Of everyמִכֹּלcleanהַטְּהוֹרָהanimalהַבְּהֵמָהyou shall takeתִּקַּחfor yourselfלְךָsevenשִׁבְעָהandseven,שִׁבְעָהthe maleאִישׁand its female;וְאִשְׁתּוֹand of the animalsוּמִן הַבְּהֵמָהthatאֲשֶׁרarenotלֹאclean,טְהֹרָהtheyהִואaretwo,שְׁנַיִםthe maleאִישׁand its female;וְאִשְׁתּוֹ
alsoגַּםof the birdsמֵעוֹףof the skyהַשָּׁמַיִםsevenשִׁבְעָהandseven,שִׁבְעָהmaleזָכָרand female,וּנְקֵבָהto keepלְחַיּוֹתoffspringזֶרַעaliveחַיּוֹתonעַלthe faceפְּנֵיof allכָלthe earth.הָאָרֶץ
ForכִּיinלְsevenשִׁבְעָהmoreעוֹדdaysיָמִיםIאָנֹכִיwill send rainמַמְטִירonעַלthe earthהָאָרֶץfortyאַרְבָּעִיםdaysיוֹםand fortyוְאַרְבָּעִיםnights,לָיְלָהand I will wipe outוּמָחִיתִיallאֶת כָּלthat exists,הַיְקוּםwhichאֲשֶׁרI have made,עָשִׂיתִיfrom the faceמֵעַל פְּנֵיof the ground.”הָאֲדָמָה
AndוַNoahנֹחַdidיַּעַשׂaccording to allכְּכֹלthatאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commanded him.צִוָּהוּ
And Noahוְנֹחַwassix hundredשֵׁשׁ מֵאוֹתyearsשָׁנָהoldבֶּןwhenוְthe floodהַמַּבּוּלcame,הָיָהwatersמַיִםonעַלthe earth.הָאָרֶץ
AndוַNoahנֹחַwentיָּבֹאintoאֶלthe ark,הַתֵּבָהand his sonsוּבָנָיוand his wifeוְאִשְׁתּוֹand the wivesוּנְשֵׁיof his sonsבָנָיוwith him,אִתּוֹbecause ofמִפְּנֵיthe watersמֵיof the flood.הַמַּבּוּל
Of the cleanהַטְּהוֹרָהanimalsמִן הַבְּהֵמָהand of the animalsוּמִן הַבְּהֵמָהthatאֲשֶׁרarenotאֵינֶנָּהclean,טְהֹרָהand of the birds,וּמִן הָעוֹףand of everythingוְכֹלthatאֲשֶׁרcreepsרֹמֵשׂonעַלthe ground,הָאֲדָמָה
twoשְׁנַיִםandtwoשְׁנַיִםthey cameבָּאוּto Noahאֶל נֹחַintoאֶלthe ark,הַתֵּבָהmaleזָכָרand female,וּנְקֵבָהasכַּאֲשֶׁרElohimאֱלֹהִיםhad commandedצִוָּהNoah.אֶת נֹחַ
And it happenedוַיְהִיafterלְthe sevenשִׁבְעַתdaysהַיָּמִיםthat the watersוּמֵיof the floodהַמַּבּוּלcameהָיוּonעַלthe earth.הָאָרֶץ
In theבִּsix hundredthשֵׁשׁ מֵאוֹתyearשְׁנַת שָׁנָהof the lifeלְחַיֵּיof Noah,נֹחַin the secondהַשֵּׁנִיmonth,בַּחֹדֶשׁon the seventeenthבְּשִׁבְעָה עָשָׂרdayיוֹםof the month,לַחֹדֶשׁon thatהַזֶּהdayבַּיּוֹםallכָּלthe springsמַעְיְנֹתof the greatרַבָּהdeepתְּהוֹםburst open,נִבְקְעוּandוַthe floodgatesאֲרֻבֹּתof the heavensהַשָּׁמַיִםwere opened.נִפְתָּחוּ
Andוַthe rainהַגֶּשֶׁםwasיְהִיonעַלthe earthהָאָרֶץfortyאַרְבָּעִיםdaysיוֹםand fortyוְאַרְבָּעִיםnights.לָיְלָה
On that veryבְּעֶצֶם הַזֶּהdayהַיּוֹםNoahנֹחַwentבָּאintoאֶלthe ark,הַתֵּבָהand Shemוְשֵׁםand Hamוְחָםand Japheth,וָיֶפֶתthe sonsבְּנֵיof Noah,נֹחַand the wifeוְאֵשֶׁתof Noahנֹחַand the threeוּשְׁלֹשֶׁתwivesנְשֵׁיof his sonsבָנָיוwith them,אִתָּם
they,הֵמָּהand everyוְכָלanimalהַחַיָּהaccording to its kind,לְמִינָהּand allוְכָלthe livestockהַבְּהֵמָהaccording to their kind,לְמִינָהּand everyוְכָלcreeping thingהָרֶמֶשׂthat creepsהָרֹמֵשׂonעַלthe earthהָאָרֶץaccording to its kind,לְמִינֵהוּand everyוְכָלbirdהָעוֹףaccording to its kind,לְמִינֵהוּeveryכֹּלbird,צִפּוֹרeveryכָּלwinged creature.כָּנָף
And they cameוַיָּבֹאוּto Noahאֶל נֹחַintoאֶלthe ark,הַתֵּבָהtwoשְׁנַיִםandtwoשְׁנַיִםof allמִכָּלfleshהַבָּשָׂרin whichאֲשֶׁר בּוֹisthe spiritרוּחַof life.חַיִּים
And those that came,וְהַבָּאִיםmaleזָכָרand femaleוּנְקֵבָהof allמִכָּלflesh,בָּשָׂרcameבָּאוּasכַּאֲשֶׁרElohimאֱלֹהִיםhad commandedצִוָּהhim;אֹתוֹandוַYHWHיְהוָהshutיִּסְגֹּרthe doorbehind him.בַּעֲדוֹ
Andוַthe floodהַמַּבּוּלwasיְהִיfortyאַרְבָּעִיםdaysיוֹםonעַלthe earth;הָאָרֶץandוַthe watersהַמַּיִםincreasedיִּרְבּוּand lifted upוַיִּשְׂאוּthe ark,אֶת הַתֵּבָהand it roseוַתָּרָםaboveמֵעַלthe earth.הָאָרֶץ
Andוַthe watersהַמַּיִםprevailedיִּגְבְּרוּand increasedוַיִּרְבּוּgreatlyמְאֹדonעַלthe earth,הָאָרֶץandוַthe arkהַתֵּבָהmovedתֵּלֶךְonעַלthe surfaceפְּנֵיof the waters.הַמָּיִם
And the watersוְהַמַּיִםprevailedגָּבְרוּvery, very muchמְאֹד מְאֹדonעַלthe earth,הָאָרֶץandוַallכָּלthe highהַגְּבֹהִיםmountainsהֶהָרִיםthatאֲשֶׁרareunderתַּחַתallכָּלthe heavensהַשָּׁמָיִםwere covered.יְכֻסּוּ
Fifteenחֲמֵשׁ עֶשְׂרֵהcubitsאַמָּהupwardמִלְמַעְלָהthe watersהַמָּיִםprevailed,גָּבְרוּandוַthe mountainsהֶהָרִיםwere covered.יְכֻסּוּ
Andוַallכָּלfleshבָּשָׂרthat movedהָרֹמֵשׂonעַלthe earthהָאָרֶץperished:יִּגְוַעbirds,בָּעוֹףlivestock,וּבַבְּהֵמָהanimals,וּבַחַיָּהand allוּבְכָלthe swarming thingsהַשֶּׁרֶץthat swarmהַשֹּׁרֵץonעַלthe earth,הָאָרֶץand allוְכֹלhuman beings.הָאָדָם
Everythingכֹּלthat hadאֲשֶׁרthe breathנִשְׁמַתof the spiritרוּחַof lifeחַיִּיםin its nostrils,בְּאַפָּיוof allמִכֹּלthatאֲשֶׁרwason dry land,בֶּחָרָבָהdied.מֵתוּ
Andוַhe wiped outיִּמַחallאֶת כָּלthat existedהַיְקוּםthatאֲשֶׁרwason the faceעַל פְּנֵיof the ground,הָאֲדָמָהfrom human beingמֵאָדָםtoעַדlivestock,בְּהֵמָהtoעַדcreeping thingsרֶמֶשׂand toוְעַדthe birdsעוֹףof the sky;הַשָּׁמַיִםandוַthey were wiped outיִּמָּחוּfrom the earth.מִן הָאָרֶץAndוַonlyאַךְNoahנֹחַwas left,יִשָּׁאֶרand those whoוַאֲשֶׁרwerewith himאִתּוֹin the ark.בַּתֵּבָה
Andוַthe watersהַמַּיִםprevailedיִּגְבְּרוּonעַלthe earthהָאָרֶץa hundredמְאַתandוּfiftyחֲמִשִּׁיםdays.יוֹם
