Orἢis he speakingλέγειentirelyπάντωςfor our sake?δι’ ἡμᾶςYes,forγὰρour sakeδι’ ἡμᾶςit was written,ἐγράφηbecauseὅτιthe one who plowsὁ ἀροτριῶνoughtὀφείλειto plowἀροτριᾶνinἐπ’hope,ἐλπίδιandκαὶthe one who threshesὁ ἀλοῶνought to threshinἐπ’hopeἐλπίδιof sharing in the harvest.τοῦ μετέχειν
Ifεἰweἡμεῖςsowedἐσπείραμενspiritual thingsτὰ πνευματικὰfor you,ὑμῖνis ita great thingμέγαifεἰweἡμεῖςwill reapθερίσομενyourὑμῶνmaterial things?τὰ σαρκικὰ

Do you notοὐκknowοἴδατεthatὅτιthose whoοἱperformἐργαζόμενοιthe sacred servicesτὰ ἱερὰeatἐσθίουσινthe foodτὰfromἐκthe temple,τοῦ ἱεροῦandthose whoοἱattendπαρεδρεύοντεςthe altarτῷ θυσιαστηρίῳshareσυμμερίζονταιwith the altar?τῷ θυσιαστηρίῳ
In the same wayοὕτωςalsoκαὶthe Lordὁ κύριοςcommandedδιέταξενthose whoτοῖςproclaimκαταγγέλλουσινthe good newsτὸ εὐαγγέλιονto liveζῆνfromἐκthe good news.τοῦ εὐαγγελίου
ButδὲIἘγὼhave notοὐusedκέχρημαιanyοὐδενὶof these things.τούτωνAndδὲI am not writingοὐκ ἔγραψαthese thingsταῦταso thatἵναit may be doneγένηταιsoοὕτωςinἐνmy case;ἐμοίforγάρit would bebetterκαλὸν μᾶλλονfor meμοιto dieἀποθανεῖνthan—ἤno oneοὐδεὶςwill makeκενώσειmy boastτὸ καύχημά μουempty!κενώσει
ForγὰρifἐὰνI proclaim the good news,εὐαγγελίζωμαιI haveἔστιν μοιnothingοὐκto boast about,καύχημαforγάρnecessityἀνάγκηis laid uponἐπίκειταιme;μοιforγάρwoeοὐαὶisἐστινto meμοίifἐὰνI do notμὴproclaim the good news.εὐαγγελίσωμαι
ForγὰρifεἰI doπράσσωthisτοῦτοwillingly,ἑκὼνI haveἔχωa reward;μισθὸνbutδὲifεἰunwillingly,ἄκωνI have been entrusted withπεπίστευμαιa stewardship.οἰκονομίαν
Whatτίςthenοὖνisἐστινmyμούreward?ὁ μισθόςThatἵναin proclaiming the good newsεὐαγγελιζόμενοςI may offerθήσωthe good newsτὸ εὐαγγέλιονfree of charge,ἀδάπανονso asεἰς τὸnotμὴto make full useκαταχρήσασθαιof my rightτῇ ἐξουσίᾳ μουinἐνthe good news.τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ
Forγὰρthough I amὢνfreeἘλεύθεροςfromἐκall,πάντωνI enslavedἐδούλωσαmyselfἐμαυτὸνto all,πᾶσινso thatἵναI might winκερδήσωthe more people.τοὺς πλείονας
AndκαὶI becameἐγενόμηνto the Jewsτοῖς Ἰουδαίοιςasὡςa Jew,Ἰουδαῖοςso thatἵναI might winκερδήσωJews;Ἰουδαίουςto thoseτοῖςunderὑπὸthe lawνόμονasὡςunderὑπὸthe lawνόμον(notμὴbeingὢνmyselfαὐτὸςunderὑπὸthe law),νόμονso thatἵναI might winκερδήσωthoseτοὺςunderὑπὸthe law;νόμον
to those without the lawτοῖς ἀνόμοιςasὡςonewithout the lawἄνομος(notμὴbeingὢνwithout the lawἄνομοςof Godθεοῦbutἀλλ’under the lawἔννομοςof the Messiah),Χριστοῦso thatἵναI might winκερδάνωthose without the law.τοὺς ἀνόμους
I becameἐγενόμηνto the weakτοῖς ἀσθενέσινweak,ἀσθενήςso thatἵναI might winκερδήσωthe weak.τοὺς ἀσθενεῖςI have becomeγέγοναall thingsπάνταto all people,τοῖς πᾶσινso thatἵναby all meansπάντωςI might saveσώσωsome.τινὰς
AndδὲI doποιῶall thingsπάνταfor the sake ofδιὰthe good news,τὸ εὐαγγέλιονso thatἵναI may becomeγένωμαιa fellow sharerσυγκοινωνὸςin it.αὐτοῦ
Do you notΟὐκknowοἴδατεthatὅτιthose whoοἱrunτρέχοντεςinἐνa stadiumσταδίῳallπάντεςrun,μὲν τρέχουσινbutδὲonlyoneεἷςreceivesλαμβάνειthe prize?τὸ βραβεῖονRunτρέχετεin such a wayοὕτωςthatἵναyou may obtain it.καταλάβητε
Andδὲeveryoneπᾶςwhoὁcompetesἀγωνιζόμενοςexercises self-controlἐγκρατεύεταιin all things;πάνταtheyἐκεῖνοι μὲνthenοὖνdo ittoἵναreceiveλάβωσινa perishableφθαρτὸνcrown,στέφανονbutδὲweἡμεῖςan imperishable one.ἄφθαρτον
SoτοίνυνIἐγὼrunτρέχωin this way:οὕτωςnotοὐκas one who runsὡςaimlessly;ἀδήλωςI boxπυκτεύωin this way:οὕτωςnotοὐκas oneὡςbeatingδέρωνthe air.ἀέρα
ButἀλλὰI pummelὑπωπιάζωmyμουbodyτὸ σῶμαandκαὶenslave it,δουλαγωγῶfor fear thatμήsomehow,πωςafter preachingκηρύξαςto others,ἄλλοιςI myselfαὐτὸςshould becomeγένωμαιdisqualified.ἀδόκιμος
