthe wild goat,וְאַקּוֹthe ibex,וְדִישֹׁןthe antelope,וּתְאוֹand the mountain sheep.וָזָמֶר
And everyוְכָלbeastבְּהֵמָהthat has a parted hoof,מַפְרֶסֶת פַּרְסָהsplitוְשֹׁסַעַת שֶׁסַעinto twoשְׁתֵּיhoofs,פְרָסוֹתand chewsמַעֲלַתthe cudגֵּרָהamong the beasts,בַּבְּהֵמָהitאֹתָהּyou may eat.תֹּאכֵלוּ
Butאַךְtheseאֶת זֶהyou shall notלֹאeatתֹאכְלוּof those that chewמִמַּעֲלֵיthe cudהַגֵּרָהor of those that haveוּמִמַּפְרִיסֵיthe hoofהַפַּרְסָהpartedהַשְּׁסוּעָהin two:the camel,אֶת הַגָּמָלthe hare,וְאֶת הָאַרְנֶבֶתand the rock badger,וְאֶת הַשָּׁפָןbecauseכִּיtheyהֵמָּהchewמַעֲלֵהthe cudגֵרָהbut do notוּ לֹאpartהִפְרִיסוּthe hoof;פַרְסָהthey are uncleanטְמֵאִים הֵםfor you.לָכֶם
And the pig,וְאֶת הַחֲזִירbecauseכִּיitהוּאpartsמַפְרִיסthe hoofפַּרְסָהbut does not chewוְלֹאthe cud,גֵרָהit is uncleanטָמֵא הוּאfor you.לָכֶםOf their fleshמִבְּשָׂרָםyou shall notלֹאeat,תֹאכֵלוּand their carcassesוּבְנִבְלָתָםyou shall notלֹאtouch.תִגָּעוּ
Thisאֶת זֶהyou may eatתֹּאכְלוּof allמִכֹּלthatאֲשֶׁרis in the water:בַּמָּיִםallכֹּלthatאֲשֶׁרhasלוֹfinsסְנַפִּירand scalesוְקַשְׂקֶשֶׂתyou may eat.תֹּאכֵלוּ
And allוְכֹלthatאֲשֶׁרdoes not haveאֵין לוֹfinsסְנַפִּירand scalesוְקַשְׂקֶשֶׂתyou shall notלֹאeat;תֹאכֵלוּit is uncleanטָמֵא הוּאfor you.לָכֶם
Everyכָּלcleanטְהֹרָהbirdצִפּוֹרyou may eat.תֹּאכֵלוּ
But theseוְזֶהare the ones thatאֲשֶׁרyou shall notלֹאeatתֹאכְלוּof them:מֵהֶםthe eagle,הַנֶּשֶׁרthe bearded vulture,וְהַפֶּרֶסthe sea eagle,וְהָעָזְנִיָּה
the kite,וְהָרָאָהthe falcon,וְאֶת הָאַיָּהand the harrierוְהַדַּיָּהof every kind,לְמִינָהּ
everyוְאֵת כָּלkindלְמִינוֹof raven,עֹרֵב
the ostrich,וְאֵת בַּת הַיַּעֲנָהthe owl,וְאֶת הַתַּחְמָסthe gull,וְאֶת הַשָּׁחַףand the hawkוְאֶת הַנֵּץof every kind,לְמִינֵהוּ
the great owl,אֶת הַכּוֹסthe ibis,וְאֶת הַיַּנְשׁוּףthe white owl,וְהַתִּנְשָׁמֶת
the pelican,וְהַקָּאָתthe vulture,וְאֶת הָרָחָמָהthe cormorant,וְאֶת הַשָּׁלָךְ
the stork,וְהַחֲסִידָהthe heronוְהָאֲנָפָהof every kind,לְמִינָהּthe hoopoe,וְהַדּוּכִיפַתand the bat.וְהָעֲטַלֵּף
And everyוְכֹלwingedהָעוֹףswarming thingשֶׁרֶץis uncleanטָמֵא הוּאfor you;לָכֶםthey shall notלֹאbe eaten.יֵאָכֵלוּ
Everyכָּלcleanטָהוֹרbirdעוֹףyou may eat.תֹּאכֵלוּ
You shall notלֹאeatתֹאכְלוּanyכָלcarcass;נְבֵלָהto the resident alienלַגֵּרwho isאֲשֶׁרwithin your gatesבִּשְׁעָרֶיךָyou may give it,תִּתְּנֶנָּהand he may eat it,וַאֲכָלָהּorאוֹsell itמָכֹרto a foreigner,לְנָכְרִיforכִּיyou areאַתָּהa holyקָדוֹשׁpeopleעַםto YHWHלַיהוָהyour Elohim.אֱלֹהֶיךָYou shall notלֹאboilתְבַשֵּׁלa young goatגְּדִיin the milkבַּחֲלֵבof its mother.אִמּוֹ
You shall surely titheעַשֵּׂר תְּעַשֵּׂרallאֵת כָּלthe produceתְּבוּאַתof your seedזַרְעֶךָthat comes outהַיֹּצֵאof the fieldהַשָּׂדֶהyearשָׁנָהby year.שָׁנָה
And you shall eatוְאָכַלְתָּbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim,אֱלֹהֶיךָin the placeבַּמָּקוֹםthatאֲשֶׁרhe choosesיִבְחַרto makeלְשַׁכֵּןhis nameשְׁמוֹdwellשַׁכֵּןthere,שָׁםthe titheמַעְשַׂרof your grain,דְּגָנְךָyour new wine,תִּירֹשְׁךָand your oil,וְיִצְהָרֶךָand the firstbornוּבְכֹרֹתof your herdבְּקָרְךָand your flock,וְצֹאנֶךָso thatלְמַעַןyou may learnתִּלְמַדto fearלְיִרְאָהYHWHאֶת יְהוָהyour Elohimאֱלֹהֶיךָallכָּלthe days.הַיָּמִים
But ifוְכִיthe wayהַדֶּרֶךְis too longיִרְבֶּהfor you,מִמְּךָso thatכִּיyou are notלֹאableתוּכַלto carry it,שְׂאֵתוֹbecauseכִּיthe placeהַמָּקוֹםthatאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohimאֱלֹהֶיךָchoosesיִבְחַרto putלָשׂוּםhis nameשְׁמוֹthereשָׁםis farיִרְחַקfrom you,מִמְּךָwhenכִּיYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohimאֱלֹהֶיךָblesses you,יְבָרֶכְךָ
then you shall turn itוְנָתַתָּהinto silver,בַּכָּסֶףand bind upוְצַרְתָּthe silverהַכֶּסֶףin your hand,בְּיָדְךָand goוְהָלַכְתָּto the placeאֶל הַמָּקוֹםthatאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohimאֱלֹהֶיךָchooses.יִבְחַר בּוֹ
And you shall spendוְנָתַתָּהthe silverהַכֶּסֶףon allבְּכֹלthatאֲשֶׁרyour soulנַפְשְׁךָdesires:תְּאַוֶּהon oxenבַּבָּקָרor on sheep,וּבַצֹּאןon wineוּבַיַּיִןor on intoxicating drink,וּבַשֵּׁכָרor on anythingוּבְכֹלthatאֲשֶׁרyour soulנַפְשֶׁךָasks of you;תִּשְׁאָלְךָand you shall eatוְאָכַלְתָּthereשָּׁםbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohimאֱלֹהֶיךָand rejoice,וְשָׂמַחְתָּyouאַתָּהand your household.וּבֵיתֶךָ
And the Leviteוְהַלֵּוִיwho isאֲשֶׁרwithin your gates,בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָyou shall notלֹאabandon him,תַעַזְבֶנּוּforכִּיhe has noאֵין לוֹportionחֵלֶקor inheritanceוְנַחֲלָהwith you.עִמָּךְ
At the endמִקְצֵהof every threeשָׁלֹשׁyearsשָׁנִיםyou shall bring outתּוֹצִיאallאֶת כָּלthe titheמַעְשַׂרof your produceתְּבוּאָתְךָin thatהַהִואyearבַּשָּׁנָהand lay it upוְהִנַּחְתָּwithin your gates.בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ
And the Leviteוּ הַלֵּוִיshall come,בָאbecauseכִּיhe has noאֵין לוֹportionחֵלֶקor inheritanceוְנַחֲלָהwith you,עִמָּךְand the resident alien,וְהַגֵּרthe orphan,וְהַיָּתוֹםand the widowוְהָאַלְמָנָהwho areאֲשֶׁרwithin your gates,בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָand they shall eatוְאָכְלוּand be satisfied,וְשָׂבֵעוּso thatלְמַעַןYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohimאֱלֹהֶיךָmay bless youיְבָרֶכְךָin allבְּכָלthe workמַעֲשֵׂהof your handיָדְךָthatאֲשֶׁרyou do.תַּעֲשֶׂה
