Nowδὲthe feastἡ ἑορτὴof Unleavened Bread,τῶν ἀζύμωνwhichἡis calledλεγομένηPassover,Πάσχαwas drawing near.Ἤγγιζεν

Andκαὶthe high priestsοἱ ἀρχιερεῖςandκαὶthe scribesοἱ γραμματεῖςwere seekingἐζήτουνhowτὸ πῶςthey might putἀνέλωσινhimαὐτόνto death,ἀνέλωσινforγὰρthey fearedἐφοβοῦντοthe people.τὸν λαόν

AndδὲSatanΣατανᾶςenteredΕἰσῆλθενintoεἰςJudasἸούδανcalledτὸν καλούμενονIscariot,Ἰσκαριώτηνwho wasὄνταofἐκthe numberτοῦ ἀριθμοῦof the twelve;τῶν δώδεκα

andκαὶhe went awayἀπελθὼνand discussedσυνελάλησενwith the high priestsτοῖς ἀρχιερεῦσινandκαὶcaptains of the temple guardστρατηγοῖςhowτὸ πῶςhe might handπαραδῷhimαὐτόνoverπαραδῷto them.αὐτοῖς

Andκαὶthey were gladἐχάρησανandκαὶagreedσυνέθεντοto giveδοῦναιhimαὐτῷmoney.ἀργύριον

Andκαὶhe consentedἐξωμολόγησενandκαὶwas seekingἐζήτειan opportunityεὐκαιρίανto handτοῦ παραδοῦναιhimαὐτὸνoverπαραδοῦναιto themαὐτοῖςapart fromἄτερthe crowd.ὄχλου

Andδὲthe dayἡ ἡμέραof Unleavened Breadτῶν ἀζύμωνcame,Ἦλθενon whichᾗthe Passover lambτὸ πάσχαhad toἔδειbe sacrificed.θύεσθαι

Andκαὶhe sentἀπέστειλενPeterΠέτρονandκαὶJohn,Ἰωάννηνsaying,εἰπών“GoΠορευθέντεςand prepareἑτοιμάσατεthe Passoverτὸ πάσχαfor us,ἡμῖνso thatἵναwe may eat it.”φάγωμεν

Andδὲtheyοἱsaidεἶπανto him,αὐτῷ“WhereΠοῦdo you wantθέλειςus to prepare it?”ἑτοιμάσωμεν

Andδὲheὁsaidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“Look,Ἰδοὺwhen youὑμῶνhave enteredεἰσελθόντωνintoεἰςthe city,τὴν πόλινa manἄνθρωποςcarryingβαστάζωνa jarκεράμιονof waterὕδατοςwill meetσυναντήσειyou;ὑμῖνfollowἀκολουθήσατεhimαὐτῷintoεἰςthe houseτὴν οἰκίανintoεἰςwhichἣνhe enters.εἰσπορεύεται

Andκαὶyou will sayἐρεῖτεto the masterτῷ οἰκοδεσπότῃof the house,τῆς οἰκίας‘The Teacherὁ διδάσκαλοςsaysΛέγειto you,σοι“WhereΠοῦisἐστινthe guest roomτὸ κατάλυμαwhereὅπουI may eatφάγωthe Passoverτὸ πάσχαwithμετὰmyμουdisciples?”’τῶν μαθητῶν

And that oneκἀκεῖνοςwill showδείξειyouὑμῖνa largeμέγαupstairs roomἀνάγαιονfurnished;ἐστρωμένονprepare itἑτοιμάσατεthere.”ἐκεῖ

Andδὲthey went awayἀπελθόντεςand found itεὗρονjust asκαθὼςhe had toldεἰρήκειthem,αὐτοῖςandκαὶthey preparedἡτοίμασανthe Passover.τὸ πάσχα

AndΚαὶwhenὅτεthe hourἡ ὥραcame,ἐγένετοhe reclined at table,ἀνέπεσενandκαὶthe apostlesοἱ ἀπόστολοιwithσὺνhim.αὐτῷ

Andκαὶhe saidεἶπενtoπρὸςthem,αὐτούς“With desireἘπιθυμίᾳI have desiredἐπεθύμησαto eatφαγεῖνthisτοῦτοPassoverτὸ πάσχαwithμεθ’youὑμῶνbeforeπρὸ τοῦIμεsuffer.παθεῖν1

ForγὰρI tellλέγωyouὑμῖνthatὅτιI will neverοὐ μὴeatφάγωitαὐτὸuntilἕως ὅτουit is fulfilledπληρωθῇinἐνthe kingdomτῇ βασιλείᾳof God.”τοῦ θεοῦ

Andκαὶhaving receivedδεξάμενοςa cup,ποτήριονand given thanks,εὐχαριστήσαςhe said,εἶπεν“TakeΛάβετεthisτοῦτοandκαὶdivide itδιαμερίσατεamongεἰςyourselves;ἑαυτούς

forγὰρI tellλέγωyou,ὑμῖνI will neverοὐ μὴdrinkπίωfromἀπὸnow onτοῦ νῦνofἀπὸthe fruitτοῦ γενήματοςof the vineτῆς ἀμπέλουuntilἕως οὗthe kingdomἡ βασιλείαof Godτοῦ θεοῦcomes.”ἔλθῃ

Andκαὶtakingλαβὼνbread,ἄρτονand giving thanks,εὐχαριστήσαςhe broke itἔκλασενandκαὶgave itἔδωκενto them,αὐτοῖςsaying,λέγων“ThisΤοῦτόisἐστινmyμουbody,τὸ σῶμάwhichτὸis givenδιδόμενονforὑπὲρyou;ὑμῶνdoποιεῖτεthisτοῦτοinεἰςremembranceτὴν ἀνάμνησινof me.”ἐμὴν1

Andκαὶthe cupτὸ ποτήριονlikewiseὡσαύτωςafterμετὰthey had eaten,τὸ δειπνῆσαιsaying,λέγων“ThisΤοῦτοcupτὸ ποτήριονisthe newἡ καινὴcovenantδιαθήκηinἐνmyμουblood,τῷ αἵματίwhichτὸis poured outἐκχυννόμενονforὑπὲρyou.ὑμῶν2

Butπλὴνlook,ἰδοὺthe handἡ χεὶρof the one whoτοῦis handingπαραδιδόντοςmeμεoverπαραδιδόντοςiswithμετ’meἐμοῦonἐπὶthe table.τῆς τραπέζης

Forὅτιthe Sonὁ υἱὸςof Manτοῦ ἀνθρώπουis goingπορεύεταιasκατὰit has been determined,τὸ ὡρισμένονbutπλὴνwoeοὐαὶto thatτῷ ἐκείνῳmanἀνθρώπῳthroughδι’whomοὗhe is handed over!”παραδίδοται

Andκαὶtheyαὐτοὶbeganἤρξαντοto discussσυζητεῖνamongπρὸςthemselvesἑαυτοὺςwhichτὸ τίςofἐξthemαὐτῶνthenἄραit might beεἴηwhoὁwas goingμέλλωνto doπράσσεινthis.τοῦτο

Andδὲthere aroseἘγένετοalsoκαὶa disputeφιλονεικίαamongἐνthemαὐτοῖςas to whichτὸ τίςof themαὐτῶνseemedδοκεῖto beεἶναιthe greatest.μείζων

Andδὲheὁsaidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“The kingsΟἱ βασιλεῖςof the nationsτῶν ἐθνῶνlord it overκυριεύουσινthem,αὐτῶνandκαὶthose whoοἱexercise authority overἐξουσιάζοντεςthemαὐτῶνare calledκαλοῦνταιbenefactors.εὐεργέται

Butδὲyouὑμεῖςare notοὐχso;οὕτωςratherἀλλ’let the greatestὁ μείζωνamongἐνyouὑμῖνbecomeγινέσθωlikeὡςthe youngest,ὁ νεώτεροςandκαὶthe one who leadsὁ ἡγούμενοςlikeὡςthe one whoὁserves.διακονῶν

Forγὰρwhoτίςis greater,μείζωνthe one whoὁreclines at tableἀνακείμενοςorἢthe one whoὁserves?διακονῶνIs it notοὐχὶthe one whoὁreclines at table?ἀνακείμενοςButδὲIἐγὼamεἰμιamongἐν μέσῳyouὑμῶνasὡςthe one whoὁserves.διακονῶν

AndδέyouὙμεῖςareἐστεthose whoοἱhave remainedδιαμεμενηκότεςwithμετ’meἐμοῦinἐνmyμουtrials;τοῖς πειρασμοῖς

and Iκἀγὼassignδιατίθεμαιto you,ὑμῖνasκαθὼςmyμουFatherὁ πατήρassignedδιέθετόto me,μοιa kingdom,βασιλείαν

so thatἵναyou may eatἔσθητεandκαὶdrinkπίνητεatἐπὶmyμουtableτῆς τραπέζηςinἐνmyμουkingdom,τῇ βασιλείᾳandκαὶyou will sitκαθήσεσθεonἐπὶthronesθρόνωνjudgingκρίνοντεςthe twelveτὰς δώδεκαtribesφυλὰςof Israel.τοῦ Ἰσραήλ

Simon,ΣίμωνSimon,Σίμωνlook,ἰδοὺSatanὁ Σατανᾶςhas demandedἐξῃτήσατοto have you,ὑμᾶςto siftτοῦ σινιάσαιyoulikeὡςwheat;τὸν σῖτον

butδὲIἐγὼhave prayedἐδεήθηνforπερὶyouσοῦthatἵναyourσουfaithἡ πίστιςmay notμὴfail;ἐκλίπῃandκαὶyou,σύwhenποτεyou have turned back,ἐπιστρέψαςstrengthenστήρισονyourσουbrothers.”τοὺς ἀδελφούς

Andδὲheὁsaidεἶπενto him,αὐτῷ“Lord,ΚύριεwithμετὰyouσοῦI amεἰμιreadyἕτοιμόςto goπορεύεσθαιbothκαὶtoεἰςprisonφυλακὴνandκαὶtoεἰςdeath.”θάνατον

Andδὲheὁsaid,εἶπεν“I tellΛέγωyou,σοιPeter,Πέτρεthe roosterἀλέκτωρwill notοὐcrowφωνήσειtodayσήμερονuntilἕωςyou have deniedἀπαρνήσῃthree timesτρίςthat you knowεἰδέναιme.”με

AndΚαὶhe saidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“WhenὍτεI sentἀπέστειλαyouὑμᾶςwithoutἄτερmoneybagβαλλαντίουandκαὶbagπήραςandκαὶsandals,ὑποδημάτωνyou did notμήlackὑστερήσατεanything,τινοςdid you?”Andδὲtheyοἱsaid,εἶπαν“Nothing.”Οὐθενός

Andδὲhe saidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“ButἈλλὰnowνῦνlet the one whoὁhasἔχωνa moneybagβαλλάντιονtake it,ἀράτωand likewiseὁμοίωςalsoκαὶa bag;πήρανandκαὶlet the one whoὁdoes notμὴhave oneἔχωνsellπωλησάτωhisαὐτοῦcloakτὸ ἱμάτιονandκαὶbuyἀγορασάτωa sword.μάχαιραν

ForγὰρI tellλέγωyouὑμῖνthatὅτιthisτοῦτοthat is writtenτὸ γεγραμμένονmustδεῖbe accomplishedτελεσθῆναιinἐνme:ἐμοί‘AndΚαὶhe was countedἐλογίσθηwithμετὰthe lawless.’ἀνόμωνForγὰρindeedκαὶwhatτὸis written aboutπερὶmeἐμοῦhasἔχειits fulfillment.”τέλος1

Andδὲtheyοἱsaid,εἶπαν“Lord,Κύριεlook,ἰδοὺhere areὧδεtwoδύοswords.”μάχαιραιAndδὲheὁsaidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“It isἐστινenough.”Ἱκανόν

AndΚαὶgoing out,ἐξελθὼνhe went,ἐπορεύθηaccording toκατὰhis custom,τὸ ἔθοςtoεἰςthe Mountτὸ Ὄροςof Olives,τῶν Ἐλαιῶνandδὲthe disciplesοἱ μαθηταίalsoκαὶfollowedἠκολούθησανhim.αὐτῷ

Andδὲwhen he arrivedγενόμενοςatἐπὶthe place,τοῦ τόπουhe saidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“PrayΠροσεύχεσθεthat you may notμὴenterεἰσελθεῖνintoεἰςtemptation.”πειρασμόν

Andκαὶheαὐτὸςwithdrewἀπεσπάσθηfromἀπ’themαὐτῶνaboutὡσεὶa stone’sλίθουthrow,βολήνandκαὶkneeling downθεὶς τὰ γόναταhe was praying,προσηύχετο

saying,λέγων“Father,Πάτερifεἰyou are willing,βούλειtakeπαρένεγκεthisτοῦτοcupτὸ ποτήριονaway fromἀπ’me;ἐμοῦyetπλὴνnotμὴmyμουwill,τὸ θέλημάbutἀλλὰyours,τὸ σὸνbe done.”γινέσθω

Andδὲan angelἄγγελοςfromἀπ’heavenοὐρανοῦappearedὤφθηto him,αὐτῷstrengtheningἐνισχύωνhim.αὐτόν

Andκαὶbeingγενόμενοςinἐνanguish,ἀγωνίᾳhe was prayingπροσηύχετοmore earnestly;ἐκτενέστερονandκαὶhisαὐτοῦsweatὁ ἱδρὼςbecameἐγένετοlikeὡσεὶgreat dropsθρόμβοιof bloodαἵματοςfallingκαταβαίνοντεςdown onἐπὶthe ground.τὴν γῆν

Andκαὶrisingἀναστὰςfromἀπὸprayer,τῆς προσευχῆςhe cameἐλθὼνtoπρὸςthe disciplesτοὺς μαθητὰςand foundεὗρενthemαὐτοὺςsleepingκοιμωμένουςfromἀπὸsorrow.τῆς λύπης

Andκαὶhe saidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“WhyΤίare you sleeping?καθεύδετεGet upἀναστάντεςand prayπροσεύχεσθεthatἵναyou may notμὴenterεἰσέλθητεintoεἰςtemptation.”πειρασμόν

While heαὐτοῦwas stillἜτιspeaking,λαλοῦντοςlook,ἰδοὺa crowd came,ὄχλοςandκαὶthe oneὁcalledλεγόμενοςJudas,Ἰούδαςoneεἷςof the twelve,τῶν δώδεκαwas going ahead ofπροήρχετοthem,αὐτούςandκαὶhe drew nearἤγγισενto Jesusτῷ Ἰησοῦto kissφιλῆσαιhim.αὐτόν

ButδὲJesusἸησοῦςsaidεἶπενto him,αὐτῷ“Judas,Ἰούδαwith a kissφιλήματιare you handing overπαραδίδωςthe Sonτὸν υἱὸνof Man?”τοῦ ἀνθρώπου

Andδὲwhenἰδόντεςthoseοἱaroundπερὶhimαὐτὸνsawἰδόντεςwhatτὸwas going to happen,ἐσόμενονthey said,εἶπαν“Lord,Κύριεshallεἰwe strikeπατάξομενwithἐνthe sword?”μαχαίρῃ

Andκαὶa certainτιςoneεἷςofἐξthemαὐτῶνstruckἐπάταξενthe slaveτὸν δοῦλονof the high priestτοῦ ἀρχιερέωςandκαὶcut offἀφεῖλενhisαὐτοῦrightτὸ δεξιόνear.τὸ οὖς

ButδὲJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςansweredἀποκριθεὶςand said,εἶπεν“Leave off;Ἐᾶτεenoughἕωςof this!”τούτουAndκαὶtouchingἁψάμενοςthe ear,τοῦ ὠτίουhe healedἰάσατοhim.αὐτόν

AndδὲJesusἸησοῦςsaidεἶπενtoπρὸςthose who had comeτοὺς παραγενομένουςagainstἐπ’him,αὐτὸνhigh priestsἀρχιερεῖςandκαὶcaptainsστρατηγοὺςof the temple guardτοῦ ἱεροῦandκαὶelders,πρεσβυτέρους“Have you come outἐξήλθατεasὩςagainstἐπὶa robber,λῃστὴνwithμετὰswordsμαχαιρῶνandκαὶclubs?ξύλων

Day after day,καθ’ ἡμέρανwhile Iμουwasὄντοςwithμεθ’youὑμῶνinἐνthe temple,τῷ ἱερῷyou did notοὐκstretch outἐξετείνατεyour handsτὰς χεῖραςagainstἐπ’me;ἐμέbutἀλλ’thisαὕτηisἐστὶνyourὑμῶνhour,ἡ ὥραandκαὶthe authorityἡ ἐξουσίαof darkness.”τοῦ σκότους

AndδὲseizingΣυλλαβόντεςhim,αὐτὸνthey led him awayἤγαγονandκαὶbrought himεἰσήγαγονintoεἰςthe houseτὴν οἰκίανof the high priest;τοῦ ἀρχιερέωςandδὲPeterὁ Πέτροςwas followingἠκολούθειat a distance.μακρόθεν

Andδὲwhen they had kindledπεριαψάντωνa fireπῦρinἐνthe middleμέσῳof the courtyardτῆς αὐλῆςandκαὶsat down together,συγκαθισάντωνPeterὁ Πέτροςwas sittingἐκάθητοamongμέσοςthem.αὐτῶν

Andδὲa certainτιςservant girl,παιδίσκηseeingἰδοῦσαhimαὐτὸνsittingκαθήμενονfacingπρὸςthe lightτὸ φῶςandκαὶlooking intentlyἀτενίσασαat him,αὐτῷsaid,εἶπεν“This manοὗτοςalsoΚαὶwasἦνwithσὺνhim.”αὐτῷ

Butδὲheὁdenied it,ἠρνήσατοsaying,λέγων“I do notΟὐκknowοἶδαhim,αὐτόνwoman.”γύναι

Andκαὶafterμετὰa little whileβραχὺanotherἕτεροςsawἰδὼνhimαὐτὸνand said,ἔφη“YouσὺalsoΚαὶareεἶone ofἐξthem.”αὐτῶνButδὲPeterὁ Πέτροςsaid,ἔφη“Man,ἌνθρωπεI am not.”οὐκ εἰμί

Andκαὶafter aboutὡσεὶoneμιᾶςhourὥραςhad passed,διαστάσηςa certainτιςother manἄλλοςkept insisting,διϊσχυρίζετοsaying,λέγων“InἘπ’truthἀληθείαςthis manοὗτοςalsoκαὶwasἦνwithμετ’him,αὐτοῦforγὰρhe isἐστινalsoκαὶa Galilean.”Γαλιλαῖός

ButδὲPeterὁ Πέτροςsaid,εἶπεν“Man,ἌνθρωπεI do notοὐκknowοἶδαwhatὃyou are saying.”λέγειςAndκαὶimmediately,παραχρῆμαwhileλαλοῦντοςheαὐτοῦwas stillἔτιspeaking,λαλοῦντοςa roosterἀλέκτωρcrowed.ἐφώνησεν

Andκαὶthe Lordὁ κύριοςturnedστραφεὶςand lookedἐνέβλεψενat Peter;τῷ ΠέτρῳandκαὶPeterὁ Πέτροςrememberedὑπεμνήσθηthe wordτοῦ λόγουof the Lord,τοῦ κυρίουhowὡςhe had saidεἶπενto him,αὐτῷ“BeforeΠρὶνthe roosterἀλέκτοραcrowsφωνῆσαιtoday,σήμερονyou will denyἀπαρνήσῃmeμεthree times.”τρίς

Andκαὶhe wentἐξελθὼνoutsideἔξωand weptἔκλαυσενbitterly.πικρῶς

AndΚαὶthe menοἱ ἄνδρεςwhoοἱwere holdingσυνέχοντεςhimαὐτὸνwere mockingἐνέπαιζονhim,αὐτῷbeating him;δέροντες

andκαὶblindfoldingπερικαλύψαντεςhim,αὐτὸνthey kept asking him,ἐπηρώτωνsaying,λέγοντες“Prophesy!ΠροφήτευσονWhoτίςisἐστινthe one whoὁstruckπαίσαςyou?”σε

Andκαὶthey were sayingἔλεγονmanyπολλὰother thingsἕτεραagainstεἰςhim,αὐτόνblaspheming.βλασφημοῦντες

AndΚαὶwhenὡςdayἡμέραcame,ἐγένετοthe council of eldersτὸ πρεσβυτέριονof the peopleτοῦ λαοῦwas gathered together,συνήχθηbothτεhigh priestsἀρχιερεῖςandκαὶscribes,γραμματεῖςandκαὶthey ledἀπήγαγονhimαὐτὸνawayἀπήγαγονtoεἰςtheirαὐτῶνcouncil,τὸ συνέδριον

saying,λέγοντες“IfΕἰyouσὺareεἶthe Messiah,ὁ χριστόςtellεἰπὸνus.”ἡμῖνButδὲhe saidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“IfἘὰνI tellεἴπωyou,ὑμῖνyou will certainly notοὐ μὴbelieve;πιστεύσητε

andδὲifἐὰνI ask you,ἐρωτήσωyou will certainly notοὐ μὴanswer.ἀποκριθῆτε

Butδὲfromἀπὸnow onτοῦ νῦνthe Sonὁ υἱὸςof Manτοῦ ἀνθρώπουwill beἔσταιseatedκαθήμενοςatἐκthe right handδεξιῶνof the powerτῆς δυνάμεωςof God.”τοῦ θεοῦ1

Andδὲthey allπάντεςsaid,εἶπαν“Are you,Σὺ εἶthen,οὖνthe Sonὁ υἱὸςof God?”τοῦ θεοῦAndδὲheὁsaidἔφηtoπρὸςthem,αὐτοὺς“YouὙμεῖςsayλέγετεthatὅτιIἐγώam.”εἰμι

Andδὲtheyοἱsaid,εἶπαν“WhatΤίfurtherἔτιneedχρείανdo we haveἔχομενof testimony?μαρτυρίαςForγὰρwe ourselvesαὐτοὶhave heard itἠκούσαμενfromἀπὸhisαὐτοῦown mouth.”τοῦ στόματος
