AndוַYHWHיְהוָהspokeיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“On the dayבְּיוֹםof the firstהָרִאשׁוֹןmonth,הַחֹדֶשׁon the first dayבְּאֶחָדof the month,לַחֹדֶשׁyou shall set upתָּקִיםthe dwelling,אֶת מִשְׁכַּןthe tentאֹהֶלof meeting.מוֹעֵד
And you shall putוְשַׂמְתָּthereשָׁםthe arkאֵת אֲרוֹןof the testimony,הָעֵדוּתand you shall screenוְסַכֹּתָthe arkעַל הָאָרֹןwith the veil.אֶת הַפָּרֹכֶת
And you shall bring inוְהֵבֵאתָthe tableאֶת הַשֻּׁלְחָןand set in orderוְעָרַכְתָּwhat belongs on it;אֶת עֶרְכּוֹand you shall bring inוְהֵבֵאתָthe lampstandאֶת הַמְּנֹרָהand set upוְהַעֲלֵיתָits lamps.אֶת נֵרֹתֶיהָ
And you shall putוְנָתַתָּהthe goldenהַזָּהָבaltarאֶת מִזְבַּחfor incenseלִקְטֹרֶתbeforeלִפְנֵיthe arkאֲרוֹןof the testimony,הָעֵדֻתand you shall putוְשַׂמְתָּthe screenאֶת מָסַךְof the entranceהַפֶּתַחfor the dwelling.לַמִּשְׁכָּן
And you shall putוְנָתַתָּהthe altarאֵת מִזְבַּחof burnt offeringהָעֹלָהbeforeלִפְנֵיthe entranceפֶּתַחof the dwelling,מִשְׁכַּןthe tentאֹהֶלof meeting.מוֹעֵד
And you shall putוְנָתַתָּthe basinאֶת הַכִּיֹּרbetweenבֵּיןthe tentאֹהֶלof meetingמוֹעֵדandוּבֵיןthe altar,הַמִּזְבֵּחַand you shall putוְנָתַתָּwaterמָיִםin it.שָׁם
And you shall set upוְשַׂמְתָּthe courtyardאֶת הֶחָצֵרall around,סָבִיבand you shall putוְנָתַתָּthe screenאֶת מָסַךְof the gateשַׁעַרof the courtyard.הֶחָצֵר
And you shall takeוְלָקַחְתָּthe anointingהַמִּשְׁחָהoilאֶת שֶׁמֶןand anointוּמָשַׁחְתָּthe dwellingאֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּןand allוְאֶת כָּלthatאֲשֶׁרis in it,בּוֹand consecrateוְקִדַּשְׁתָּitאֹתוֹand allוְאֶת כָּלits utensils;כֵּלָיוand it shall beוְהָיָהholy.קֹדֶשׁ
And you shall anointוּמָשַׁחְתָּthe altarאֶת מִזְבַּחof burnt offeringהָעֹלָהand allוְאֶת כָּלits utensils,כֵּלָיוand consecrateוְקִדַּשְׁתָּthe altar,אֶת הַמִּזְבֵּחַand the altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַshall beוְהָיָהmost holy.קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁים
And you shall anointוּמָשַׁחְתָּthe basinאֶת הַכִּיֹּרand its stand,וְאֶת כַּנּוֹand consecrateוְקִדַּשְׁתָּit.אֹתוֹ
And you shall bringוְהִקְרַבְתָּAaronאֶת אַהֲרֹןand his sonsוְאֶת בָּנָיוnear toאֶלthe entranceפֶּתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדand washוְרָחַצְתָּthemאֹתָםwith water.בַּמָּיִם
And you shall clotheוְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּAaronאֶת אַהֲרֹןwith the holyהַקֹּדֶשׁgarments,אֵת בִּגְדֵיand anointוּמָשַׁחְתָּhimאֹתוֹand consecrateוְקִדַּשְׁתָּhim,אֹתוֹso that he may serve as priestוְכִהֵןto me.לִי
And his sonsוְאֶת בָּנָיוyou shall bring nearתַּקְרִיבand clotheוְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּthemאֹתָםwith tunics.כֻּתֳּנֹת
And you shall anointוּמָשַׁחְתָּthemאֹתָםasכַּאֲשֶׁרyou anointedמָשַׁחְתָּtheir father,אֶת אֲבִיהֶםso that they may serve as priestsוְכִהֲנוּto me;לִיand their anointingמָשְׁחָתָםshall beוְהָיְתָה לִהְיֹתfor themלָהֶםfor an eternalלִ עוֹלָםpriesthoodכְהֻנַּתthroughout their generations.”לְדֹרֹתָם
And Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהdidיַּעַשׂaccording to allכְּכֹלthatאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהhim;אֹתוֹsoכֵּןhe did.עָשָׂה
And it happenedוַיְהִיin the firstהָרִאשׁוֹןmonthבַּחֹדֶשׁin the secondהַשֵּׁנִיתyear,בַּשָּׁנָהon the first dayבְּאֶחָדof the month,לַחֹדֶשׁthat the dwellingהַמִּשְׁכָּןwas set up.הוּקַם
And Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהset upיָּקֶםthe dwelling,אֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּןand putוַיִּתֵּןits bases,אֶת אֲדָנָיוand setוַיָּשֶׂםits boards,אֶת קְרָשָׁיוand putוַיִּתֵּןits bars,אֶת בְּרִיחָיוand set upוַיָּקֶםits pillars.אֶת עַמּוּדָיו
And he spreadוַיִּפְרֹשׂthe tentאֶת הָאֹהֶלover the dwelling,עַל הַמִּשְׁכָּןand putוַיָּשֶׂםthe coveringאֶת מִכְסֵהof the tentהָאֹהֶלon itעָלָיוabove,מִלְמָעְלָהasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
And he tookוַיִּקַּחand putוַיִּתֵּןthe testimonyאֶת הָעֵדֻתinto the ark,אֶל הָאָרֹןand setוַיָּשֶׂםthe polesאֶת הַבַּדִּיםon the ark,עַל הָאָרֹןand putוַיִּתֵּןthe cover of expiationאֶת הַכַּפֹּרֶתon the arkעַל הָאָרֹןabove.מִלְמָעְלָה
And he broughtוַיָּבֵאthe arkאֶת הָאָרֹןinto the dwelling,אֶל הַמִּשְׁכָּןand set upוַיָּשֶׂםthe veilאֵת פָּרֹכֶתthat screens it,הַמָּסָךְand screenedוַיָּסֶךְthe arkעַל אֲרוֹןof the testimony,הָעֵדוּתasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
And he putוַיִּתֵּןthe tableאֶת הַשֻּׁלְחָןin the tentבְּאֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדon the sideעַל יֶרֶךְof the dwellingהַמִּשְׁכָּןnorthward,צָפֹנָהoutsideמִחוּץthe veil,לַפָּרֹכֶת
and he set in orderוַיַּעֲרֹךְon itעָלָיוan arrangementעֵרֶךְof breadלֶחֶםbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH,יְהוָהasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
And he putוַיָּשֶׂםthe lampstandאֶת הַמְּנֹרָהin the tentבְּאֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדoppositeנֹכַחthe table,הַשֻּׁלְחָןon the sideעַל יֶרֶךְof the dwellingהַמִּשְׁכָּןsouthward,נֶגְבָּה
and he set upוַיַּעַלthe lampsהַנֵּרֹתbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH,יְהוָהasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
And he putוַיָּשֶׂםthe goldenהַזָּהָבaltarאֶת מִזְבַּחin the tentבְּאֹהֶלof meetingמוֹעֵדbeforeלִפְנֵיthe veil,הַפָּרֹכֶת
and he offered up in smokeוַיַּקְטֵרon itעָלָיוfragrantסַמִּיםincense,קְטֹרֶתasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
And he putוַיָּשֶׂםthe screenאֶת מָסַךְof the entranceהַפֶּתַחfor the dwelling.לַמִּשְׁכָּן
And the altarוְאֵת מִזְבַּחof burnt offeringהָעֹלָהhe putשָׂםat the entranceפֶּתַחof the dwelling,מִשְׁכַּןthe tentאֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדand offeredוַיַּעַלon itעָלָיוthe burnt offeringאֶת הָעֹלָהand the grain offering,וְאֶת הַמִּנְחָהasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
And he putוַיָּשֶׂםthe basinאֶת הַכִּיֹּרbetweenבֵּיןthe tentאֹהֶלof meetingמוֹעֵדandוּבֵיןthe altar,הַמִּזְבֵּחַand putוַיִּתֵּןwaterמַיִםthereשָׁמָּהfor washing.לְרָחְצָה
And Mosesוְ מֹשֶׁהand Aaronוְאַהֲרֹןand his sonsוּבָנָיוwould washרָחֲצוּfrom itמִמֶּנּוּtheir handsאֶת יְדֵיהֶםand their feet.וְאֶת רַגְלֵיהֶם
When they wentבְּבֹאָםinto the tentאֶל אֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדand when they came nearוּבְקָרְבָתָםto the altar,אֶל הַמִּזְבֵּחַthey would wash,יִרְחָצוּasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
And he set upוַיָּקֶםthe courtyardאֶת הֶחָצֵרall aroundסָבִיבthe dwellingלַמִּשְׁכָּןand the altar,וְלַמִּזְבֵּחַand putוַיִּתֵּןthe screenאֶת מָסַךְof the gateשַׁעַרof the courtyard.הֶחָצֵרSo Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהfinishedיְכַלthe work.אֶת הַמְּלָאכָה
Then the cloudוַ הֶעָנָןcoveredיְכַסthe tentאֶת אֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדand the gloryוּכְבוֹדof YHWHיְהוָהfilledמָלֵאthe dwelling.אֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּן
And Mosesוְ מֹשֶׁהwas notלֹאableיָכֹלto enterלָבוֹאthe tentאֶל אֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדforכִּיthe cloudהֶעָנָןdweltשָׁכַןon it,עָלָיוand the gloryוּכְבוֹדof YHWHיְהוָהfilledמָלֵאthe dwelling.אֶת הַמִּשְׁכָּן
And wheneverוּבְthe cloudהֶעָנָןwas taken upהֵעָלוֹתfrom overמֵעַלthe dwelling,הַמִּשְׁכָּןthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלwould set out,יִסְעוּin allבְּכֹלtheir journeys.מַסְעֵיהֶם
But ifוְאִםthe cloudהֶעָנָןwas notלֹאtaken up,יֵעָלֶהthey would notוְלֹאset outיִסְעוּuntilעַדthe dayיוֹםthat it was taken up.הֵעָלֹתוֹ
For the cloudכִּי עֲנַןof YHWHיְהוָהwas on the dwellingעַל הַמִּשְׁכָּןby day,יוֹמָםand fireוְאֵשׁwasתִּהְיֶהin itבּוֹby night,לַיְלָהbefore the eyesלְעֵינֵיof allכָלthe houseבֵּיתof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלin allבְּכָלtheir journeys.מַסְעֵיהֶם
