Andκαὶhe cried outἔκραξενwithἐνa mightyἰσχυρᾷvoice,φωνῇsaying,λέγων“Fallen,Ἔπεσενfallenἔπεσενis BabylonΒαβυλὼνthe great!ἡ μεγάληAndκαὶshe has becomeἐγένετοa dwelling placeκατοικητήριονof demonsδαιμονίωνandκαὶa hauntφυλακὴof everyπαντὸςuncleanἀκαθάρτουspirit,πνεύματοςandκαὶa hauntφυλακὴof everyπαντὸςuncleanἀκαθάρτουbird,ὀρνέουandκαὶa hauntφυλακὴof everyπαντὸςuncleanἀκαθάρτουandκαὶhatedμεμισημένουbeast,θηρίου
becauseὅτιallπάνταthe nationsτὰ ἔθνηhave fallenπέπτωκανfromἐκthe wineτοῦ οἴνουof the furyτοῦ θυμοῦof herαὐτῆςsexual immorality,τῆς πορνείαςandκαὶthe kingsοἱ βασιλεῖςof the earthτῆς γῆςcommitted sexual immoralityἐπόρνευσανwithμετ’her,αὐτῆςandκαὶthe merchantsοἱ ἔμποροιof the earthτῆς γῆςgrew richἐπλούτησανfromἐκthe powerτῆς δυνάμεωςof herαὐτῆςluxury.”τοῦ στρήνους
AndΚαὶI heardἤκουσαanotherἄλληνvoiceφωνὴνfromἐκheavenτοῦ οὐρανοῦsaying,λέγουσαν“Come outἘξέλθατεofἐξher,αὐτῆςmyμουpeople,ὁ λαόςso thatἵναyou may notμὴtake partσυγκοινωνήσητεin herαὐτῆςsins,ταῖς ἁμαρτίαιςandκαὶso thatἵναyou may notμὴreceiveλάβητεanyofἐκherαὐτῆςplagues;τῶν πληγῶν
forὅτιherαὐτῆςsinsαἱ ἁμαρτίαιhave piled upἐκολλήθησανas high asἄχριheaven,τοῦ οὐρανοῦandκαὶGodὁ θεὸςhas rememberedἐμνημόνευσενherαὐτῆςwrongdoings.τὰ ἀδικήματα
Pay backἀπόδοτεherαὐτῇasὡςsheαὐτὴalsoκαὶpaid back,ἀπέδωκενandκαὶgive her doubleδιπλώσατε τὰ διπλᾶaccording toκατὰherαὐτῆςworks;τὰ ἔργαinἐνthe cupτῷ ποτηρίῳthatᾧshe mixed,ἐκέρασενmixκεράσατεherαὐτῇa double portion.διπλοῦν
As much asὅσαshe glorifiedἐδόξασενherselfαὑτὴνandκαὶlived in luxury,ἐστρηνίασενso muchτοσοῦτονtormentβασανισμὸνandκαὶgriefπένθοςgiveδότεher.αὐτῇBecauseὅτιinἐνherαὐτῆςheartτῇ καρδίᾳshe says,λέγει‘I sitΚάθημαιas queen,βασίλισσαandκαὶI amεἰμίnotοὐκa widow,χήραandκαὶI will neverοὐ μὴseeἴδωgrief.’πένθος
Thereforeδιὰ τοῦτοinἐνoneμιᾷdayἡμέρᾳherαὐτῆςplaguesαἱ πληγαὶwill come,ἥξουσινdeathθάνατοςandκαὶgriefπένθοςandκαὶfamine,λιμόςandκαὶshe will be burned upκατακαυθήσεταιwithἐνfire;πυρὶforὅτιmightyἰσχυρὸςisthe LordκύριοςGodὁ θεὸςwho judgedὁ κρίναςher.αὐτήν
AndΚαὶthe kingsοἱ βασιλεῖςof the earthτῆς γῆςwhoοἱcommitted sexual immoralityπορνεύσαντεςandκαὶlived in luxuryστρηνιάσαντεςwithμετ’herαὐτῆςwill weepκλαύσουσινandκαὶmournκόψονταιoverἐπ’herαὐτὴνwhenὅτανthey seeβλέπωσινthe smokeτὸν καπνὸνof herαὐτῆςburning,τῆς πυρώσεως
standingἑστηκότεςfarἀπὸoffμακρόθενforδιὰfearτὸν φόβονof herαὐτῆςtorment,τοῦ βασανισμοῦsaying,λέγοντες“Woe,Οὐαὶwoe,οὐαίthe greatἡ μεγάληcity,ἡ πόλιςBabylon,Βαβυλὼνthe mightyἡ ἰσχυράcity!ἡ πόλιςForὅτιin oneμιᾷhourὥρᾳyourσουjudgmentἡ κρίσιςhas come.”ἦλθεν
AndΚαὶthe merchantsοἱ ἔμποροιof the earthτῆς γῆςweepκλαίουσινandκαὶmournπενθοῦσινoverἐπ’her,αὐτήνbecauseὅτιno oneοὐδεὶςbuysἀγοράζειtheirαὐτῶνcargoτὸν γόμονany longer,οὐκέτι
cargoγόμονof goldχρυσοῦandκαὶsilverἀργύρουandκαὶpreciousτιμίουstoneλίθουandκαὶpearlsμαργαριτῶνandκαὶfine linenβυσσίνουandκαὶpurpleπορφύραςandκαὶsilkσιρικοῦandκαὶscarlet,κοκκίνουandκαὶall kinds ofπᾶνcitronθύϊνονwoodξύλονandκαὶeveryπᾶνarticleσκεῦοςof ivoryἐλεφάντινονandκαὶeveryπᾶνarticleσκεῦοςofἐκmost preciousτιμιωτάτουwoodξύλουandκαὶbronzeχαλκοῦandκαὶironσιδήρουandκαὶmarble,μαρμάρου
andκαὶcinnamonκιννάμωμονandκαὶamomumἄμωμονandκαὶincenseθυμιάματαandκαὶperfumeμύρονandκαὶfrankincenseλίβανονandκαὶwineοἶνονandκαὶolive oilἔλαιονandκαὶfine flourσεμίδαλινandκαὶwheatσῖτονandκαὶcattleκτήνηandκαὶsheep,πρόβαταandκαὶhorsesἵππωνandκαὶcarriagesῥεδῶνandκαὶbodies,σωμάτωνandκαὶsoulsψυχὰςof human beings.ἀνθρώπων
Andκαὶthe ripe fruitἡ ὀπώραthatyourσουsoulτῆς ψυχῆςlonged forτῆς ἐπιθυμίαςhas goneἀπῆλθενfromἀπὸyou,σοῦandκαὶallπάνταthe luxuriesτὰ λιπαρὰandκαὶthe splendorsτὰ λαμπρὰhave perishedἀπώλετοfromἀπὸyou,σοῦandκαὶneverοὐ μὴagainοὐκέτιwill they findεὑρήσουσινthem.αὐτὰ
The merchantsοἱ ἔμποροιof these things,τούτωνwho grew richοἱ πλουτήσαντεςfromἀπ’her,αὐτῆςwill standστήσονταιfarἀπὸoffμακρόθενforδιὰfearτὸν φόβονof herαὐτῆςtorment,τοῦ βασανισμοῦweepingκλαίοντεςandκαὶmourning,πενθοῦντες
saying,λέγοντες“Woe,Οὐαὶwoe,οὐαίthe greatἡ μεγάληcity,ἡ πόλιςthat was clothedἡ περιβεβλημένηin fine linenβύσσινονandκαὶpurpleπορφυροῦνandκαὶscarlet,κόκκινονandκαὶadornedκεχρυσωμένηwith goldχρυσίῳandκαὶpreciousτιμίῳstoneλίθῳandκαὶpearl!μαργαρίτῃ
Forὅτιin oneμιᾷhourὥρᾳsuch greatὁ τοσοῦτοςwealthπλοῦτοςhas been laid waste!”ἠρημώθηAndΚαὶeveryπᾶςship captainκυβερνήτηςandκαὶeveryoneπᾶς ὁwho sailsπλέωνtoἐπὶanyplace,τόπονandκαὶsailors,ναῦταιandκαὶall whoὅσοιworkἐργάζονταιonτὴνthe sea,θάλασσανstoodἔστησανfarἀπὸoffμακρόθεν
andκαὶcried outἔκραξανas they sawβλέποντεςthe smokeτὸν καπνὸνof herαὐτῆςburning,τῆς πυρώσεωςsaying,λέγοντες“WhatΤίςcity islikeὁμοίαthe greatτῇ μεγάλῃcity?”τῇ πόλει
Andκαὶthey threwἔβαλονdustχοῦνonἐπὶtheirαὐτῶνheadsτὰς κεφαλὰςandκαὶcried out,ἔκραξανweepingκλαίοντεςandκαὶmourning,πενθοῦντεςsaying,λέγοντες“Woe,Οὐαὶwoe,οὐαίthe greatἡ μεγάληcity,ἡ πόλιςinἐνwhichᾗallπάντεςwho hadοἱ ἔχοντεςshipsτὰ πλοῖαonἐνthe seaτῇ θαλάσσῃgrew richἐπλούτησανfromἐκherαὐτῆςwealth!τῆς τιμιότητοςForὅτιin oneμιᾷhourὥρᾳshe has been laid waste.”ἠρημώθη
RejoiceΕὐφραίνουoverἐπ’her,αὐτῇheaven,οὐρανέandκαὶyou saintsοἱ ἅγιοιandκαὶapostlesοἱ ἀπόστολοιandκαὶprophets,οἱ προφῆταιbecauseὅτιGodὁ θεὸςhas judgedἔκρινενyourὑμῶνcaseτὸ κρίμαagainstἐξher.αὐτῆς
AndΚαὶoneεἷςmightyἰσχυρὸςangelἄγγελοςpicked upἦρενa stoneλίθονlikeὡςa greatμέγανmillstoneμύλινονandκαὶthrew itἔβαλενintoεἰςthe sea,τὴν θάλασσανsaying,λέγων“ThusΟὕτωςwith violenceὁρμήματιBabylonΒαβυλὼνthe greatἡ μεγάληcityπόλιςwill be thrown down,βληθήσεταιandκαὶwill neverοὐ μὴbe foundεὑρεθῇagain.ἔτι
Andκαὶthe soundφωνὴof harpistsκιθαρῳδῶνandκαὶmusiciansμουσικῶνandκαὶflute playersαὐλητῶνandκαὶtrumpetersσαλπιστῶνwill neverοὐ μὴbe heardἀκουσθῇinἐνyouσοὶagain,ἔτιandκαὶnoπᾶς οὐ μὴcraftsmanτεχνίτηςof anyπάσηςcraftτέχνηςwill be foundεὑρεθῇinἐνyouσοὶagain,ἔτιandκαὶthe soundφωνὴof a millμύλουwill neverοὐ μὴbe heardἀκουσθῇinἐνyouσοὶagain,ἔτι
andκαὶthe lightφῶςof a lampλύχνουwill neverοὐ μὴshineφάνῃinἐνyouσοὶagain,ἔτιandκαὶthe voiceφωνὴof bridegroomνυμφίουandκαὶbrideνύμφηςwill neverοὐ μὴbe heardἀκουσθῇinἐνyouσοὶagain;ἔτιforὅτιyourσουmerchantsοἱ ἔμποροίwereἦσανthe great menοἱ μεγιστᾶνεςof the earth,τῆς γῆςforὅτιbyἐνyourσουsorceryτῇ φαρμακείᾳallπάνταthe nationsτὰ ἔθνηwere deceived.ἐπλανήθησαν
Andκαὶinἐνherαὐτῇwas foundεὑρέθηthe bloodαἷμαof prophetsπροφητῶνandκαὶof saintsἁγίωνandκαὶof allπάντωνwho have been slaughteredτῶν ἐσφαγμένωνonἐπὶthe earth.”τῆς γῆς
