Butδὲthe one whoὁentersεἰσερχόμενοςthroughδιὰthe gateτῆς θύραςisἐστινthe shepherdποιμήνof the sheep.τῶν προβάτων
To himτούτῳthe gatekeeperὁ θυρωρὸςopens,ἀνοίγειandκαὶthe sheepτὰ πρόβαταhearἀκούειhis voice,τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦandκαὶhe callsφωνεῖhis ownτὰ ἴδιαsheepπρόβαταbyκατ’nameὄνομαandκαὶleadsἐξάγειthemαὐτάout.ἐξάγει
Whenὅτανhe has brought outἐκβάλῃallπάνταhis own,τὰ ἴδιαhe goesπορεύεταιahead ofἔμπροσθενthem,αὐτῶνandκαὶthe sheepτὰ πρόβαταfollowἀκολουθεῖhim,αὐτῷbecauseὅτιthey knowοἴδασινhis voice.τὴν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ
Butδὲa strangerἀλλοτρίῳthey will neverοὐ μὴfollow;ἀκολουθήσουσινinsteadἀλλὰthey will fleeφεύξονταιfromἀπ’him,αὐτοῦbecauseὅτιthey do notοὐκknowοἴδασιthe voiceτὴν φωνήνof strangers.”τῶν ἀλλοτρίων
Jesusὁ Ἰησοῦςtoldεἶπενthemαὐτοῖςthisταύτην τὴνfigure of speech,παροιμίανbutδὲtheyἐκεῖνοιdid notοὐκunderstandἔγνωσανwhatτίναthe things wereἦνthatἃhe was sayingἐλάλειto them.αὐτοῖς
SoοὖνJesusὁ ἸησοῦςsaidΕἶπενto themαὐτοῖςagain,πάλιν“Truly,Ἀμὴνtruly,ἀμὴνI tellλέγωyou,ὑμῖνIἐγώamεἰμιthe gateἡ θύραof the sheep.τῶν προβάτων
Allπάντεςwhoὅσοιcameἦλθονbeforeπρὸmeἐμοῦareεἰσὶνthievesκλέπταιandκαὶbandits,λῃσταίbutἀλλ’the sheepτὰ πρόβαταdid notοὐκlisten toἤκουσανthem.αὐτῶν
Iἐγώamεἰμιthe gate.ἡ θύραIfἐάνanyoneτιςentersεἰσέλθῃthroughδι’me,ἐμοῦhe will be saved,σωθήσεταιandκαὶwill go inεἰσελεύσεταιandκαὶgo outἐξελεύσεταιandκαὶfindεὑρήσειpasture.νομὴν
The thiefὁ κλέπτηςcomesἔρχεταιonlyοὐκ εἰ μὴtoἵναstealκλέψῃandκαὶslaughterθύσῃandκαὶdestroy.ἀπολέσῃIἐγὼcameἦλθονso thatἵναthey may haveἔχωσινlifeζωὴνandκαὶhave itἔχωσινin abundance.περισσὸν
IἘγώamεἰμιthe goodὁ καλόςshepherd.ὁ ποιμὴνThe goodὁ καλὸςshepherdὁ ποιμὴνlays downτίθησινhis lifeτὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦforὑπὲρthe sheep.τῶν προβάτων
The hired hand,ὁ μισθωτὸςwho isὢνnotοὐκa shepherdποιμήνandκαὶwhose ownοὗ ἴδιαthe sheepτὰ πρόβαταare not,οὐκ ἔστινseesθεωρεῖthe wolfτὸν λύκονcomingἐρχόμενονandκαὶleavesἀφίησινthe sheepτὰ πρόβαταandκαὶflees;φεύγειandκαὶthe wolfὁ λύκοςseizesἁρπάζειthemαὐτὰandκαὶscatters them.σκορπίζει
He fleesbecauseὅτιhe isἐστινa hired handμισθωτόςandκαὶdoes notοὐcareμέλειaboutπερὶthe sheep.τῶν προβάτων
Iἐγώamεἰμιthe goodὁ καλόςshepherd.ὁ ποιμὴνI knowκαὶ γινώσκωmy ownτὰ ἐμὰandκαὶmy ownτὰ ἐμάknowγινώσκουσίme,με
just asκαθὼςthe Fatherὁ πατὴρknowsγινώσκειmeμεand Iκἀγὼknowγινώσκωthe Father;τὸν πατέραandκαὶI lay downτίθημιmy lifeτὴν ψυχήν μουforὑπὲρthe sheep.τῶν προβάτων
AndκαὶI haveἔχωotherἄλλαsheepπρόβαταthatἃare notοὐκ ἔστινofἐκthis fold;τῆς αὐλῆς ταύτηςI mustδεῖ μεbringἀγαγεῖνthem also,κἀκεῖναandκαὶthey will listen toἀκούσουσινmy voice,τῆς φωνῆς μουandκαὶthey will becomeγενήσονταιoneμίαflock,ποίμνηoneεἷςshepherd.ποιμήν
For this reasonδιὰ τοῦτόthe Fatherὁ πατὴρlovesἀγαπᾷme,μεbecauseὅτιIἐγὼlay downτίθημιmy lifeτὴν ψυχήν μουin orderἵναto takeλάβωitαὐτήνup again.πάλιν
No oneοὐδεὶςtakesαἴρειitαὐτὴνfromἀπ’me,ἐμοῦbutἀλλ’Iἐγὼlayτίθημιitαὐτὴνdownτίθημιofἀπ’my own accord.ἐμαυτοῦI haveἔχωauthorityἐξουσίανto layθεῖναιitαὐτήνdown,θεῖναιandκαὶI haveἔχωauthorityἐξουσίανto takeλαβεῖνitαὐτήνup again.πάλινThisταύτηνcommandmentτὴν ἐντολὴνI receivedἔλαβονfromπαρὰmy Father.”τοῦ πατρός μου
Againπάλινa divisionΣχίσμαaroseἐγένετοamongἐνthe Jewsτοῖς Ἰουδαίοιςbecause ofδιὰthese words.τοὺς λόγους τούτους
Manyπολλοὶofἐξthemαὐτῶνwere saying,ἔλεγον“He hasἔχειa demonΔαιμόνιονandκαὶis out of his mind;μαίνεταιwhyτίdo you listen toἀκούετεhim?”αὐτοῦ
Othersἄλλοιwere saying,ἔλεγον“TheseΤαῦταare notοὐκ ἔστινthe wordsτὰ ῥήματαof a man possessed by a demon.δαιμονιζομένουCanμὴ δύναταιa demonδαιμόνιονopenἀνοῖξαιthe eyesὀφθαλμοὺςof the blind?”τυφλῶν

Soοὖνthe Jewsοἱ Ἰουδαῖοιgathered aroundἐκύκλωσανhimαὐτὸνandκαὶwere sayingἔλεγονto him,αὐτῷ“How longἝως πότεwill you keep us in suspense?τὴν ψυχὴν ἡμῶν αἴρειςIfεἰyouσὺareεἶthe Messiah,ὁ χριστόςtellεἰπὲusἡμῖνplainly.”παρρησίᾳ

butἀλλὰyouὑμεῖςdo notοὐbelieve,πιστεύετεbecauseὅτιyou are notοὐκ ἐστὲofἐκmyτῶν ἐμῶνsheep.τῶν προβάτων
Myτὰ ἐμὰsheepτὰ πρόβαταlisten toἀκούουσινmy voice,τῆς φωνῆς μουand Iκἀγὼknowγινώσκωthem,αὐτάandκαὶthey followἀκολουθοῦσίνme;μοι
and Iκἀγὼgiveδίδωμιthemαὐτοῖςeternalαἰώνιονlife,ζωὴνandκαὶthey will neverοὐ μὴperish,ἀπόλωνταιever;εἰς τὸν αἰῶναandκαὶno oneοὐχ τιςwill snatchἁρπάσειthemαὐτὰout ofἐκmy hand.τῆς χειρός μου
My Fatherὁ πατήρ μου—whatὃhe has givenδέδωκένmeμοιisἐστίνgreaterμεῖζωνthan all,πάντωνandκαὶno oneοὐδεὶςcanδύναταιsnatch themἁρπάζεινout ofἐκthe Father’sτοῦ πατρόςhand.τῆς χειρὸς

Jesusὁ Ἰησοῦςansweredἀπεκρίθηthem,αὐτοῖς“I have shownἔδειξαyouὑμῖνmanyΠολλὰgoodκαλὰworksἔργαfromἐκthe Father;τοῦ πατρόςforδιὰwhichποῖονof these worksαὐτῶν ἔργονare you stoningλιθάζετεme?”ἐμὲ
The Jewsοἱ Ἰουδαῖοιansweredἀπεκρίθησανhim,αὐτῷ“It is notοὐforΠερὶa goodκαλοῦworkἔργουthat we are stoningλιθάζομένyou,σεbutἀλλὰforπερὶblasphemy,βλασφημίαςandκαὶbecauseὅτιyou,σὺbeingὢνa man,ἄνθρωποςmakeποιεῖςyourselfσεαυτὸνGod.”θεόν
Jesusὁ Ἰησοῦςansweredἀπεκρίθηthem,αὐτοῖς“Is it notΟὐκ ἔστινwrittenγεγραμμένονinἐνyour law,τῷ νόμῳ ὑμῶν‘IἘγὼsaid,εἶπαyou areἐστεgods’?Θεοί
Ifεἰhe calledεἶπενthemἐκείνουςgods,θεοὺςtoπρὸςwhomοὓςthe wordὁ λόγοςof Godτοῦ θεοῦcameἐγένετο(andκαὶthe Scriptureἡ γραφήcannotοὐ δύναταιbe broken),λυθῆναι
do youὑμεῖςsayλέγετεof the one whomὃνthe Fatherὁ πατὴρsanctifiedἡγίασενandκαὶsentἀπέστειλενintoεἰςthe world,τὸν κόσμον‘You are blaspheming,’ΒλασφημεῖςbecauseὅτιI said,εἶπον‘I amεἰμιthe SonΥἱὸςof God’?τοῦ θεοῦ
IfεἰI am notοὐdoingποιῶthe worksτὰ ἔργαof my Father,τοῦ πατρός μουdo notμὴbelieveπιστεύετέme;μοι
butδὲifεἰI do them,ποιῶeven ifκἂνyou do notμὴbelieveπιστεύητεme,ἐμοὶbelieveπιστεύετεthe works,τοῖς ἔργοιςso thatἵναyou may knowγνῶτεandκαὶkeep on knowingγινώσκητεthatὅτιthe Fatherὁ πατὴρis inἐνmeἐμοὶand Iκἀγὼaminἐνthe Father.”τῷ πατρί
Soοὖνthey were seekingἐζήτουνagainπάλινto seizeπιάσαιhim,αὐτὸνandκαὶhe escapedἐξῆλθενfromἐκtheir hands.τῆς χειρὸς αὐτῶν
AndΚαὶhe went awayἀπῆλθενagainπάλινacrossπέρανthe Jordanτοῦ Ἰορδάνουtoεἰςthe placeτὸν τόπονwhereὅπουJohnἸωάννηςhad beenἦνimmersingβαπτίζωνat first,τὸ πρῶτονandκαὶhe stayedἔμεινενthere.ἐκεῖ
Andκαὶmanyπολλοὶcameἦλθονtoπρὸςhim,αὐτὸνandκαὶthey were saying,ἔλεγον“JohnἸωάννηςdidἐποίησενnoοὐδένsign,σημεῖονbutδὲeverythingπάνταthatὅσαJohnἸωάννηςsaidεἶπενaboutπερὶthis manτούτουwasἦνtrue.”ἀληθῆ
