andκαὶallπάντεςateἔφαγονthe sameτὸ αὐτὸspiritualπνευματικὸνfood,βρῶμα
andκαὶallπάντεςdrankἔπιονthe sameτὸ αὐτὸspiritualπνευματικὸνdrink;πόμαforγὰρthey were drinkingἔπινονfromἐκa spiritualπνευματικῆςrockπέτραςthat followed them,ἀκολουθούσηςandδὲthe rockἡ πέτραwasἦνthe Messiah.ὁ Χριστός
Butἀλλ’with mostἐν τοῖς πλείοσινof themαὐτῶνGodὁ θεόςwas notοὐκpleased,ηὐδόκησενforγὰρthey were struck downκατεστρώθησανinἐνthe wilderness.τῇ ἐρήμῳ

Norμηδὲlet us commit sexual immorality,πορνεύωμενasκαθώςsomeτινεςof themαὐτῶνcommitted sexual immorality,ἐπόρνευσανandκαὶtwenty-three thousandεἴκοσι τρεῖς χιλιάδεςfellἔπεσανin one day.μιᾷ ἡμέρᾳ

Soὥστεthe one whoὁthinksδοκῶνhe standsἑστάναιshould watch outβλεπέτωthat he does notμὴfall.πέσῃ
Noοὐκtemptationπειρασμὸςhas seizedεἴληφενyouὑμᾶςexceptεἰ μὴa human one;ἀνθρώπινοςandδὲGodὁ θεόςisfaithful,πιστὸςwhoὃςwill notοὐκletἐάσειyouὑμᾶςbe temptedπειρασθῆναιbeyondὑπὲρwhatὃyou are able,δύνασθεbutἀλλὰwithσὺνthe temptationτῷ πειρασμῷwill alsoκαὶprovideποιήσειthe way out,τὴν ἔκβασινso as to be ableτοῦ δύνασθαιto endure it.ὑπενεγκεῖν
Therefore,Διόπερmy beloved,ἀγαπητοί μουfleeφεύγετεfromἀπὸidolatry.τῆς εἰδωλολατρίας
I speakλέγωasὡςto sensible people;φρονίμοιςjudgeκρίνατεfor yourselvesὑμεῖςwhatὅI say.φημι
The cupτὸ ποτήριονof blessingτῆς εὐλογίαςthatὃwe bless,εὐλογοῦμενis itἐστὶνnotοὐχὶa sharingκοινωνίαin the bloodτοῦ αἵματοςof the Messiah?τοῦ ΧριστοῦThe breadτὸν ἄρτονthatὃνwe break,κλῶμενis itἐστινnotοὐχὶa sharingκοινωνίαin the bodyτοῦ σώματοςof the Messiah?τοῦ Χριστοῦ
Becauseὅτιthere isoneεἷςbread,ἄρτοςwe, the many,οἱ πολλοίareἐσμενoneἓνbody,σῶμαforγὰρwe allοἱ πάντεςpartakeμετέχομενofἐκthe oneτοῦ ἑνὸςbread.ἄρτου
Look atβλέπετεIsraelτὸν Ἰσραὴλaccording toκατὰthe flesh:σάρκαareεἰσίνnotοὐχthose whoοἱeatἐσθίοντεςthe sacrificesτὰς θυσίαςsharersκοινωνοὶin the altar?τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου
Whatτίthenοὖνam I saying?φημιThatὅτιfood sacrificed to idolsεἰδωλόθυτόνisἐστινanything,τίorἢthatὅτιan idolεἴδωλόνisἐστινanything?τί
Rather,ἀλλ’I saythatὅτιwhatἃthey sacrifice,θύουσινthey sacrificeθύουσινto demonsδαιμονίοιςandκαὶnotοὐto God;θεῷandδὲI do notοὐwantθέλωyouὑμᾶςto becomeγίνεσθαιsharersκοινωνοὺςwith demons.τῶν δαιμονίων
You cannotοὐ δύνασθεdrinkπίνεινthe cupποτήριονof the Lordκυρίουandκαὶthe cupποτήριονof demons;δαιμονίωνyou cannotοὐ δύνασθεpartakeμετέχεινof the tableτραπέζηςof the Lordκυρίουandκαὶof the tableτραπέζηςof demons.δαιμονίων
Orἢare we provokingπαραζηλοῦμενthe Lordτὸν κύριονto jealousy?παραζηλοῦμενWe are notμὴ ἐσμενstrongerἰσχυρότεροιthan he,αὐτοῦare we?
All thingsΠάνταare permitted,ἔξεστινbutἀλλ’notοὐall thingsπάνταare beneficial;συμφέρειall thingsπάνταare permitted,ἔξεστινbutἀλλ’notοὐall thingsπάνταbuild up.οἰκοδομεῖ

forγὰρthe earthἡ γῆis the Lord’s,τοῦ κυρίουandκαὶits fullness.τὸ πλήρωμα αὐτῆς
Ifεἴoneτιςof the unbelieversτῶν ἀπίστωνinvitesκαλεῖyouὑμᾶςandκαὶyou wantθέλετεto go,πορεύεσθαιeatἐσθίετεeverythingπᾶνthatτὸis set beforeπαρατιθέμενονyou,ὑμῖνasking no questionsμηδὲν ἀνακρίνοντεςbecause ofδιὰconscience.τὴν συνείδησιν
Butδέifἐὰνsomeoneτιςsaysεἴπῃto you,ὑμῖνThisΤοῦτοhas beenἐστινoffered in sacrifice,ἱερόθυτόνdo notμὴeat it,ἐσθίετεbecause ofδι’that oneἐκεῖνονwhoτὸνtold you,μηνύσανταandκαὶbecause ofconscience;τὴν συνείδησιν
conscience,συνείδησινI mean,δὲ λέγωnotοὐχὶyour ownτὴν ἑαυτοῦbutἀλλὰthatτὴνof the other.τοῦ ἑτέρουForγὰρwhyἱνατίshould my freedomἡ ἐλευθερία μουbe judgedκρίνεταιbyὑπὸanother’sἄλληςconscience?συνειδήσεως
IfεἰIἐγὼpartakeμετέχωwith thanks,χάριτιwhyτίam I slanderedβλασφημοῦμαιforὑπὲρwhatοὗIἐγὼgive thanks for?εὐχαριστῶ
SoοὖνwhetherΕἴτεyou eatἐσθίετεorεἴτεdrinkπίνετεorεἴτεdoποιεῖτεanything,τιdoποιεῖτεall thingsπάνταforεἰςthe gloryδόξανof God.θεοῦ
Do not becomeγίνεσθεa cause of stumbling,ἀπρόσκοποιeitherκαὶto JewsἸουδαίοιςorκαὶto GreeksἝλλησινorκαὶto the assemblyτῇ ἐκκλησίᾳof God,τοῦ θεοῦ
just asκαθὼςI alsoκἀγὼpleaseἀρέσκωall peopleπᾶσινin all things,πάνταnotμὴseekingζητῶνmy ownτὸ ἐμαυτοῦadvantageσύμφορονbutἀλλὰthatτὸof the many,τῶν πολλῶνso thatἵναthey may be saved.σωθῶσιν
