“And when you allotוּבְהַפִּילְכֶםthe landהָאָרֶץas an inheritance,בְּנַחֲלָהyou shall set apartתָּרִימוּa contributionתְרוּמָהto YHWH,לַיהוָהa holy portionקֹדֶשׁfrom the land:מִן הָאָרֶץthe length,אֹרֶךְtwenty-fiveחֲמִשָּׁה וְעֶשְׂרִיםthousandאֶלֶףin length,אֹרֶךְand the width,וְרֹחַבtenעֲשָׂרָהthousand;אָלֶףit shall beהוּאholyקֹדֶשׁthroughoutבְכָלits territoryגְּבוּלָהּall around.סָבִיב
Of thisמִזֶּהthere shall beיִהְיֶהfor the holy placeאֶל הַקֹּדֶשׁfive hundredחֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹתby five hundred,בַּחֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹתsquareמְרֻבָּעall around;סָבִיבand fiftyוַחֲמִשִּׁיםcubitsאַמָּהof pasturelandמִגְרָשׁit shall haveלוֹall around.סָבִיב
And from this measured areaוּמִן הַמִּדָּה הַזֹּאתyou shall measureתָּמוֹדa lengthאֹרֶךְof twenty-fiveחֲמִשָּׁה וְעֶשְׂרִיםthousandאֶלֶףand a widthוְרֹחַבof tenעֲשֶׂרֶתthousand;אֲלָפִיםand in itוּבוֹshall beיִהְיֶהthe sanctuary,הַמִּקְדָּשׁthe most holy place.קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁים
Itהוּאis a holy portionקֹדֶשׁof the land;מִן הָאָרֶץit shall beיִהְיֶהfor the priests,לַכֹּהֲנִיםthe ministersמְשָׁרְתֵיof the sanctuary,הַמִּקְדָּשׁwho come nearהַקְּרֵבִיםto minister toלְשָׁרֵתYHWH;יְהוָהand it shall beוְהָיָהfor themלָהֶםa placeמָקוֹםfor housesלְבָתִּיםand a holy placeוּמִקְדָּשׁfor the sanctuary.לַמִּקְדָּשׁ
And twenty-fiveוַחֲמִשָּׁה וְעֶשְׂרִיםthousandאֶלֶףin lengthאֹרֶךְand tenוַעֲשֶׂרֶתthousandאֲלָפִיםin widthרֹחַבshall be for the Levites,וְהָיָה לַלְוִיִּםthe ministersמְשָׁרְתֵיof the house,הַבַּיִתfor themלָהֶםas a possession:לַאֲחֻזָּהtwentyעֶשְׂרִיםchambers.לְשָׁכֹת
And as the possessionוַאֲחֻזַּתof the cityהָעִירyou shall giveתִּתְּנוּfiveחֲמֵשֶׁתthousandאֲלָפִיםin widthרֹחַבand twenty-fiveוְ חֲמִשָּׁה וְעֶשְׂרִיםthousandאֶלֶףin length,אֹרֶךְcorresponding toלְעֻמַּתthe holyהַקֹּדֶשׁcontribution;תְּרוּמַתit shall beיִהְיֶהfor the wholeלְכָלhouseבֵּיתof Israel.יִשְׂרָאֵל
And to the chiefוְלַנָּשִׂיאshall belong land on one sideמִזֶּהand on the otherוּמִזֶּהof the holyהַקֹּדֶשׁcontributionלִתְרוּמַתand of the possessionוְלַאֲחֻזַּתof the city,הָעִירfacingאֶל פְּנֵיthe holyהַקֹּדֶשׁcontributionתְרוּמַתand facingוְאֶל פְּנֵיthe possessionאֲחֻזַּתof the city,הָעִירfrom the sideמִפְּאַתof the seaיָםtoward the seaיָמָּהand from the sideוּמִפְּאַתof the eastקֵדְמָהtoward the east,קָדִימָהand its lengthוְאֹרֶךְcorresponding toלְעֻמּוֹתoneאַחַדof the portions,הַחֲלָקִיםfrom the borderמִגְּבוּלof the seaיָםto the borderאֶל גְּבוּלof the east.קָדִימָה
As landלָאָרֶץit shall beיִהְיֶהhisלּוֹas a possessionלַאֲחֻזָּהin Israel;בְּיִשְׂרָאֵלandוְmy chiefsנְשִׂיאַיshall notלֹאoppressיוֹנוּmy peopleעַמִּיany longer,עוֹדbut the landוְהָאָרֶץthey shall giveיִתְּנוּto the houseלְבֵיתof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלaccording to their tribes.לְשִׁבְטֵיהֶם
ThusכֹּהsaysאָמַרAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH:יְהוִהEnough for you,רַב לָכֶםchiefsנְשִׂיאֵיof Israel!יִשְׂרָאֵלRemoveהָסִירוּviolenceחָמָסand destruction,וָשֹׁדand doוּ עֲשׂוּjusticeמִשְׁפָּטand righteousness;וּצְדָקָהliftהָרִימוּyour evictionsגְרֻשֹׁתֵיכֶםoffמֵעַלmy people,עַמִּיdeclaresנְאֻםAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH.יְהוִה
You shall haveיְהִי לָכֶםjustצֶדֶקbalances,מֹאזְנֵיa justצֶדֶקephah,וְאֵיפַתand a justצֶדֶקbath.וּבַת
The ephahהָאֵיפָהand the bathוְהַבַּתshall beיִהְיֶהof oneאֶחָדmeasure,תֹּכֶןso that the bath containsלָשֵׂאת הַבָּתa tenthמַעְשַׂרof a homer,הַחֹמֶרand the ephahוַ הָאֵיפָהa tenthעֲשִׂירִתof a homer;הַחֹמֶרaccording to the homerאֶל הַחֹמֶרshall beיִהְיֶהits measure.מַתְכֻּנְתּוֹ
And the shekelוְהַשֶּׁקֶלshall be twentyעֶשְׂרִיםgerahs;גֵּרָהtwentyעֶשְׂרִיםshekels,שְׁקָלִיםtwenty-fiveחֲמִשָּׁה וְעֶשְׂרִיםshekels,שְׁקָלִיםfifteenעֲשָׂרָה וַחֲמִשָּׁהshekelsשֶׁקֶלshall beיִהְיֶהthe minaהַמָּנֶהfor you.לָכֶם
This isזֹאתthe contributionהַתְּרוּמָהthatאֲשֶׁרyou shall set apart:תָּרִימוּa sixthשִׁשִּׁיתof an ephahהָאֵיפָהfrom a homerמֵחֹמֶרof wheat,הַחִטִּיםand you shall give a sixthוְשִׁשִּׁיתֶםof an ephahהָאֵיפָהfrom a homerמֵחֹמֶרof barley.הַשְּׂעֹרִים
And the statuteוְחֹקfor the oil,הַשֶּׁמֶןthe bathהַבַּתof oil:הַשֶּׁמֶןa tenthמַעְשַׂרof a bathהַבַּתfrom each kor;מִן הַכֹּרtenעֲשֶׂרֶתbathsהַבַּתִּיםare a homer,חֹמֶרforכִּיtenעֲשֶׂרֶתbathsהַבַּתִּיםare a homer.חֹמֶר
And oneוְ אַחַתlambשֶׂהfrom the flockמִן הַצֹּאןout of every two hundred,מִן הַמָּאתַיִםfrom the watered pasturesמִמַּשְׁקֵהof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלfor a grain offeringלְמִנְחָהand for a burnt offeringוּלְעוֹלָהand for peace offerings,וְלִשְׁלָמִיםto make expiationלְכַפֵּרfor them,עֲלֵיהֶםdeclaresנְאֻםAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH.יְהוִה
Allכֹּלthe peopleהָעָםof the landהָאָרֶץshall be boundיִהְיוּto this contributionאֶל הַתְּרוּמָה הַזֹּאתfor the chiefלַנָּשִׂיאin Israel.בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל
And on the chiefוְעַל הַנָּשִׂיאshall be the duty ofיִהְיֶהthe burnt offeringsהָעוֹלוֹתand the grain offeringוְהַמִּנְחָהand the libationוְהַנֵּסֶךְat the feastsבַּחַגִּיםand at the new moonsוּבֶחֳדָשִׁיםand on the Sabbaths,וּבַשַּׁבָּתוֹתat allבְּכָלthe appointed timesמוֹעֲדֵיof the houseבֵּיתof Israel;יִשְׂרָאֵלheהוּאshall offerיַעֲשֶׂהthe sin offeringאֶת הַחַטָּאתand the grain offeringוְאֶת הַמִּנְחָהand the burnt offeringוְאֶת הָעוֹלָהand the peace offerings,וְאֶת הַשְּׁלָמִיםto make expiationלְכַפֵּרforבְּעַדthe houseבֵּיתof Israel.יִשְׂרָאֵל
ThusכֹּהsaysאָמַרAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH:יְהוִהIn the first month,בָּרִאשׁוֹןon the first dayבְּאֶחָדof the month,לַחֹדֶשׁyou shall takeתִּקַּחa young bullפַּר בֶּן בָּקָרwithout defect,תָּמִיםand purifyוְחִטֵּאתָthe sanctuaryהַמִּקְדָּשׁfrom sin.חִטֵּאתָ
And the priestוְ הַכֹּהֵןshall takeלָקַחsome of the bloodמִדַּםof the sin offeringהַחַטָּאתand put itוְנָתַןon the doorpostאֶל מְזוּזַתof the house,הַבַּיִתand on the fourוְאֶל אַרְבַּעcornersפִּנּוֹתof the ledgeהָעֲזָרָהof the altar,לַמִּזְבֵּחַand on the doorpostוְעַל מְזוּזַתof the gateשַׁעַרof the innerהַפְּנִימִיתcourt.הֶחָצֵר
And soוְכֵןyou shall doתַּעֲשֶׂהon the seventhבְּשִׁבְעָהof the monthבַחֹדֶשׁfor anyoneמֵאִישׁwho errsשֹׁגֶהand for the simple;וּמִפֶּתִיand you shall make expiationוְכִפַּרְתֶּםfor the house.אֶת הַבָּיִת
In the first month,בָּרִאשׁוֹןon the fourteenthבְּאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂרdayיוֹםof the month,לַחֹדֶשׁyou shall haveיִהְיֶה לָכֶםthe Passover,הַפָּסַחa feastחָגof sevenשְׁבֻעוֹתdays;יָמִיםunleavened breadמַצּוֹתshall be eaten.יֵאָכֵל
And on that dayוְ בַּיּוֹם הַהוּאthe chiefהַנָּשִׂיאshall offerעָשָׂהfor himselfבַּעֲדוֹand for allוּבְעַד כָּלthe peopleעַםof the landהָאָרֶץa bullפַּרas a sin offering.חַטָּאת
And on the sevenוְשִׁבְעַתdaysיְמֵיof the feastהֶחָגhe shall offerיַעֲשֶׂהa burnt offeringעוֹלָהto YHWH:לַיהוָהsevenשִׁבְעַתbullsפָּרִיםand sevenוְשִׁבְעַתramsאֵילִיםwithout defectתְּמִימִםeach dayלַיּוֹםfor the sevenשִׁבְעַתdays;הַיָּמִיםand as a sin offeringוְחַטָּאתa male goatשְׂעִיר עִזִּיםeach day.לַיּוֹם
And as a grain offeringוּמִנְחָהhe shall offerיַעֲשֶׂהan ephahאֵיפָהfor each bullלַפָּרand an ephahוְאֵיפָהfor each ram,לָאַיִלand a hinוְ הִיןof oilשֶׁמֶןfor each ephah.לָאֵיפָה
In the seventh month,בַּשְּׁבִיעִיon the fifteenthבַּחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂרdayיוֹםof the month,לַחֹדֶשׁat the feast,בֶּחָגhe shall doיַעֲשֶׂהthe sameכָאֵלֶּהfor the sevenשִׁבְעַת הַdays,יָּמִיםas for the sin offering,כַּחַטָּאתas for the burnt offering,כָּעֹלָהas for the grain offering,וְכַמִּנְחָהand as for the oil.”וְכַשָּׁמֶן
